Battlefield 2042 developers have confirmed two new maps in Season 7, and actually pointed out where they're located. Could one be another classic from Bad Company 2?

I would like to see a Port Valdez remaster!
I like the idea of them supporting Portal with classic maps. Portal will be shipped along side the next BF, so to give it more content. It needs to be fleshed out more. For QOL. Throw in a light map editor that allows players to move conquest flags, rush boxes, etc would be great tho. And be able to edit/create all of the game modes like Shutdown or Control. Let the community engage more.
Atacama Desert was great. Good to see Dice bringing back some more nostalgia. Hope for more maps. Seine Crossing, Kharg Island, Alborz Mountains, Damavand Peaks, Grand Bazaar, Markaz Monolith, would be fire. And one or two BF2 maps, such as Strike at Karkand or Sharqi Peninsula, will fit great too.
While I do think it will be Atacama, there were also two Oasis maps. BF:BC1 had Oasis in the Middle East, while BC2 was in Chile. Idk, I think we'll see Atacama and Oasis(BC1) in the new season, if anyone has a pool going, :P. Although, I was really hoping for a Port Valdez redo, but don't think it'll make this iteration.
I personally would prefer the other map from BC 2 which is my favorite in the rush mode and it's Port Valdez but having Atacama desert is cool as well

I played the Beta when it came out and immediately fell in love with the game. I've been playing it solo ever since but I think my friend might be joining me soon which makes me really excited.
I hope this is a sign of more content to come in the future. S7 is great but even 2 extra maps doesnt come close to making up for the overall lack of content.

I still want a competitive mode like hazard zone, but one that isn't an extraction shooter. A modified version of Rush with competitive play elements would be slick.
I really do hope they take a lesson from 2042, how it launched and how the community react to each update. Battebit Remastered should also have an impact on how DICE designs future games. Battlefield games benefit from the sense of community, how people play together, squad up, host servers and clans. Building a good foundation for a large scale team-based shooter with good maps, class synergy, fun infantry vs vehicle gameplay, gritty theme of conflict, and plenty of tools for multiplayer sandbox should be the priority, rather than trying to put checkmarks on oversaturated trends like battle royale and battle passes.
What if the Middle-East map is not a new map but yet another rework? Remember the original 128 player Conquest map Hourglass, and more specifically the part we lost after the rework, the stadium? Many people within the community were disappointed to see this asset completely disappear. What if Dice would add another infantry only map that takes place in and around the stadium. It would be a cheap and easy way to bring "new" content ;-)

I didn't play 2042 till season 4 when most of it's major problems and bugs were fixed. I tried to avoid experiencing the game at it's early days and that made my experience mostly positive. Most of my playtime in 2042 was in season 5 and now in season 6. Reclaimed and Redacted with 64 players do actually play a lot better than 128 players maps. I don't think there is something new in Battlefield 2042 that I really like but I still think it provides that battlefield experience that no other game out there can offer. One thing I would say is the battle pass system in 2042 is actually nice as it allows me to enjoy the game and finish it before the season ends without the need to grind the game for a lot of hours to finish like what other games do with their battle passes.
I’ve always hang about with 2042, hopeful that it would get a turn around and I guess it did. I wasn’t around for long at launch but came back around season 3 or 4. I didn’t leave because I hated the game but more because I was overall busy

Is there where we're at in the industry? 2 Maps in an update is a massive win? I'd happily pay for map packs if we got a quality set of maps again.
We all know that the problem with that was, a fractured playerbase. As only the most committed players would buy the DLC(I would). But over time the playerbase for all the maps would be less and less

Meh doesn’t hold a candle to seige of Shanghai (bf4) or St Quientens scar where the little village would be destroyed by the end of the match (bf1) in terms of destruction
As much as I like playing this game, unless dice adds a Region select match making for all out warfare, I cannot play as in Persian gulf servers there are literally no more than 1 lobby. And even that lobby is often half full.

My impressions of the beta were it was fun and loads of potential for the full release. Too much time went by waiting for things to improve. I did not feel like my time and money invested in the game was worth $100. Seeing new content and updates have been nice. I want to game to continue to grow and be fun/worth while for new players. I have enjoyed the new maps, but there is something still missing. It felt like there was a real community of players during bf3/bf4 days. Now it feels like 'live service' has ruined most of my expectations from DICE/RippleEffect. I'm still waiting for an immersive grittier experience in battlefield that's still fun.
The second map might have something to do with BF4.
No way!! Atacama desert is one of my favorite maps ever! P.S I like the gunplay/gameplay, the vault weapons and the missions to unlock weapons, since that sort of reminds me of BF1. Also some of the maps are really fun. I also like to play BF Portal BC2 maps and soldiers. Brings me back to the glory days a little bit. P.S.2 Personally I hope the next Battlefield game is Vietnam
why not a Mexico map, as it wasn't affected by global events (BF2042 Lore)- inspired by grand bazaar.

I hated this game at launch, having a pretty good time now. Sad to see the franchise sort of hard reset, but w talent like Zampella and others I am hopeful for the future. On a business side, want to see some big Battlefield moves by EA. After MW3, it is primetime for Battlefield to grab everybody's attention next year. Looking forward to the video, cheers!🍻

Time to announce season 8 already
Worst game gets longest support. Coming in and out, i hate that the game has specialists or "classes" with different abileties. I always only play Falck and that..rocket girl cause i simply have no interest nor time to learning the pattern and way to play all other specialists. I got 1h maby 2h a week and i sure as shit aint puting it into learning new classes abileties. And the fact that they are all twins makes me angry, honestly really angry. Falck killing Falck and geting revived by Falck.
You know I have been playing this game since Beta LOL I was just shocked to see a possible season 7 honestly. I thought season 6 was it and we wait for new Battlefield. Maybe they do want 2042 to succeed after a rough launch. I just wish they fixed the AI issue in Breakthrough where they fill the Lobbies faster than players. Just no more AI's unless its like Coop mode. DICE if you are reading this, no more BR's please!! lol
If only bf2 and BFV had this same amount of support

I hated crossplay as pc cheating was rife and a lot of people were getting fed up. I turned crossplay off and found some old polish BF4 clans are setting up servers and they are always populated and really good fun. Anti cheat really needs to be a priority in the franchise if they keep crossplay
Tbh battlefield 2042 just felt like it was less polished and didn’t have as much love and care put into it. I know this is because the studio was rushed, but that doesn’t make it a better game. Compare this to battlefield 1, which came out in 2016, which still has a pretty consistent player base cause the game was already finished when dice launched it. On top of that, the huge amount of weapons and different mechanics make it genuinely feel like a you’re in the war. And don’t even get me started on the sound and level design. The level of immersion you get from the sounds of people dying while running with a bayonet charge towards a guy in the middle of a ruined village is truly special. AND I GOT THE GAME FOR 4$ WHEN IT WAS ON SALE. So the question isn’t about why someone wouldn’t play battlefield 2042, but rather why would they when there’s tons of better version out there for a lower price

That's god, i'm playing BF2042 on a daily basis since release and i will continue playing it until the end, i hope from all of my heart that those 2 maps sits in urban locations which will give more hype to this game . Great content as usual, keep it up and i wish you all the best.
BFV is still superior to me. It looks better, plays better, and has much better vehicle gameplay. I play this on occasion with my friends, but I honestly don't enjoy it a lot.

I'll echo the thought that the team at DICE keeps trying with new content but the game, to me, is fundamentally flawed. The flaw? Mediocrity. It's so "meh". It's not really fun. BFV, after some work, became fun. BF1, 3 and 4- fun from the jump. This game bores me.
Why do they keep wasting time in this game?
Walked away from the Battlefield since they turned into call of duty, I know I talk like a grumpy old man but. they got rid of the classes, melee kills in third person view, no scoreboard, foes and teammates looking the same in the same clothes. Im sorry I didnt liked it and walked away in silence with my loving memories from BF4 and BF1

Correction: YOU need to move on. You’re not a fan of 2042. Fair enough to ya. Enjoy other games. I do agree they need to put more emphasis on destruction, but i and many other people are enjoying 2042
They definitely underperformed in the destruction aspect…but 2042 is still one of the only FPS games with ANY amount of destruction. Aside from The Finals, it has the most destruction in a modern FPS. 2042 is also still the only shooter that offers this level of sandbox play and all out war and isn’t perfect, but it sure as hell is a lot of fun now. I hope they continue to support it until the next game comes out. They owe it to us.
@@saintjimmy_ajh This is a Battlefield game, I am I Fan of Battlefield, you're telling me to "Move on" From a franchise I have been playing for decades because dipshits at DICE wanted to create a BR or a Operator Tactical shooter like Rainbow Six then gave up, only to roll those assets into a 60$ game, taking old maps from previous games as a marketing strategy to get old Battlefield vets to get excited. They used deceptive Marketing strategies like saying 2042 was a "Love letter to battlefield Veterans" Despite there being zero destruction, The absolute basic concept of a battlefield game is destruction. They also before and during the Beta never said if Destruction wasn't going to be in the game, but used trailers where literal buildings and signs would fall apart and fall to the ground. You saying "Correction: YOU need to move on" Just proves people will buy and defend anything, like sheep. You said nothing constructive, just basically insulted me for what reason exactly? It's disgusting to defend this game, they can't even compete with any game in the market because it takes literal months to finish a small map they've been working on and off on for a year+. They also have Pay to win, with actual vehicle skins that hide your character, and like COD they also sell skins that hide your character better. Also, the Battle pass system introduced more Pay to Win in the BF franchise, when the seasons release you have the option to pay an absurd amount of money to get every new Forearm, gadget, grenade, and Vehicle released in the new season before anyone else can. It takes about 10 hours to unlock everything in the new seasons if not more every season. Or you can just give them a shit load of money (For what you get, reused assets, same skins with different color patterns etc) and unlock it all before anyone else. You're supporting horrible business practices and a shit Battlefield, run down even LOOKS worse and runs worse than previous titles. The most destruction it has, is an antenna falling. (Not a giant sign like advertised btw in the trailer)

The ground having bumps in it is not "Destruction" if so, almost every FPS has "Destruction". A small Antenna falling in one place is not "destruction" . Sure, if you want the Next BF game to have Pay to Win, Operator Rainbow Six style classes, and no Destruction keep supporting this game. It looks and plays worse than both the Previous BF titles. What "Sandbox"? All the guns are laser beams, the Vector is so OP I can out snip snipers across the map with almost no damage drop off and ZERO RECOIL AT ALL. The only thing it has is vehicles and they made them not fun to use just spammy, for some reason took of Hover crafts ability to climb lol, no one uses it anymore nor the bolter just heavy tank that's it, because all the others are not worth it at all. They also have AI that are so dumb it makes me quit when facing them, feels like Duck Hunt from PS1.
