Aw, I'm so glad to hear she's doing well!! God bless her. She's beautiful!! I had a black shepherd for 13 wonderful years. He was so talkative, and he'd wake me up early every single day, asking for attention and to go outside. I miss him so much!!! Once he passed away, I was able to sleep later because my other dogs don't do that. But I would wake up at 5 am every day for the rest of my life if I could have him back.❤
I really like how the dog is trying to talk very quietly rather than barking because she knows he just woke up.

Cute. Ours used to sleep next to my son. When it was bitter cold, he'd be under the blanket with him. I used to get up first and tiptoe so as not to wake them both up. Dogs are funny. ❤ Thanks for sharing.

I got a German Shepherd and she does the same exact thing. She’ll give me a couple of minutes doing exactly this, and then she gets up and sits right on me, lol.
My girl would lay on my face literally! But it was always because she had to go out

I had belgian sheppard, mom always wake me up at 6 am when radio beeped. Dog learned that and then every time radio beeped she woke me up, no mater of day or time. Jue bee. beep in ardio and she was over my bed jumping, 40kg dog. :D
My sister has 2 Siberian huskies who both wake her up at 6 in the morning every day to tell her that they’re hungry and need to go outside.

Lol my German shepherd Wakes me up everyday just after 6am. It starts with her banging her tail on the floor or the bed. If I don't respond the complaining starts soft at first but slowing gets louder into compete whinging, its time to go for our morning walk daddy she says in her doggie voice. You can't help but love her she is so beautiful.

While he was uploading this she pissed on the bed and, since she was relieved he said to himself,-"... oh well, now there's no point taking you out." Once he knew he would have to clean up the bed, anyway, he considered sagely for two dreadful seconds, -"would it make sense if I just turned around and fall asleep?" I recently adopted a Belgian malinois and have been taking him on an hour walk at 4:15 every morning before work. This Saturday he did this exact same thing to me at around 4:15 and I couldn’t say no lol
She just loves this guy so much. Such a sweet girl.
Our dog was such a blessing; he would let us sleep in peace and wouldn't move a paw himself until around 8.30 am. At some point I would start to move in bed and I could hear the tail begin to slap down on the floor vigorously, lol. But he was a sweetheart and a true gentle soul, he would never dream of forcing us out of bed by barking or jumping on us. Sometimes he would come to the side of the bed and start licking my hand. How I miss him still, even though he's been gone for nine years now...
My boy does the exact same thing as yours did, except mine boy is only 2.5 years old. Hopefully he's got a long life ahead of him still, dogs should last longer!

Same... my dog has been gone for about that long and I would give anything to be woken up by her cold wet nose on my face one more time. I miss her like crazy and I never understood the notion of people considering pets family until mine died. It hurts as much as losing a human

Well we get to pee when we wake up. Where do they pee? Outside. It's not cute to make a dog wait to pee and go "oh,how cute they're waking me up!'" They have physical needs and we've decided they get to pee outside only. Get up and let them out.

The loyalty speaks volumes with this one my son.
I would occasionally wake up in the night and get startled by the outline of what looked a lot like a wolf's head. Right in my face. Just my shepherd watching me as I slept.
The worst part is that you just can’t ignore them when they make those sounds
The worst part is that you HAVE to learn to ignore the noises early on; otherwise the pup learns they can pester you for what they want by whining, and you have to deal with it even more. Unless the sounds are cute and adorable, and you’re always able to cater to their needs
@@lucadollas Don’t worry, I give my dog plenty of attention. Usually the times he’s whining are the few times during the day when he’s put away by himself - since we almost always had him with us when he was younger, he’s not as used to being alone as he should be.
Could've needed to go outside, mine did that all the time when she needed to go outside, I tired ignoring it, but when I cave in she ran to the back and went right to pee. I never minded tbh, I have a hard time getting up, so her doing that meant I had a reason to get up, and be with her 💔
I'd be too worried my dog needed to go to the bathroom to ignore her haha. My late dog rarely pestered me before I was ready to get up so when she did, there was a reason.

Most of my comments are to make people laugh not to get into debates. I actually love cats, I'm fascinated by their courage and fearlessness, also their amazing quickness they can claw a threat 2 or 3 times before it knows what just happened. But I love dogs a little more because of their affection, love and loyalty.

Fun fact: the reason dogs try to get humans up, whether they wanna pee or not, is because humans sleep for longer periods than dogs do, and that concerns them, especially if they're young... So it would be extra concerning if you were sleeping in for say, 10 hours, way past your usual time. So literally: "Hey hooman, ye sleeping more than usual. I took liberty to come wake you because I'm concerned YOU'RE DYING"

For the last 13 years of my life I had a german shepherd, he was a beautiful dog that we managed to rescue, my dog was special, since he had three legs instead of four, however it never stopped him from running after balls, from trying to protect me and my siblings from any stranger he barked at. About four months ago, my angel were put down, since he got old and sick. For the last 13 years of my life you protected me, I hope the angels up there are protecting you too. Edit: Thanks for all of the lovely comments , It's been about half a year now, and it still feels a little weird. But I know he's in a better place. Ironic story but for a while now a one legged bird kept visiting us, it would be funny if it were to be my dog in his next life. Btw his name was Jerry :)

I lost my german shepherd in July, it happened out of nowhere. One day she woke up sick, we thought well it’s just a sickness. Next day, she didn’t eat or move at all. We took her to the vet, they told us she either had to have a surgery that will let her live for another 4 months while always being in pain or being put down. My mom never goes to the vet me and my siblings took her to the vet. This dog was GLUED to my mom. When she saw my mom in the vet she knew something was wrong, from not moving all day she tried her hardest to get up and go home, she surprisingly got herself up. we hung out with her and said our good byes. I balled my eyes out on her. I stay up very late, at like 3 AM i’d make myself a turkey sandwich and she’d give me those puppy eyes for a turkey slice ofc I’d give her a slice or two and she would just give me company at the middle of the night and then go back to my moms room once i was in bed. The best dog ever.

I lost my dog of four years i slept with every night and day and never went anywhere without him and my ex took him. And just like that I dont see him anymore. Broke my heart so bad. Worse than losing her. He's a baby in my pic here actually I just noticed I still have him as my picture 😭🥺
Why her barking was so gentle? The Shepherd really wanted to say: "Get up, I want to pee. Or, pee on your bed".
In the middle of the night this is 110%, they are quiet but insistent about going out, they understand that they are communicating with you so they concentrate very hard on doing it the right way. Early morning, I'm convinced that mine just wants to make sure I am okay when they wake up, because mine go back to sleep as soon as I greet them.

I knew a guy who had, from time to time, run-ins with the law. Well apparently one day he was seen climbing through the window of his own trailer and had the cops called on him. The police sent in a German Shepherd to flush him out but the dog just disappeared into the home. Apparently the dog had gone to the guy's bed where he had passed out and curled up next to him ROFL!

I have heard a similar story, where they sent a dog after someone, but the someone turned out to be more fluent in "dog" and officer doggo, wouldn't detain him (i used to dress up and play "Dog dummy" for K-9s in training to practice on, good fun, its why they get trained so much)

I miss my shepherd so much🥲 Bruno was the most loyal friend. Such a personality in the GSD makes it easy to know what they think. My guy was easy to train and surprised me all the time with what he figured out all by himself. Enjoy your friend!
