Beautiful car. Mercedes is really untouchable in this segment. The S Class defined the segment and continues to do so. One day I will own an S Class!!

I was torn between this and the Jaguar Xj. But the Jag lost because its too long and feels cramped in the back, also the headroom is very minimal. I got the S class. Best decision i ever made

I Owen here in london E class as well as GLS US import which I love driving it. GLS is one of the top luxury SUV in the market how ever all cars in one side and S class in the other s class has one of the quietest Diesel engine and specs and design no comment on that surely Mercedes should be rewarded for the best design car compare to BMW 7 serious or Audi A8

Peter Ambrose And who expect Tesla vehicles to be as luxurious those by Mercedes Benz, Audi, and BMW, etc., at this point in time? Tesla is still a very young car company. And, not only is that the case, but this is a young company that have taken upon itself the challenge of developing a vehicle technology (all-electric) that is uncoventional and rare in the automotive industry. And, to do so would obviously require for the company to focus greatly upon the DRIVING DYNAMICS (DRIVETRAIN) and RANGE (BATTERY), since all-electric vehicle technology is still being developed and will take some time to get to the level of ICE. Even to this day, Tesla is still focusing on ways to improve battery technology for better range, performance, etc. There's still not much room for the company to focus on CREATURE COMFORT, at this stage. I, mean, it's not like Tesla has been in the car manufacturing business for a very, very long time and have easy access to all what it needs, much like Mercedes Benz and other older car manufacturers would. Even a younger car company would have an advantage over Tesla when it comes to producing more luxurious vehicles, if it is dealing with ICE technology. Why? Because that form of vehicle technology have already been developed. And, so, pretty much everything that this company would need to produce ICE vehicles is readily available. Stop making it sound like Tesla has every reason to build cars that are as luxurious (and as good) as those produced by older ICE car manufacturers. That is not the case!

Peter Ambrose Well, everyone knows that this is far from the truth. I don't think those folks truly believe that to be the case. Personally, I believe people sometimes post comments just to get a reaction from others. So, I just ignore them. But, I respect and appreciate what Tesla is doing. The company certainly deserves credit for developing the all-electric vehicle technology. Now, not that other car companies couldn't have done it. But since Tesla has already paved the way and a established a platform or foundation for that form of vehicle technology, other companies may find it convenient to just build upon it.
Tyran Mathurin I've sat inside a tesla and while it is not as luxurious as the German cars, I freaking loved it and when the time comes I will buy one to use together with my gas powered vehicle

I found this exact car 2017 s350d at $62423 is it over priced? It is still on 37000kms. Just want to get advise before if this is a good buy?

@SidewaysSid No doubt a brilliant insight/upload into a vehicle that certainly has given the likes of #Bentley, #Audi, #Maserati, #AstonMartin, #Jaguar, #BMW, #LandRover and #RollsRoyce et cetera cause for concern. The S600 variant is something else - the car (without added options) is HALF the amount of the LWB RR Phantom : take a moment and think about it!.

How is the parking app useful? When would you use it?

According to me,MB is on level with Bentley and RR in terms of luxury but cannot be compared to Audi in terms of driver assistance systems

I can't help but smile when i see this beauty. True love at first sight. Only thing i would change is the steering wheel, to a wooden polished one.
The S350d in the video is absolutely STUNNING. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. That design is just so beautiful - nothing is over- or underdone. It’s all perfectly balanced, harmonious and pleasing to the eye. What a gorgeous car. The S-Class rivals are also great cars, inside and out. In this class it really comes down to personal preference. Brand loyalty more often than not is a big purchasing factor here. An S-Class buyer for example may most likely buy them for life and won’t give the competition a glance. I saw the new A8 at a gas station maybe two months ago (I live in Munich). It’s an equally beautiful car and its interior is breathtakingly stunning.

it/s not a human hand. It's the flat bottom of the steering wheel which is aluminium so it looks like it's a hand. Trust me the system works, i have a similar one.

I drove both bentley and s class, and i can confirm that bentey (and maybe rollsroyce) have nothing to do being more luxurious. The only thing that is more "luxurious" is the brand name and logo.
With the rolls and the bentley it's more the image itself. Whereas with the S class it is pure luxury but for common people :)

Previous Benz s63 still better though...in terms of strength.. this one is too soft and weak build wise...check crash test ncap on both. This one is only packed with features that's all.
