Here are 7 of my most used, basic and effective offensive combinations. I have used as much real sparring footage to show that they are effective and my most often used offensive combinations. Remember, basics win the fight!

“Basics win fights, with an advanced technique here and there as an option” so true

Your welcome sir, thank you for all the great content. It is obvious that you have a deep passion for the sport
Footwork, movement, defense, basic combos.
Basics save you this is good stuff

@@MMAShredded Thanks for responding to a reply on an old video. I got a question for ya: when you mention in your videos about active rest in between sets, what can I do in those active rest periods? Corrective exercises? Strecthing?
@@davybigfly we usually do alternated 5-10 push ups and squats or you can just rest if you're not fit enough. dont do stretching especially static stretching, it will lower your performance. only do it at the end of your class as your cool down session.
People’s champ right here

Jeff your striking is like the Mona Lisa, just beautiful. Since MMA Shredded, my sparring has improved greatly. Gotta love those low kicks bro. Gotta practice combo 4, 5 and 6😊
Love hearing from you Jaycee! Combo 6 was the hardest and took the longest for me to land and get use to. I use to never be able to land long knees until I figured out the rythm of left hook - right hook - grab the head!
MMA Shredded you are right my bro, the timing and rhythm of Combo 6 is challenging. Love it bro
I like his style! But I get goosebumps seeing him dropping hands that low.. All it takes is just a little snap on the chin and he is gone. McGregor vs. Aldo is a good example. Conor's hook wasn't really powerful!

haha music from ross budgen
trueeeeee goddamnit
. this instructor has real experience in fighting tech that work. my only advice (30 yrs of boxing) is open up/set up with more lead variant jabs. especially w/combo #1 . Dont attempt a liver rip w/o setting it off a jab or 1-2. even if opponent is shelled up your to open to a strong counter. start with a jab and end with a jab variant (if necessary) thats a boxing rule.really good stuff!
Hey rick! Thanks for your advice! I've learned that from my coach before, jabbing away out of the liver hook. Im still not too good at it tho. I find the only time I can avoid getting hit after a liver hook punch is to step out with a low kick right after.
Looks good , like a taller zambidis
Distance is everything, well said Mister. Also the Jab at the end during your reset creates a " safe area " especially with fighters that have the tendency to answer every hit.. The final jab really discourage them to do so..
This is muay Thai/kickboxing not boxing, it's okay to throw a lead liver rip without a jab, watch some Rodtang fights, he's amazing and it's one of his go to kill shots.
@@anitainment6426 It's 50% boxing if not more.. Especially at the modern era of western style we have 3-5 basic kicks and the rest is boxing history... So of course you can throw a liver punch without setting it with jab or 1-2... BUT against western style it's rather difficult to execute it right and at the same time to find the opponent off guard due to style.. At Thai this very common ( liver shot with out setting ) because ITS COMPLETELY different style... So if you want to succeed with a liver shot best and most safe case scenario is setting up liver shot with Jab or 1-2 or kick-3 or whatever suits best your style... One way or another you must force your opponent to raise his guard in order to find open spot for liver...
All of the comments above (or below ;) These sparring breakdowns are the best on youtube at this moment!!! Real sparring footage with the 'theoretical' explanation behind it... GREAT STUFF!
Thanks for your support Alain!!
Recently started training at a Muay Thai gym and I have been struggling massively with sparing mostly due to a total lack of striking experience. I can tell after a few session since studying your videos that my confidence and ability have improved massively, so just wanted to drop a comment with some thanks! The liver Hook - step to low kick is my best friend against the more experienced guys!
im very happy to hear bro thanks! keep up the training!
7 basic combos. 1)Left roundhouse kick low Right cross, or overhand right 2) right cross left kick 3) hooks striping guard or pushing a straight out of my center line . 4) left hook right straight. 5) jab cross hook collar tie upper cut. 6) jab jab lead elbow 7) lead front kick to jab or vice versa.
Dragon Shenron You’re the MVP bro thank you 🙏🏽😁
Dragon Shenron Lmao the jab jab lead elbow didnt workout for me. It looks like the generic combo of the Jocks from Bully Scholarship Edition
I accidentally volunteered myself for an MMA fight tomorrow, thus I'm watching YT tutorials in a panic. Since I don't have time to learn the specifics, here is the overview of all 7 combos that I got in my head >> Step 1 ~ Flail your arms a bit. Step 2 ~ Kick them in the leg.
lmfaoooooo!
I'm back from my MMA fight, complete with headache and stubbed toe. Your advice worked great. I was able to both flail my arms _and_ kick them.
How the fuck do you accidentally volunteer for an MMA fight in a day's notice lmao lying nigga
@@Logan-zv4xg , by watching the video and trying to distill the combos down to their most basic elements. That being said, my OP is actually wrong. The combos are: Step 1 ~ Flail your arms a bit. Step 2 ~ Kick them.
@@pianogiovanna4854 My job has HIGHLY irregular hours, so I can't always get to training sessions. When I do get the chance I jump on it. Also the gym/dojo I'm with is actually 4 different gyms that work together; everything from BJJ, MMA, Karate, HEMA, Kenda (and one of the gyms is at the same location as indoor archery, but they aren't part of the package deal). My coach posts to the group chat "Tomorrow morning, [gym location], who is coming" and I immediately said yes. I then ask if it is no gi and my coach replies with a picture of some brutal ground-and-pound and says "fight like this, 8 rounds." and I replied "I'll see if I can last 2" And sure enough I lasted 2, gassed out totally in the 3rd round. _______________________ If you still then I made it all up, so be it. Truth is I actually held back on some details (such as my coach's name) because that would be even LESS believable. Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.
You are absolutely correct, repeatedly showing a combo or a move is incredibly helpful.
Wow really good stuff. Been in need of practical combos, thanks my man.
Damn bro one of the best videos I've seen this far, sweet combos, plus your breakdown on every move was dope af Gracias!
thanks so much man!
This helps in a fight because it has been spar proofed. Unlike most of those Wing Chun practitioners who rip you off completely by showing a McDojo move.
thanks for watching!
Lmao 😂
Mcdojo
I just started training again after an accident and almost 3 years of inactivity where I couldn't even walk right. I'm hooked to your videos, great material !!, thanks again for sharing brother!!
im happy to hear your back at it bro! keep it up!
How's your recovery going?
Thank you for this.
We appreciate this man ! It really helps me out when I spar with more advanced opponents, much love !
Awesome! Let me know if you have any questions I can help you with!
MMA Shredded I'm just really bad at handling pressure, would you ever consider making a video on pressuring opponents and what to do when pressured with quick combos ?
I will try to make a second video, but watch this for now: kzhead.info/sun/dttsY9hqjGuLa5s/bejne.html When people pressure, you need to COUNTER to put fear in his striking or utilize footwork and the long guard.
But yeah i like that idea, I will come up with a new video.
MMA Shredded one of my favorite videos you made is the long guard one Thank you for replying man ! keep it up
Yes. The proof of use in your sparring is the real clincher for me over other fight channels. Merry Christmas! 🎅
thank you!! Merry Christmas bro!
"Basics win the fight with an advanced technique every here and there as an option." Literally truer words never been spoken!
thanks for watching bro cheers!!
@@MMAShredded Enjoy all your stuff man. You do a great job!
Quality production and great visualisations for the little things you do that make these combos work so well
Thanks bro!
You can not imagine how much you are inspiring my coaching but also my fighting game plan. very clear explaination, very effective combos that can be easily integrate in our arsenal technics. love from france!
thanks so much man keep it up!!
Loved these combos, I have been actually training with one combo weekly, trying to get used the movement. it has really helped, especially bc your combos are in live sparrings, not on punching bags. A lot of the times you practice a combo on a bag not knowing if it will work in a sparring, then you find it out isnt sometimes. This way you know the combos you are getting better at will work, so really enjoyed these videos. I will keep on following your tips, would love to actually go train with you one day. OSS!!
thanks for watching brother!! would love to train together one day!
I literally love every single bit of important detail that is being put into these videos. i have no idea how people can dislike this video. This channel is sooo underrated
thanks so much!
Dude thanks so much for this video. I love that these combo's come with sparring footage and I'll start working these into my sparring and heavy bag work
awesome bro thanks for watching!
MAAAAN!! i spent several weeks tryin to find a channel that will improve my itf skills certainly my quest has finished. BRooooo u dont know how happy i am right now. ur vids are simple to understand and at real sparring tooo unlike other bozos giving tips that is not applicable to real sparring. 101/100
Sweet thanks for the support bro!
some nice simple and effective combos, after trying these all out I'm for sure locking them down in my game more. Sometimes when you train for so long you forget to keep it simple .
Yeah! Awesome bro thanks for watching!
Being a total beginner in fighting, I just wanted to say that the way you explain and detail your combos makes it easy to understand, and agreed, seeing your sparring sessions really helps too! Thanks!!
thanks so much!
Just found your channel. This is great stuff! Thank you for taking the time to share and edit all of this knowledge!
Thanks Sam! Be sure to check out the rest of my video if you like this one!!
Great video Jeff. Very helpful. I see that you utilize many combos from Ernesto Hoost. He's a good figher to imitate/learn from.
Yeah Alan, I use to watch a lot of Hoost! Thanks for the comment!
I make all my students watch Hoost! I can't believe how many people who train in striking don't know who he is!
I watch Duane Ludwigs vids where they do 6-7 punch combos on the pads and never do I see TJ peform them in a fight. Your's however I see fighters peform all the time. Honestly, you are the most useful Striking coach I've ever found.
thank you so much brother! check out the other comment i replied to!
Subscribed. Very well put together and insightful
Thanks bro!!
Beautiful striking I definitely learned something from this video
Great video. I'm new to sparring and I struggle with a high-level southpaw (I'm orthodox) who seems to land his right hand at will every time I try a left hook - inside low kick similar to your combos #1 and 2. Should I be throwing a right hook and attacking his rear leg or am I just not getting off line enough on my kick?
What you are doing is fine, but just assume you need more drilling/practice/experience. You cant expect to beat someone who has done it longer or is just better at it than you. Sometimes it isnt the technique your doing wrong, its that someone else is better at defending than you are at attacking or vice versa! Keep up the good training and remember to drill drill drill!
MMAShredded Thank you for the reply and your great videos! I really appreciate it!
Anytime bro!
Damn Jeff, you find your style : Great technics, top sparring sessions and excellent sound track! There is Lawrence Kenshin, and there is Jeff Chan ;) Viewing your videos make me wanna do sparring right now to try this out !
Haha! Thanks brother! Try them out and let me know if they work for you and if you got any questions! Id love to help you out!
man, keep the vids coming. Its helping me a lot at the gym. GOD bless ya!
glad to hear it man thank you!
I think this is one of your best videos. I love they way you are showing these techs in actual sparring. Thanks for sharing! Subbing!
thanks man!
Simplicity is best when it comes to combos in sparring. Every once in a while you can do a flashy move. Simple being like Jab, cross Lead hand hook, cross Lead hand hook, cross, roundhouse to leg or body And so on
agreed
take care of your brain from sparring! best mma instructionals!
Thanks bro! Yes I will try hahaha
Your videos are awesome man! I always share them with my training partners and coaches. Love how you show the fails and are honest with yourself and the viewers such as why you go leg kick after body hook because your boxing isn’t as developed. Great videos, great martial artist, and keep on the hero’s journey!
thanks so much Josua! keep up the training!
I have seen quite a few of your videos but this is one of the best ones

You've got some really nice striking mate, how's your wrestling and Jiu jitsu tho? Not hating just wondering since you're an MMA fighter
Hey thanks! Im a purple in BJJ. As for wrestling, im not one to just say im good or bad haha, but I do have some wrestling videos around my channel!
MMAShredded Quality stuff lad, if you struggle to take people down a solid uppercut or hook will always do the job 👍
Tony Ferguson is the type of dude to offer mma advice on KZhead.
"I clearly felt a snap" - Tony Fergusons knee
one of my favorite combinations is jab, left inside leg kick and right overhand right. next one is jab, left push kick.
Sweet bro!
MMA Shredded I learnt it from you. I just watched some of your combos and improvised:) hope you never stop making videos ! Very practical applications you show us

BEST and most realistic comment I've ever heard from an instructor! I've been practicing martial arts, on and off, for years, but I still suck at it, not much self believe, I guess, but I love martial arts!!! "Basics win fights, with an advanced technique, every here and there, as an option." I love it, I embrace it, I believe it, and it fills me with hope! Thank you, coach Jeff!
thanks for the love bro!
