      @expeditewildlifetours6608@expeditewildlifetours6608 Жыл бұрын
    • Umm, no... by turning his back, he said I'm not threatened by you, and now your my bi$% because I just invaded your personal space and you did nothing about it. There is nothing relaxed and calm about it, it may appear that way only because he is showing his dominance by appering not to being worried in the slightest, but the whole behavior here is very aggressive! The cameraman was expressing how he almost just died, you can see it on his face. See my other comment on the main thread for what actually happened here.

      @johnny0454@johnny0454 Жыл бұрын
    • @Johnny The gorilla didn't need a big showy act of dominance when a simple "you're not threatening" sufficed. How's that different from what I said? You're confusing "calm" with "peaceful". A gorilla is perfectly capable of ripping a man in half. The fact that he does not do it shows he can practice restraint. That alone shows he can be both dominant and calm, which is the whole point of this. Now, if it was a chimp that man would have been VERY dead. But that's another story

      @undead9999@undead9999 Жыл бұрын
    • @@undead9999 It was more than that, the gorilla punked him out, and made him a bi$%. Very aggressive bullying, and that is not a calm behavior, how do you not see that? Sleeping is calm. If the guy would have stepped out of line, in any way, shape, or form, even by making eye contact, it would have been instant death. The gorilla aggressively challenged the man by invading his personal space and making him move. Good thing the man let him win with his overt display of dominance. I'm not confusing anything, and the gorilla didn't show any restraint because the man didn't challenge him, the gorilla's response was merely appropriate to the man's response. Gorilla's aren't capable of "restraint" as you suggest. Notice how the gorilla went and sat above the men, so as to make it clear he looks down on them, I don't view that as calm behavior either, it's aggressive; you cant be both calm and aggressive at the same time. Aggression is the opposite of calm, even if it's passive. I didn't say anything about a big, showy act of dominance now did I, what are you referring to?

      @johnny0454@johnny0454 Жыл бұрын
    • Furthermore, if the man was happy, it was because he was still breathing, in all actuality he was scared beyond belief. His heart is probably still racing with adrenaline and fear.

I think it's wrong, it's impossible for the ape to tell who are the peaceful scientists and who are poachers or bad guys. So the ppl depend that poachers or hunters would never come here, but now if they did these apes are in trouble for letting anyone pass.
