Hi all, an interesting one today which gives you an insight into the many questions that run through my mind when I’m deciding what method to use when approaching different types of damage. Hope you enjoy!
Do you do courses id love to learn how to do this as a job always wanted to bw my own boss
@@brettbrown1762 Hi Brett, Unfortunately I don't run any courses.
@@1st_track_dents awesome videos though, your explanations are so clear and accent is easy to understand
@@joshuang1128 Thanks Joshua, really appreciate your feedback 👍
You are so generous with your knowledge, and your editing skills are great! Keep it up!! :)
Thank you, I have quite a few videos coming your way:-)
@@1st_track_dents more content , atleast one video per week. constant video is manta of success on the youtube.
@@HardikPatel-re9wz Yes I agree, but doing the day job and having a family doesn't give me the hours I need to put out these videos. 👍
I love these vlogs, by far the best channel to help you learn the PDR process properly. Thanks for sharing your depth of knowledge to all us newbies!
Excellent video, very well organized showing differences between technics approaching, and breaking it down with very details. Cheers from Brazil.
Always enjoy your Chanel...........I think your the best on KZhead Thanks again
You are like a magician! You make dents disappear. Amazing really.
Outstanding as usual. Master you are. Best I've seen.
What can I say mate it never gets old as usual great work , looking forward to seeing the next one 👍
I like your films. Im totally obsessed with this PDR content.
What can I tell ya? You answered the very question I had. It's worth the time to pull away the trimming, accessing the problem area, and pushing it out. Huge high five to ya. Thanks again!
great job ,lovely precision.PROFESSIONAL
I don't know whether to call this magic or artistry, but it impresses the heck out of me!
Had to watch this one again, this was an outstanding video.
Very much appreciate your content, the way you brake everything down is very helpful thank you
English quality ! Thanks for the detailed description ! Your videos are always motivating.
Thank you!
Without a doubt one of the most intelligent, informative and well laid out and illustrated series on the net on this topic, sir you are outstanding! May I ask for you in future casts to distinguish the pros/cons between cold and hot glue?
You rock 1st Track, thanks tons for sharing!
Thank you for your hard, fantastic work. And generous knowledge
Good afternoon Jake, beautiful work as usual. Looks flawless. You take care and stay healthy. Good luck.
Thanks Steve, hope you're well 😎
He makes it look easy , as a collision tech who’s tried learning this skill. It’s far from as quick an easy as he makes it appear.
As always outstanding skills!
Much respect... you are very talented man. I could employ you full time with the places my wife chooses to park.
😂🤣😂
Hi Jake, superb as always!
Thanks Martin, getting back into the swing of things again!
I love your skill man, its awesome. Keep it on...
Absolutely amazing!
Really Love your Presentation style. Wish there were more like yourself in The States. You remind me quite a lot, of my Tinter. He’s a 3M Master Tinter, and there is simply no substitute for Finesse ! Thanks

Amazing editing 👍👍👍
Thanks Zan, as you know yourself when you're making your great videos it takes a lot of time to do, but it can be very enjoyable! 😎
Another lovely, clean job fella...! Hoping to embark on a new career in PDR myself, when I retire from the fire service! Excellent explanation of your train of thought with regards to the methods you chose to use.
Thanks, good luck on your PDR journey!
@@1st_track_dents ha! Thanks, but its not begun yet!👍😂
i always had to go for the quickest option as trade in the southwest was constricted where they dont want to pay the money, yet they expected miracles alot of the time. other parts of the world charge bodyshop prices for the same paintless repair yet saving time and there car dont get respray issues very good channel i done it for 22 yrs
Thanks! Yes I know, trade never want to pay the money, that's why I only do retail now, wasted too many years rushing around doing trade work smashing my body to bits for pennies. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Amazing work
I've got dents on my roof where a roof rack was used is it possible to get them removed and how would you suggest it was done cheers great video again buddy Rob
Very nice work
Amazing job!!! With all important information!! 👌👌😊😊👍👍💪💪🙏🙏
Thank You 👍
Great fun to watch
Thank you Jake for the video AND the pictures from underneath.
Yes, I made a bit more effort on this one to show you what was going on on the underside, this was some of the best access I have had for a while, really makes the dent easier to manipulate, all the best 👍
Nice to have you back. I watched a PDR guy trying to repair a dent in a similar position that some one else had tried to fix. It wasn't going well. I suggested they put a GB sticker over it. They thought it wouldn't be a bad idea. You can have that tip for free. Love the content and great video production.
Thanks Glenn, yes I remember those GB stickers on cars, it must stand for 'Great Bodge!" 😂🤣😂
Very good job. Super master 👍🏻
Great job!
Nice job! Looked good, I prefer to push also instead of glue if you can access it. U made it look easy!
Thanks Aaron, yes I always feel more comfortable with pushing as it gives you more control and there is less risk of damaging the paint, although there are some amazing sticky glues on the market, but I don't think any of them would have been strong enough to touch this dent 👍
Cracking work. 👏
Thanks! Great vid and know-how. Results speak for themselves. (Can’t imagine who would thumbs-down this).
Thanks for watching Tony!
You're back at work! 🙂
Good job mate
Great job and great video. How much does a repair like that generally cost?
Great Video very informative ,one question where to get the big umbrella i have one but its only +- 1.5 m wide and your one is a nice span to protect against sun and rain, Keep up the good work and the videos

Thanks Valle Diaz, I hope the job gives you as much satisfaction as i get from it, I am sure your work is top quality 👍
Indeed my work is of high quality. I have been working at Volkswagen for 15 years. Unfortunately I was alwayls afraid to start my own workshop. For fear of failure.when I watch your videos, your tools and your talent, I really enjoy it. I send you hug! From a distance.
Hello! You make great videos, I am going to try it out myself :) How much time is needed for some repairs? Cheers!
Great job buddy
Thanks 👍
Excellent repair . Where did you got the doble bend tool

I would be interested in the tools brand and type you use. Great vids keep up the good work
Both are best when you are there👌
Thank You!
love watching you make these dents disappear , but always wonder .... how much does it cost for your time and expertise , any chance of now and again letting us know what it costs ? cheers , jim
How long and how much heat should be applied to the affected area with the gun?
Hello! I would like to know where you bought your dent bars and tips from (for example a site where I can find them as I live abroad). Thank you!
wow. impressive. I've been glue pulling one for a few sessions and got about 80% of it out on my Subaru. Same kind of injury. I am thinging of your method here.
Thanks, yes glue pulling is great but sometimes you can waste hours when a 10 minute push from behind will do the job 👍
@@1st_track_dents I'm gonna look for access. thanks for your response.
Nice work ! As always. I have 2 small acorn dings on my hood, 3 small acorn dings on my roof, and 1 door ding on each door from neighbors. I've watched a lot of PDR videos especially from your channel and it makes me want to buy myself a kit to give it a try. My car is a Subaru Forester 2017 and am very hesitant to do it. Too bad all the dings are from nature and knuckleheads.
Thanks, Subaru panels can be a bit of a challenge, so be very careful!
You're Amazing! Where can I find your method in Italy?
what´s the temperature you are using to heat up the paint? thx
Done a cracking job on that
Thanks Richard!
So are plastic tipped tools the standard today? I've been watching PDR stuff for years and people always used just rounded metal tools to push out dents before.
Wow amazing
I thought you'd go with the push over the glue Jake, excellent result as ever mate.
Thanks, yes I much prefer the control of a push 👍
‘microlow’ heh. love the terminology
Awesome! Does this gentleman have any videos where he ONLY glue pulls on a light like this? I'm not very trim removal savvy :\.
You are just awesome. Thanks a lot
Where did you get your training and were are the courses and how much did it costed.
You are a great teacher. Thank you very much. If your videos had a Spanish translation you would surely have millions of fingers up. (like)
im american but this guy is so good guys!
Thanks a lot for your great Video!👍👍👍🇩🇪
Thanks for watching 👍
Πάρα πολύ καλή δουλειά μπράβο μάστορα τα θερμά μου συγχαρητήρια Χαίρομαι να κοιτάω τα βίντεο σου
Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ που παρακολουθήσατε!
Old school me to. Well done. 16 year tech Australia.
Thanks Gil, yes sometimes it's just quicker to stick a bar behind as glue puling can be a messy affair at the best of times! Great to hear from a tech on the other side of the world, I hope you're busy 😎
How long you repaired this?
Thanks from algeria
Mano parabéns o trabalho ficou exelente
Obrigado!
Thank you
Only 4 minutes in, but I think you definitely made the right choice. I’d definitely want to access the dent even if I started with a little glue pull first. A couple of aggressive or misplaced taps on the crown or around the body line and it won’t be as clean without a sharp tip picking at them. Basically to glue pull that dent and finish it, it would take too much time being so careful with every tap. Might as well at least find a way to slide something to it.
Totally agree, It was quite tight to push up so glue pulling would have really struggled. Glue can be great, but yes it can take so long to do. I've spent an hour before trying to pull a dent with glue making slow progress, only then to find out that I did have access behind after all, then I push it up in about 5 minutes!
Great work Jake. You are a master. Quick question - are there any official or unofficial sources/databases to find out how the internal access might look for each model - or are you just reliant on personal experience and/or just stripping the panel trims and seeing what you find?
Just personal experience really, most manufacturers use the same systems on most of their models, so you can kind of guess how newer models come apart:-)
You didn’t fool any of your regular viewers … we knew you would push.
awesome!
sharp cross bodyline first choice as you.you are win.glue pull get risk sometime.
