Thats overkill when all you need is the rest of your team to be oblivious to the one enemy running across the field just to sneak up behind you and palnt the C5 which is most of the time.
The unbreakable shield, the one-shot, fast shield bash, and the ability to sprint with little to no threat to the player makes that character an absolute nightmare to fight. He really needs a nerf imo. I absolutely lost it when I saw that Dozer's shield can block a tank round.

It is very frustrating to play against, the shield shouldn't be able to deflect underbarrel grenades nor rockets let alone tank shells! That is beyond ridiculous. Also melee range is insane
the grenade launchers can kill them on impact, only counter it seems.
It’s also silly that lightly bumping into someone with full ballistic armor on does more damage than a sniper round lol
It's something I discovered eons ago and forgot about it, It seems that some rounds on shotguns can pierce right through the shield. You may want to try to play shotgun

when a ballistic shield does more damage than any melee weapon you know your game has balancing issues
The knife is sort of a melee weapon and it one shots from any distance, and you can one shot melee any enemy with any melee if you can get behind them.

It honestly shocked me the shield one shots. Idk why so many games have a guy with a heavy shield be able to one shot. It’s like the operator is made of titanium and be able to block explosives.
giving the shield a takedown animation in which dozer is vulnerable during it would be a proper nerf I think.
I kinda think it's fine how Dozer is after the buff. The problem is that nobody freaking uses stuff like the M2 which causes enemy vehicles and Dozers get away with server murder lol. They used reverse psychology and buffed Dozer to teach the Battlefield community how to destroy vehicles, haha =P.
@@NippleSauce There is basically no counter play when you run into a dozer at close range. He can run at you and you can't jump around him anymore like you used to be able to. Dozer is problematic and needlessly annoying. Screw anyone except engineers when running into Dozer I guess? That's not good balance. The problem isn't that Dozer can 'get away with server murder', the problem is that he's basically impossible to deal with in a 1v1 unless the Dozer makes a massive misplay. Some 1K/D Andy can easily get a kill on a 6K/D player just by being in annoying spots. No skill required.
It's a melee weapon. One hit is fine. Maybe the changing sprint speed with the shield would be a more "fun" adjustment. It's fun and satisfying to splat people. It's the same being able to run away, IF you see it coming.

What I'd like to see is a portal server of 64 v 64 Dozers...
Instead of making it so the shield can take all of the shots they should make it so there’s a stamina bar. And when the bullets are hitting the shield it decreases the stamina until there is none left. If you run out of stamina you can’t have the shield out until it regains.
Or like a reload timer. Hit twice and then wait like 30 seconds until you can use the shield for offense again. Use it to shield only during the wait or switch to your gun.
The Riot Shield has ever been "OP" since the BF4 days. But well they nefted it by changing the "Bullet Ploof Grass" to just "Soda Glass" and it been forgotten as soon as it started getting popular like in a month.

I really like this idea. It would stop shield spam. But at the same time shield spam is hilarious, so I am conflicted.
I’ve had no problems hitting them with the incendiary underbarrel rounds and that takes care of them.

Shield should make you run slower and take two hits to kill. Also larger caliber bullets should do a small bit of damage bleed
Man, splash dmg bullets do dmg to Dozer. Dozer had one hit kill and was running slower and almost nobody play him

I think rounds to the shield viewing window (headshots) should penetrate after something 3-4 rounds. In a small space there is almost nothing you can do to stop it. Also it should require at least two hits with the shield to kill so at least you can take a hit then try and get behind him where he is vulnerable.
You can kill him with the medic and the defibrillator
Hell adding bullet damage to the glass so he can't see where he is going can be good aswell.

I could swear I headshot a Dozer through the glass the other day. Maybe it was the hit box glitching through though. I think I was using armour piercing rounds on an assault rifle

The balance should be that the bash isn't 1 shot + there's a stamina penalty when holding it so that if you have the shield out constantly you can't bash with it when you have 0 stamina. Then you can use it the way you're supposed to, down corridors etc to push and open flanks. Personally I've had a blast playing as Dozer, especially in the Dozer vs Dozer shield fights but it really is OP xD.
It's also insane that you can chase people down with the shield, so you can't even run away from a dozer..

I guess when they call it a ballistic shield they are referring to its apparent ballistic propellant which allows it to crush combatants on the other side with incredible force.

Dozer has always been my main since I started playing and he could always do this kinda stuff but the thing that prevented him from becoming a one man army was the range of the shield and that it reduced how fast you could turn so the way to defeat him was going around him and killing from the back.
The best why to stop people from flanking you is to walk backwards because they never see it coming and end up giving you their back lol
All you need is underbarrel weapon. The HE underbarrel goes through the shield

I usually aim for their feet when they're walking with the shield As for balancing: Make him walk slower when equipped with the shield, or change it to a 2-hit strike to kill someone
Easy fix is just to allow high caliber rounds/explosives to nullify the invulnerability, additionally, they could make the shield bash a 2 hit kill instead of one. Until then, I'm going to continue to dominate as Dozer XD

That is what happens when you try to make a niche tactics works in too many scenarios. Dice were probably too focus on pickrates and not gameplay when they decided these changes.

One way to nerf dozer is have basically a health bar type system to the glass on the shield lets say it can survive 500 bullets or rounds when it past the the glass breaks then the enemy has chance to fight back/kill u by head shot or something

I don't remember the ballistic shield in BF4 being this powerful, probably because they could just shoot through your viewport. Maybe the glass on Dozer's shield needs to be penetrable by at least some sort of heavier caliber rounds to balance it out a bit.

Don't know how dozer was before this buff but it seems like a relatively easy fix, give the shield durability, or make him get Knocked over by explosions (if they hit the shield)

The solution to killing Dozer is the incendiary underbarrel launcher on the SFAR. Keep it in your first slot, it's a quick switch and one shot straight to the shield.
