  • I am 77 and have been a devotee of SciFi since 1958... this is one of the best stories and presentations ever. I have searched like so many for an acceptable answer to first contact. Burroughs, Azimov, Saberhagen, Le Guinn, Bradbury and all that have followed could not have done better. It is about life seeking life; in the most honest way. One being to another without the burden of societal/cultural burdens. How fresh and thrilling to imagine that it could be that easy. Kudos to all involved. The best stories are about believable people. It was hard to laugh and cry at his recognizing the "message," but so satisfying. I am glad to have found this by accident ... my quest is complete. We should all share this with someone we care about. Adieu, mes amis...

      @joshrogan9854@joshrogan98548 күн бұрын
  • I like the subtle clues that Clara was the "Voyager" and was sent, knowing she would not survive on Earth, to guide Isaac to her world, e.g., - the language skills, her quiet "mysticism" and that she seemed to come from "nowhere". Nicely done. Adams did a really good job playing the role of a guy who "fled to his head" to avoid facing his feelings about losing his child and eventually comes to realise who Clara was and what she was guiding him towards. A lot better than average for this genre, in my view.

  • This allows the imagination to fill in between the lines. Clara is not who she appears to be. They develop a dance of the hearts and it becomes apparent in the end who Clara is revealed as; she has nurtured and softly guided the quest to find the answers and she is the answer he has been looking for. It is a reminder of who I lost, my dearest Rosita 3 1/2 years ago.

  • The fact that we get hurt by love proves that we need training how to apply it to others and our selves. Real love is a giving, helping, aiding, and exist simply as an invitation to participate. Some people will never love, but demand obedience and submission without reward. Real love is it own reward. In loving others we love ourselves and give permission to be free. Free will is the highest love. And so God gives!

If the Dyson sphere was at the La Grange L1, then it would have been on the opposite side of the Jupiter sized planet viewed from earth when the planet was passing in front of the star. So how did it give the step anomaly? Also how did Bruno determine the orbital period in one pass. Third, If the planet distance was 0.5 AU from the star then howcome the orbital period was so short?...

  • I agree with all the positive reviews in this comment section. An absolute gem of a sci-fi movie. But I would like to add the cast performance. Subtle and captivating. It got me in the first few minutes, in the classroom. Magnificent. Dropped the project I was working on to watch it. 👍🏻🤝🏻❤️🇳🇱

  • Plato knew that there is a larger reality. One of his proofs was : the perfect geometric forms-sphere, pyramid, cube , etc. these forms do not exist anywhere in nature yet even a human child can easily conceive of them. Plato concluded that they exist as part of a larger reality and can be expressed here.

  • What an absolutely amazing movie! No million dollar CGI. No action sequences or romance. No nothing...yet I could not stop watching this movie. The story. The acting...everything was done so brilliantly I didn't leave my seat or pause once through out. It was like watching a really good book...a book that you couldn't wait to get to the next page. If I could only use one word to describe it...gripping. Kudos to the people who made this and thank you for the journey.

  • Hallo from Germany. Had to take a break and dry my tears at 1:15:00. Danke for the upload. What a great movie and so different then others. We know their is more to it and might be afraid to look behind what we are used to it. At times we get touched but we turn away because it is easier to be normal. Peace, love, Gesundheit and dont give up hope. We are not alone.
