you can be even faster by pressing space continently while sprining up those stairs to build limit
Don't forget spamming the jump key when sprinting up stairs, which usually is pretty fast

Leave ender pearl in soul-sanded water with opened trapdoor near the height limit. Close trapdoor from sea level using vertical redstone chain. Takes nearly 0 seconds to get to the top.

In. Creative you can use end crystals (in bunches) to launch you up pretty high My highest using end crystals is around 20,000 blocks high

Bedrock also has (or had, idk if it was patched) an almost instant safe vertical teleportation in survival using falling block entities and a piston along with some weird physics

Hey skip you forgot about mob head stair cases, by alternating between placing a mob head on the ground and on the wall you can make a stair case that’s actually pretty fast Edit: and if it doesn’t work on Java try it on bedrock because that’s where I tested it

Topaz in bedrock (dn about java) you can use creative + elytra and you can bug it and you can fly super fast

I LOVE my Riptide trident. Favorite item by far and I never put it down. Always have 2 water buckets too. Don't have Elytra yet but I live by the ocean and go to the snow limit often when it rains.
It was like 70-80 degrees in Seattle yesterday and the last time I remember it raining was like a week or 2 ago.

The fastest way to go ANYWHERE IN ANY MAP is a teleportation machine using an ender pearl stasis chamber. You can teleport anywhere in the map instantly using it.

The second stair case is even faster when you run and jump together.
You need to be absurdly good at spamming the jump key because if you slow down spamming the jump button for a second that will REALLY hurt the time. You also can't hold it down because it usually slow down as opposed to spamming it.

Here are my results in 1.16 going from y level 4 to about 120, sure it's not the height he did but quite frankly I cannot be bothered to invest that much time into proving you wrong. Running up the stairs: 19 seconds Running up the stairs and hitting spacebar in short bursts (Edit: About 3 taps each burst) with about a 1 second delay between each like I'm some freak that just can't possibly move their thumb up and down a spacebar consistently: 16 seconds Running up the stairs and spamming spacebar not even that fast, just casually moving my thumb up and down: 13 seconds.

With water if you are a new beginner you can sprint in water. So sprint and hold the space bar while going up the stream you go really fast. And btw get your guy right next to the block. Also if you are drowning. Still looking straight up move to and edge until you are like half and half to get air but still use this strategy. I like to be sideways i felt that was the easiest way for me to get air but still regulate that i was in the water

Thought this was really cool, then realized I would never need to travel to build limit
there is a machine that bounces an enderpearl in a column of water , this machine would have the travel speed of the redstone plus the time for enderpearl to descend the column from the moment the button is pressed depending on the position of the enderpearl this may take a few seconds longer, and due to the height of the machine it would still be necessary to climb a few blocks in height to reach the top, but it is definitely faster than stairs

Windows XP memes and stuff lol Minecraft loads chunks in a 16 x 16 area, from bedrock to height limit, if your teleporting to the world limit then what terrain would be needed to load? The only thing I can think of slowing you down is having a bad computer that has a hard time teleporting you instantly. Plus, you could already have the command copied and pasted, he made an entire flying machine and didn’t count the building time, so just tp.

Just use one of those instant enderpearl teleportation things where you put an enderpearl in water and place a trapdoor so whenever you want to you can activate that trapdoor and you will be teleported to where you set up the contraption
