    • @@user-ws6qd1mo8q есть специальный тип шин который нарезают в основном это для грузовиков на них есть маркировка Regroveable в США с этим строго ... Мексы разве что беспределят но это не от хорошей жизни.

    • Им забыли про нормы рассказать, при какой остаточной толщине резины можно использовать покрышку😉. Технология восстановления кстати есть, но она в корне отличается от того чем они занимаются.

    • Смотрел видео про восстановление дисков, теперь здесь про восстановленные покрышки. Везде пишут про опасность и т.д. Только никто не учитывает, что будут ездить эти колеса по таким дорогам, где средняя скорость 30-40 км/ч. Просто посмотрите некоторые видосы и сразу дойдет, почему там даже балансировку никто не делает. Это у нас по подмосковью и прочим трассам топят 140 от камеры до камеры сбавляя перед "большим братом" двадцатку )) А там таких скоростей нет иначе бы такое кустарное производство не имело бы смысла.

  • Was very common with truck tyres, but only after carefully measuring the tyre. We had an electric grooving knife, and not all tyres were suitable for regrooving. Michelin actually has a manual for this procedure...

  • You do understand this is incredibly dangerous. Your not "restoring" anything, your weakening the rubber which I'm guessing the lucky owner will find out about as soon as they hit about 50mph and their tires all explode. EDIT: Guys I'm not picking on anyone or trying to belittle people dealing with poverty but this is criminal. I worked at America's tire co and have had LOTS of experience racing and rock crawling and have gone through hundreds of tires myself. There's isn't a single tire company that states removing tread BELOW the wear line is safe. You create weak points that pressure and heat will exploit. And these guys aren't selling these tires as used they're selling them as new tires! That's a dirty trick! If one of you can give me an example of ONE company that states this is ok for highway use and safe without voiding the warranty I'll give you a set of 35" toyos off my bronco!

    • Mr Obando this is not India. India has a strict ‘Child Labour Act’ you cannot see such young children working also there is a ‘Right To Education Act’ children this age are in school becoming literate. This is in Pakistan. No doubt tyre reconditioning/retreading is done in India but it is a Thermal-Pneumatic process and bad tyres ie requiring ‘Gater’ patches are rejected. As for speed we now have excellent highways where you can hit speeds upto a 100KMPH.

  • While the added threads is good for a little extra tire life, the thickness of the tire wall has decreased below what the engineers determined is the safe operating limit for the tire. What I don't quite agree with is, it seems as though the tire is repackaged and sold as new. This is not good for the consumer.

    • First: they aren't cutting into the wall, they are cutting the tread. Yes, it is making the tread thinner, which is dangerous. Second: that's Pakistan, they aren't "repackaging" the tires & selling them as new. The average income is $200 per month, those used tires is all they can afford, so they are regrooved & sold to the people in their own country.

    • I always order tires like these and ship them to my country. No problem at all. Saving lots of money this way. Its 2022 its good to re use tires again and again.

  • These are definitely not recap tires which are dangerous enough, but re-treaded old tires, not good. In county like their's where money is scarce, this becomes an option. Thanks for sharing this story. 👎🤒☹🇨🇱🇺🇸

  • Regardless of the skills and 'creativeness' in this technique, it is still a very dangerous act. Deepening old tread pattern, will ONLY WEAKEN the structure of the tire carcass.

  • Being an international traveler, and having seen how different various economies are I understand it. Look at things from a greater perspective. New tires are expensive and hard to come by in some of these places. If the shoe was on the other foot, you would be right there trying to get tires just to get by. Not every country or individual is wealthy or has access to the standards of living us westerners are use to.

  • 1:52 OMG, the steel belts is out of the rubber. You can see it in the middle cut. If the steel belts layer gets water, it is going to rust, the strings is going to tear, and the tyre explodes. :O

  • И так у них по закону можно много раз, только изнутри сырую резину подклеивать (лайфхак), утолщать рабочую стенку, колесо конечно будет уменьшаться в диаметре, зато хватит на несколько поколений, пока не сотрется до диска😆

  • This looks like a very tyre-ing job! I mean, I totally understand why these guys are doing this but fuck me, there is restored and then there is even more dangerous than when the tyre had its last rotation. If you have a beam of wood.. you can place 1 tonne max load, then it snaps.. it gets a bit old looking, you cut one 1/4 off top and bottom which equals one 1/2 .. this means it's only 50% of what you had doesn't mean it's restored.. it means it's only half as strong as it was. So, if these shiny (way below minimum depth) are then carved to (restoration) look like new. The integrity strength is about 80% gone. So will be the life of the person who drives their family around in the death trap vehicle.

    • Per federal regulations 49 CFR Section 569.3(c) which defines a “regroovable tire” as tires that are “designed, and constructed with sufficient material to permit renewal of the tread pattern.” Some commercial tires for Semi's, farm equipment, construction vehicles etc., are in fact regroovable, in fact these tires will say "regroovable" on the tire. It is illegal in the Uniterd Stated to regroove passenger car tires.

  • Didn't think you could do this with regular vehicle tires as they're already really thin walled to begin with. I know for the bigger trucks/tractors offroad machines some tires you actually can because they're made for it but no way id ever drive on these...
