They have specialists, and its tencent. This is a hard pass for me.
Well said
thx for saving my time
Sorry for the dumb question, but what is tencent?
@@222tg_tencent is a giant chinese tech conglomerate. They're buying studios (for example Grinding Gear Games who make Path of Exile) and games like crazy and trying to set foot in the west for quite a while now. They got big in Shenzhen so it's not far fetched that they profit from the "typical Chinese exploitation" of workers also they're the owner of WeChat - THE Chinese platform to connect with others, pay stuff, get an uber, order food and so on. So it's pretty obvious they work closely with the Chinese government to monitor their citizens. So they're AT LEAST highly controversial and avoiding their stuff is not a bad recommendation.
@@222tg_ tencent is the same company that published codm and formerly pubgm
I didn’t know it was free to play. That makes me think we will have 3 months, max, before the unicorn skins, laser guns and terminators running around and killing the militaristic atmosphere
I have seen weapons with paintjobs and waifu sticker in the Ukraine-Russia war so it's not that unrealistic anymore with whacky skins.
@@charleynilsson5543you haven't, it was a pic from a airsoft video. There's this company making them. Let me guess, blue and pink ak with stickers right? Yeah. (it moans when you shoot lol)

Battlefield is the current battlefield killer with how bad they've been lately
When the teaser trailer had the recon arrow and that power up someone activates things looked iffy, then that full trailer basically showed that it's got absolutely nothing to do with the Delta Force games that older gamers miss. It's going to be terrible.
Yeah. BattleBit has done well because (despite the artstyle and odd blocky characters) the devs understand what a Battlefield experience/etc is supposed to be, and heck, looking past the characters it often actually looks quite good (lighting, etc). This thing on the other hand feels as if someone thought making a knockoff 2042 was a good idea. Like, the whole first half of the trailer looked solid, maybe a bit dated graphically but otherwise had what seemed like a solid theme, art direction, etc. And then we got "recon arrows" and "powering up", alongside named hero characters, a future setting, and the same obnoxious overly-busy, teal-highlights "future HUD" style. It's depressing how much of a swing-and-a-miss this seems to be. :(
Its a hero shooter trying to emulate the scale of Battlefield, there's nothing about Battlefield here. Battlebit is the actual Battlefield killer but unfortunately the scope of the graphics and content don't make it as appealing and will never be a mainstream title. We are in an era of gaming where most of the profits in multiplayer games come from microtransactions and the hero shooter design with set characters with "personality" is a great way to make players attached to them and in turn purchase cosmetics, this won't change until they figure out a better way to monetize, and this is really frustrating for us that enjoy a more sober design in military shooter games.
Well said
I agree, but BBR take is a complete lie. It's not an actual Battlefield killer and will never be. "Scope of the graphics and content"? Didn't BBR fans said "the game has more content than 2042 and graphics don't matter"? They did, multiple times. And they were right, but that didn't make their game good. BBR is a uninspiring and boring shooter with no clear direction and shitty progression. The game doesn't have a core foundations figured out yet there are more than 20 ARs in its 100 levels of grinding progression system. And at the same time it is trying to provide multiple different gamemodes with various play sizes while having 4 primary weapons for Supports, which are also locked behind multiple levels. It will never be a mainstream title, because even it's own fanbase doesn't know what the game is supposed to be
then it aint a bf killer dork
Personally, I'm FAR more inclined to purchase cosmetics when I can actually make my own characters (read: Battlefield V, where you choose sex/ethnicity, but they otherwise have no established "personality"/etc), as opposed to having to deal with finding whatever pre-made characters are the least obnoxious.
@@BleedingUranium i loved BFV’s customization so much 🥺
Easy answer....No. it's just the name Delta Ops. It's just a generic modern Shooter with sci-fi elements. The original game was much MUCH more grounded in reality.
Battlebit is already a true BF killer
PS5 when?
@@TRU_Lunchy😂😂😂
It s already dead with less players then 2042
More like some good, let's give credit where credit is due, quality copium
not even on consoles
7:27 is spot on - BF needs to get back to being the trend-setter. They have the ingredients, they just need to execute. Sound creative direction is critical (amongst other things).
first world war 3 was the battlefield killer: status failed battlebit was the battlefield killer: status succeeded the first couple months and now slowly dropping off now delta force: status giving me world war 3 flashbacks
Pretty much. Nothing will kill off Battlefield because nothing else can do it better. Regardless of what an overly-vocal portion of the fanbase may try to convince people of, BF sets the bar for large-scale warfare gameplay and they've been doing it for 20+ years at this point. There are other games that have large battles like Squad and Hell Let Loose, but those are more mil-sim than anything and don't offer the same run and gun experience at that scale.
WWIII didn't launch on consoles
saw this but the hero stuff isnt for me
The last part on Battlefield and chasing trends…Very well said Flakfire. 👍🏻
At this point everything is a battlefield killer
Can't wait to run Luna on a Bunny Suit since we know it's Tencent who made the game.
It seems they dont learn to much from BF failures. This kind of games dont work as heroe shooters, but as a F2P game its worth the download.
Heroes makes it a no-go
The next Battlefield Killer: Battlefield itself 😏
Love hearing your excitement! I'm excited too, looking forward to more news!
In an hilarious blend of the ironic and unironic, the ultimate "Battlefield Killer" was "Battlefield".
I think it is a massive mistake releasing this under the Delta Force brand. For people who don't know it, it is a meaningless name. People who know it will expect an hard core military shooter in wich people drop in 1-3 hits. Also, off all the Battlefield games, they clone the one most people hate. I think this will be Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper all over again. Don't stick a brand name on a product that is the opposite of what that brand represents. You would think marketing people had learned that by now.
It’s unbelievable isn’t it? As if they take all the wrong lessons and double down on everything bad about the games
Battlefield doesn't need killing EA and Dice has seen to that
Def will be trying this game
need the map creator that other novalogic delta force games had....this will set this apart from everyone
If Battlefield brings back 1 and V its fine.
If a Battlefield player didn't care for 2042, they will certainly skip out on this as well. It's not all that far off of what 2042 is doing if not perhaps with a bit more of an arcade feel to it, however being a F2P game developed by Tencent means that the microtransactions are probably going to be oppressive. I don't think this game has legs for more than a few months (similar to Gundam Evolution), so for me this is just a blip on the gaming radar and nothing more.
The only Battlefield killer I'm worried about is the next Battlefield.
Honestly if they just remastered battlefield bad company 2 I would play that multiplayer for the rest of my life
But does it have the same destructible environments?
Power ups?! Battlefield killer? DICE please...
So you're telling me I can play BF2042 but free? COUNT ME OUT!
Bruh. Almost every AAA game has to be a hero-shooter these days. 1:59 It was like this with bf2042 during the beta and look how in turned out. How about they make 4 faceless soldiers(assault, engineer, support, recon) and give them the gadgets belonging to these "specialists".
Whats with all the damn characters or "heroes" I just want to be a normal infantryman with no character, just another number in the statistics of dead like real life
My biggest question is why 4 classes with 1 operator? What is the point? I really hope this is a more 'hardcore' BF style experience ala BF2/Joint Operations/Delta Force at old at its heart (dev diary hints no regen which TBVH has always menat the large scale aspect of the game gets shoved aside for run and gun CoD-like combat). But the operators in this with 1 per class seems baffling, why?
I would do just about anything for Battlefield 2 Remastered
a game of chess would kill BF atm
WWW3 thought all of this too. It looks kind of janky to me , but here's hoping!
One can hope.
this is just dollar store 2042 LMAO. It has specialists and “Hazard Operations” bruh
Its got specialists so im not interested at all, nor do i consider it a battlefield competitor. I wont play a "battlefield" game with specialists, its just not the same.
I am a veteran from the OG delta force and do believe this will be the next top game if they do it right.... The old 14 yr old game had the right mood set for some fun punches back in the day and if they include them in this omfg it will be badass!!!!!
The moment I saw the "Operators" screen, that was enough for me to lose any interest I may have had. I'm so incredibly tired of playing so-called "military" shooters that feel like they're pandering to children.
I was excited at first but from What I’ve heard from levelcap, this game is made by Tencent and gonna be free to play…so That’s looks like red flags to me
Being from tencent is the only red flag I need
@@brucelsprout indeed brother
I wish it well, but no... everyone playing one of four characters is somehow a worse idea than 2042.
At this point, how Battlefield 2042 was and is.. any first person shooter can easily compete with Battlefield. But to really beat it, they need to include the combined arms and destruction that Battlefield as a franchise HAD.
Seems a bit ambitious to call it the "Battlefield killer" but as long as the devs learned from EA's mistakes, definitely. I already have pretty good expectations about this game because they're offering to let us pre register for this game for free.
I was interested until you brought up the hero shooter.
Dice don't need competitors killing off BF, been doing that themselves for years now
Nah, I don't believe a game with operators can kill BF. If DICE throws a remake from BC2/BF3/BF4, there is no way Battlebit or any other game stands a chance.
STOP WITH THE FUCKIN REMASTER/REMAKE IDEAS GAW DAMMIT
Getting a new Delta Force is enough to hype me up😂 i usually go back and play Task Force Dagger and so on. I wish ARMA had more Spec Ops missions too.
will be full of hcker day 2 tho good game loks good :D
Tencent.. Well crap, i'm out. Other then that, good vid Flakfire.
Its a Tencent FTP game, Kyle Freeman not involved, Microtransactions incoming!
Not sure if anyone feels the same but I’m tired of the hero ops in games. BF4 was what fueled my childhood gaming experience. Custom skins, banners, modify any weapon how you want. Imagine that coming back to an all out war zone. Imagine Six Days in Fallujah, Ready or not, and battlefield 4 had a baby. Tactical All-out warfare
Battlefield should become more destructive again. Like helipads on mountains being able to collapse but with with work and firepower. That is if they're so worried about maps being fully destructible. Just a small example there but what about a nuclear reactor map. N being forced to fight under gas masks and sirens wailing. Give us more ambiance of war. Next gen can provide it. Just the sounds can really change the game. Battle on a full bridge map with the sound of wires snapping. I mean these creators must be seriously stupid. It wouldn't take much to take battlefield to the next level especially with next gen capability.
Let's Go delta forceee!!! I can't wait to get this masterpiece ❤😊 no more call of kaka anymore 🤣
Phantom forces was the true Battlefield killer
So they cloned 2042, the worst Battlefield ever and the most hated, and thought it was a good idea
Wouldn't count on it, this company never made a triple a title before, doubt they will succeed now
Well im not getting my hopes up but as they always say don't knock it before you try it
I played the original game back in the day and had a blast doing so. From the look of what has been shown so far i am most certainly in. Will see when the alpha/beta comes
Dice is the only BF killer..
I want nothing to do with it because it's involced with tencent. I'll just go back to Battlebit
True.. .second I heard the Devs talking I was like wait wtf o HELL NO
BattleBit is a Battlefield killer. It's $15, it's great gameplay for the $$$. ROI is immense. After what Dice/EA did to me and my $99 Pre-Order for BF V, made me not pre-order BF 2042. I still don't have it, nor at this point, do I feel complelled to purchase BF 2042. But, for $15 ... BattleBit ... why not try it ...
yah but its not on console sadly..
Battlebit is Minecraft 2.0 for kiddos
@@prezzbelikeme Tell LevelCap and others who appreciate game play over graphics. TF2 still has a huge playerbase, and it's not due to graphics.
The only thing that killed Battlefield is Battlefield it'self. People hoping for a amazing Battlefield as of old are the same as people hoping Blizzard will make a good game like they did back in the Blizz North days.
Bf killed itself sadly
sEAppuku
Again a hero shooter😢
delta force 2042
i just wish for a real bf killer, or a good bf, there is literally no other game like bf on console and we are stuck with 2042 or older bf games... it sucks...
IMMEDIATELY lost me when I heard "hero characters" :^[ P.U.
Battlefield is the only battlefield killer
This has specialists in it as well. a hard pass for me. I like just basic class system locked gear and weapons to those classes. I do not like these abilities as I feel it draws player to play a certain one more then the others due to the abilities. Take paik in 2042 when her wall hack was not nerfed everyone has her. Most of the snipers are Mackay so they can get into places and camp where others can't unless they have the grapple hook. On top of grapple to moving vehicle when is the dumbest thing ever as it makes vehicle a 100 percent death for the vehicle there no way to stop it other than a team member saving you. Then you got Sundance for the noobs who spam the grenades non stop. I can't tell u how many times on exposure there were 5 Sundance all throwing them at once it made tight area nightmare to get thru. I won't be playing any fps that have abilities that can give advantage over other classes one way or another. I'll go back to hell let loose as it's realistic no advantage and its a blast when you get involved and you the comms
Better not get copyrighted-this is a cool-looking game
Looks like Chinese game making trash dumpster fire. O wait it is because it's TENCENT
Tencent FPS, thats a hell no for me. Probably gonna be broken like World War 3 original release back in 2017.
Wanted gritty reality but it just looks like its just full of a bunch of unrealistic gadget garbage.
The second i hear Tencent im instantly turned off from playing the game.
I don't have much hope. BUT: It would be enough to kick EA and DICE in the balls to wake up and do something with Battlefield, that is not complete garbage... maybe. Just maybe...
Also if it's PC only it's not killing anything.
It's on PC,console&mobile
It is on all platforms but something like Battle Bit yeah I don't call it a BF killer because 1.) it is more of a mil-sim. 2.) If only one platform can play it then it makes it more agitating due to rubbing it in our faces that don't have a PC or gaming laptop. Like if I had the money for it then I absolutely would have gotten it already but sadly how prices are going up for groceries, housing stuff like (toilet paper, laundry detergent, and etc.) and rent it is just to tuff.
Say it with me y'all... FLOP
battlefield is a battlefield killer lol
Imo BF2042 is overall a battlefield game. Only "wrong" thing it had going on was the specialists. If they would just released their gadgets as... special gadgets no one would have questioned a thing and would have cried only about how we would need levolution events and good destruction.
“Ability”? Yup, nope! Deuces. ✌️
Short answer no.
Remove specialist and pay for the game but do not have crazy skins or camos. If you want camos do it bf4 style. I would totally buy. Heroes are getting old and annoying with many games that aren’t single player
It's owned by activision 😢
if you are playing a battlefield game and still not enjoying it, because some how it not battlefield enough for you, then might as well look and try elsewhere.
No. Period. Even a perfect fun game wouldn't. Brand recognition and how small of a niesh shooters are these days makes it impossible.
To answer the clickbaity title: NO.
This game looks like World war 3 mixed with Bf2042. I dont think it will succeed in the western market.
Was interested until I saw that it was a hero shooter.. Won’t kill Battlefield, only Dice and EA will do that lol..
Came, saw comment about tencent, left
This game isn't DF I knew and loved. It looks like Battlefield and mixed with World War 3, also AI Power Ups. No Thanks.
Another of my teenage era brand ruined.
Battlebit already lost most players. and is not on consoles.
Tencent f2p and specialist easy pass for me
"operators" lol. Yeah big No.
I hate to say it - but I don't see this performing well....
The true battlefield killer is DICE !!
Characters? I'm out. Sorry Delta Force, I had hope for you when I saw that you were relaunching
This isnt Delta Force....chinese hack company TENCENT stole the name and are gonna try to milk nostalgia for cash...staying far from this trash
Hereo classes and made by ten cent? 😢Dead on Arrival ... Ill stick with World War III..XD
A game that is also on last-ditch-effort life support, lol.
Stopped watching as soon as I saw there are operators/specialists.
