This time, I made a hand plane shooting board, which is a workshop essential. This is great and very easy to use. It has all the features and precision. I think I could spend my whole life on this without ever having to reinvent it.
I recommend it to you too. Make it yours.

  • That is one versatile shooting board. Great work on the accuracy. An update down the road on the slide mechanism. The forces applied get concentrated onto the narrow base and that might be a racking point as the bearings wear. I could also be over thinking it, but the time and effort in the finished product is all contingent on that narrow base.

  • Nicely done project 👍🏻 you could also make a 30° fence/jig add on that would let you plane hexagonal pieces

  • Very impressive. Indeed, better than any other shooting board I've seen. Where did the side handle come from?

  • Great video! On a separate note, do you have a video of how you made your table saw blade guard? I have the same saw and would like to build that! Thanks! ✅👍🏻

  • One thing I've noticed with you yanks. You always love to mention how much you paid for something and it's always something ridiculously low.
