Continue driving, you know spread the mess of 8 quarts over however far you kept going making it a bigger mess. Cheap fix, and maybe the tires could use some more tread they are getting a little low. Oh, and it has a thumping sound, but it's just supposed to do that. That windshield crack was probably made by some rich dude so it's probably worth something. Great car, diamond in the rut. Rebuilt title.

You didn't throw two rods you destroyed the connecting rod bearings that's what's tapping! You didn't break off the valves because it's an interference engine meaning if the timing to gets to far off you risk piston to valve contact and that will always lockup an engine on the spot!

I actually smashed my car on an oil spill driving up an on ramp. It was dark and I thought it was just wet pavement because it had been raining. Another guy driving a Vespa wiped out on it, totalled his Vespa and was full of scrapes, bruises and cuts. This isn't funny.

I would question parking it near other vehicles when it is smoking. The same happened to me with 89 Suzuki Sidekick at (60 mph), Kaboom, a plume of black smoke behind me (didn't know car came with James Bond deterrent package), the car shuddered and speed was dropping, made my way to the far right-hand lane and up the exit ramp crawling to a service station. That was where she died 😥. Piston rod through the block.

Continue driving, you know spread the mess of 8 quarts over however far you kept going making it a bigger mess. Cheap fix, and maybe the tires could use some more tread they are getting a little low. Oh, and it has a thumping sound, but it's just supposed to do that. You didn't throw two rods you destroyed the connecting rod bearings that's what's tapping! You didn't break off the valves because it's an interference engine meaning if the timing to gets to far off you risk piston to valve contact and that will always lockup an engine on the spot!
I know your comment is 2 years old but when somebody says "throw a rod" they typically mean "rod bearings"
