  • I live in Melbourne, Australia. I bought a Benelli TRK 502X new 18 months ago. I’ve done 117,000 km on this bike with little trouble. Yes, it’s heavy…but when you get caught in a crosswind, or buffeting caused by road trains you’re going to appreciate the stability of the bike. I do a yearly trip to far North Queensland, over 10,000km in 12 days, and the bike is awesome to ride. I get mine serviced every month at the dealership I bought it from and they just laugh when the check the km. It doesn’t have the “grin factor” that my Tiger Sport 660 has, but I can’t do 1000km + days on the Triumph either. Seat is really comfortable and butt only starts getting numb around 800km mark. Great bike for the money.

  • The CFMoto 300 NK is one of the few good quality bikes that get to Latin America for accessible prices. Most Japanese brands don't bother comercializing models with ABS, full LED lights, and good displays on the lower end, except in a few countries. Definitely what i'm aiming towards when i can afford it.

  • Benelli and QJ are both owned by Geely Holding Group. Geely also owns Volvo. I own a Geely car that was designed and engineered by Volvo engineers. The quality is just fantastic. There are some companies that are aware that Chinese products have a bad rap for being low quality. So they are making huge strides in quality by hiring engineers from reputable companies to improve their products. CFMoto has partnered with Japanese companies to make sure their products are of higher quality.

  • I am really happy for this video. Not all Chinese bikes are equal. Especially if they are build for a European brand that is responsible for the quality check as well. BMW, KTM, etc. I own a Benelli TRK 502X and I love it. A bit on the heavy side but it is also very stable. Has a great road presence that makes it safe. Car drivers actually see you. Also the dealership in Cyprus is amazing. I totally recommend it. I am not a new rider. I am 52 and I have a background of a lot of sport bikes (NSR 250R, ZXR400SP, ZZR600...) so I believe that my opinion has some value.

I would vote for Kove with extra credit as the brand is really investing heavily on innovation and manufacturing their own stuff, the new 450RR parts/engine is really fantastic

But it's actually a better version of the Honda cb 500 in every shape or form! A wasted opportunity, because Keeway succeed where Benelli didn't, cheap naked bikes. MBP is a more expensive Keeway, it's basically without purpose or meaning. If i choose Keeway, it's because of it's untouchable asked price to value ratio, not because it's supposed to be better than x or y.. Rkf 500 needs to be born, as a natural upgrade for those millions of squids, MBP is just another voge 500.

    • As an Italian I can confirm this. Benelli has become a "known" and commonly sold motorcycle. With now a lot dealers all over and they seem pretty reliable (not japan level...but good enough ) and good looking. I think in part the name/brand played an important part, in the sense that even if a Chinese producer did make good motorcycles, that wouldn't be enough without the italian name/brand behind it. If I were to say I have a Benelli in Italy it's like "ok", however if I were to say I have a "ching chung chang" (any chinese name) the reaction would be negative and "what is that?" regardless of how good the motorcyle actually is. So it has to do with both the quality, but believe it or not, even just the name/brand behind it.
