  • A brilliant, totally original script. This film should have won multiple awards. The logic of the story is impeccable and it's a great way to make us see ourselves through the eyes of someone from a future that is compassionate, free from the tyranny of the money system, and where they eat good organic food! A simple idea but no one's done it before. All the actors are great...and more powerful and believable because none of them are 'stars.' The lead actress, Eli Thier, carries the movie effortlessly. Such a good movie!

  • Wow, as an American man 60 years old, I often feel the same way as the character. This is a commentary on the shameful reality. That is our existence. since I was a child, I dreamed of a better world, and I have attempted to work at that all my life. It is a depressing reality we live in and people wonder why it is this way as I have always wondered. I often feel like a man out of time and I know a lot of us do This is not the way it’s supposed to be this is not the way it should be and it’s up to us to change it. Peace for Mayor Winston Salem NC in the USAS on a tiny blue dot in the armpit of a tiny galaxy in an infinite cosmos… May the great spirit protect us all.

    • Yeah I agree with you 100% , , , I'm 67 and from South Africa and I follow what is going on in the US very intently (not the politics as such but what is going on behind everything). . . . . . I don't know what you know or understand as to what is really going on in our F***-up world right now . . . . . As a Light Warrior I am very clued-up as to what is going-on in our world right now globally and especially since Trump took office from 2017 . . . . . . and I know this', we are currently as a humanity shifting into a new world and a new reality and we are the precipice of this starting to happen and a lot is already in progress but is not seen yet . . . . there will be flip of everything on our planet globally soon and things are going to change dramatically, it will be a slow process but it will be ongoing on a permanent basis for the greater good all of humanity into a new age of living for all . . . . . . I believe that this movie is based on a real future reality, as we do have the technology that is with the White-hats that can see into the future and this movie is telling us something very significant right now . . . . . . I hope you will be around to witness what is coming as it is good, and I myself hope I will also be around for a long time still to come to experience this change in humanity that is so eminent. I trust that this message sits well with you . . . . if not, I apologize for the intrusion in your comment. God Bless . . Shalom peace. 😃

    • This is very anti-culture. It is pushing every button the writers can imagine to be it's most offensive to middle income and working class racial driven americans. It's intended audience. A reversion to the hippie, let's not ware any clothes movement of the early 70s. The bald guy kicked out of a black woman flat is yet another insult to his loser of a lifestyle, is just comical. It would have been funny if it said 4F on the guys door. It is obvious why this film is not popular. No one is going to pay to be offended for an hour and a half. This is an offbeat comedy if your not the intended audience.

    • Any one remember Cheech and Chong made a movie called "The Rude Awakening" ? I grew up being nieve to how the world actualy is (a kid from the bush) and wanting help people get along , But I had to learn that some people don't have empathy or understanding , Now I look through a glass darkly ..... In my Xmas video about Gripy (My version of Brum ha ha) you see the words "R U OK" in blue. Because in Australia we paint the some trees on the side of the road Blue to advertise a help line and a way of checking on others R U OK Mate?

  • I thought this was going to be just an ok movie. Perhaps even boring. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is very good. The writing was excellent. The acting was perfect. There were many funny and touching moments. The casting could not have been better. It was excellent. There were parts that I enjoyed so much I had to 'rewind' and watch them again. Everyone did an excellent job. Why did we not hear of this movie before? It should have won many awards. Watch this movie. You won't regret it. Time very well spent.

    • I gave it a 2 on the boring scale. I think you hit the nail on the head with 'Meandering'. I would have viewed Part two if there was one. So I guess it scored something positive or maybe I need to realised I am too curious and would watch it hoping for an improvment of hjust so I can catorgorise it as seen and not to be watched again. She is supposedly an intellectual from the future but she acts stupid most of the time with the resulting film focas on he mistakes and depressive inabilities. Not a receipy for myself. I prefer more colour, more story, happier or more excitement.

And it must have a point. Do you recall "meeting Joe Black" that seemed to go on forever and one lost interest early on but stayed to a long tapering end. Iv not watched Hopkins or Pitt since. I would like to see the end and a happy one. Film is after all an entertainment. Many now l find downers. Lets hpoe there is a sequel.👍

    • The 'Sespair' is local to her. Same as witthe USA Great Depression. It is local to the USA but there were manipulators trying to spread it elsewhere and abroad. Many will disagree I know. But it was a media epidemic of a kind where only half truths were being told. They missed out the Great Balance which was millions of starving, hungrey souls in soup kitchen queues in freezing winters. But in that supposed great depression born of great poverty, where were the balancing images of the Happy smiling faces of the Goverment and their Banks who were building their new super bank with money stock piled to the ceilings on pallets which need fork lift trucks to move them. The absence of money in some USA economic regieogs was due to the removal. The money didn't caych fire and evaporate. It was taken out and held in depositoryies whilst the media narratives focused on the effects rather than the causes. Yes. I know of the supposed stock market collaps which many say was to blaim. But again the sheeples followed the hysteria broadcast by the bankers and media who were not explaining the risks of a gamble. And worse were the risks of a gamble with borrowed money. So againg things come around again to the hording of the monetary wealth which would reduce the money with in some economies and make investments harder and harder as money got shorter and shorter but still those hoading the super bank wealth would not be helping to break the poverty cycle. Even though that was what the money was supposed to be for. So one woman's view of despair should not be viewed as a National Despair but as her personal view-point or opinion. But then it is Science Fiction. LOL. She should have got on her hover board and flown about making people happy instead of being misarable and full of her own woes. Hardly suprising people told her 'to take a Hike'.

  • This is so totally good and original!! Sorry to say, but if everyone in NY or wherever this is, is really like that, I'm really glad I'm not there. People here are kind of like that too. Some. I'm just really glad I have my partner and things are friendly and simple.

  • A great movie and actors showing us how we are losing humanity in today's world. People sitting together in a subway but each of them being lonely. This movie is a masterpiece. We must learn to be human beings again.

  • I ran into this film almost by mistake and was greatly surprised. I wish the creator, writer, director and actor, manages to film the whole trilogy. A scy-fi story with normal, regular characters. I loved it!

  • A story of the times we are all living in, it would, as in the film, take someone from the future, a much better future to tell us there's a better way to live then the way live in the 21st century.

  • Looking forward to the sequel. Such a great depiction of humanity's struggle during these times. We have been propogandized and programed against one another. Creator help us to reconnect with one another, here and now. Blessings and love to all who view this movie.

  • People need to see this. It is totally relevant. It's amazing to see how we really are from the view of someone totally new to our society. A film that really means something. I wonder if there's a sequel, or if to be continued meant nothing's going to change for a while.

  • It's a sad story. As a historian, I think she should have wised up faster. I did like how she understood and accepted in a moment that she was never going home. If there is a sequel I would like for it to be about what happens after both times are able to freely communicate and travel between worlds. Forget about powerful groups trying to monopolize the situation, because a peaceful exchange will provide far more interesting possibilities than those overdone plots.
