  • Compact stroke, stable core, great balance. This material is for high intermediate and advanced players. Beginners will not get some implied basics. On stage 4, I rely on feeling the weight of the racquet, we need to combine uncoiling force with natural feel of racquet dropped by gravity. Also achieving maximum stretch in the forearm is important, that requires good conditioning and relaxation. At this moment, I can only get everything perfect few times during my practice, but working to replicate it more reliably.

  • You forgot about one thing which is the most important and also in backhand. In step 3 the main thing and in general is to watch the ball through the shoulder. To have our chin right on the shoulder. This is essencial. And I haven't heard that on KZhead yet. The most crucial, the most stabilizing element.

  • Rather a next gen forehand no? I'm having doubts in how much you should try to hit it this way if you're not playing a LOT and therefore are more susceptible to problems with consistency. The modern forehand is more forgiving on multiple I feel. I myself switched to a less steep grip with a more horizontal swing plane, among other aspects shown here and it did wonders for my game. For example the coiling uncoiling might introduce a point of more potential power but you're really pushing yourself to mechanically doing a lot of things very precise as opposed to keeping your shoulders in line. Combined with something like the whipping of the next gen forehand instead constricting the hitting zone you might drive yourself crazy. Good stuff all the same and wondering if other people here have a similar approach or don't think the issues I've raised are all that important for even more 'casual' players who still want to play competitive and proper tennis

  • i have a problem where my left arm will (ever so briefly) block my view of the ball right before I strike it. It's only a fraction of a second, but it disrupts my concentration. Does this happen to you? Or am I striking the ball too late?

  • Hey Milan...Excellent content. Quick question...When you uncoil and begin to move forward into the ball, do you initiate the forward movement from the back hip or the hitting arm? Also, contact point...Where is the ideal contact point on the forehand? How far in front of the body and how far away from the body? Thanks for you expertise. It's much appreciated.
