Clarence Seedorf is the only footballer in history to win the champions league with 3 different clubs.
While there have been many great jack of all trades throughout football - Clarence Seedorf was not just great at doing everything on the pitch - he was absolutely world class.
To me, he was truly one of the most complete midfielders in history - but at the same time, he really is underrated. He should be up there in discussions of the greatest midfielders the game has ever seen, and I'm here today to convince you why he deserves it.

Probably the most underrated and under appreciated midfielder of all time in my opinion, who can do everything as good as Clarence Seedorf? Pure genius and class 💯
He really reminds me of Gullit but Clarence seems more complete
Great channel bro! Keep it up ⭐
Can you do Roberto baggio
Tony kroos
Probably if you are a messi fan. For the people that know ,of course he was one of the best!
I'm from The Netherlands, Seedorf has a bad image here.. it's sad. He missed a penalty in the WC i think, and never played at the level he did at his clubs for the national team,. Mostly because we had so much midfield talent, they posted him on the left, like you mentioned in the video they did at Real, to fit in more 'attractive' players. When Seedorf talks, he sounds smart (he is) and he knows what he wants, this is perceived to be 'arrogant' in my country which is a big no no here. He never got the love from The Netherlands he clearly deserves. I had wished for him to have some more luck in his international career, and he would be loved like everybody loves Giullit. This man deserves a statue in Milan tbh. One of the biggest legends of the game, period.
very interesting points my man. Yup, Seedorf fits so well anywhere that many of his managers didnt put him where he should really be
@@RaymarFootball If he were good enough other players would make room for him not the oppsite. So the reason is simple: he is not good enough. Can you image sacrificing Zidane to fit in other player? Maybe only for Maradona, the most powerful player in the world.
@@weihuatang171 they dont really play the same role though 😂 and not good enough? He played for top clubs his whole career and was always a starter and had the most appearances for the club
He deserves a statute at Ajax as well. As for his lack of success with the Netherlands: during Seedorf's career peak the Dutch had loads of cr@p, outdated coaches like Hiddink and Advocaat who couldn't get the best out of him and preferred to rely on hard working midfielders like Cocu and van Bommel... Cocu and van Bommel over Seedorf, for Christ's sake!! Van Basten meanwhile didn't even pick him in 2006 and 2008 when he was at his peak. Once he was removed from the toxic Dutch NT environment and given the chance to work with clever coaches like Capello, Heynckes and Ancelotti, Seedorf shone like a diamond.
I feel if he born In france Or Germany, thing s will be different for him
Seedorf crying after winning the CL with Milan making him the first n I think still only player to win CL with 3 different teams will always be my biggest Seedorf highlight. It was literally like seeing someone get a lifetime achievement award when they were still young and in real-time. It was like it was surreal to even him.
yup. only 1 player in history to do it. just shows how important he was and how underrated he is. deserves to be talked more in top midfielders OAT conversations
Seedorf was the first, but Not the only one. Eto'o is the other one!But they robbed him of course...
@@NittyGritty85Eto'o case is very interesting cause he really did back to back finals
@@MN_2003 Back to back win with different clubs even, but I talking about 1999-2000 when he played in group stage and he should've score against Molde

Are yu sure😂😂
That's Gullit
@@gourmondal5812 thats cuz of fifa stats only, irl i think seedorf was better
seedorf could easily do elasticos and stuff which are 5star skill moves according to fifa but he has a 4 star skill, he could shoot well with his left foot as well but 4 star weak foot idek why
😂😂😂
As a Milan fan, Clarence Seedorf was part of my childhood and I was astonished every time I saw him playing. He was just not a fantastic player but also a great man, always humble and ready to help his teammates. His pure class was a pleasure to see every time he played. With Pirlo and Gattuso came out a perfect chemistry for midfield. And don't forget this man won 4 Champions League with 3 different teams (Ajax, Real Madrid, and Milan). I really miss this type of players, he is always in our hearts.
just the pure definition of class 💯
He's the perfect teammate. Humble, skilled, strong, always played for the team and he can shoot when required and does it super well. You can fit this guy into any elite team in history and he will always make them even better. His trophy record says it all. I miss the days where Italy had the most technically gifted players.
couldnt have said it better 💯
Clarence was the best period. The complete midfielder, the professor is a appropriate nick name. Legend who doesn't get spoke about enough.
nowadays no one is even close to seedorf . he was a beast out and inside of the box . he is my most favorite one
Project Mainoo
Camavinga plays like him quite literally can also be played in any position as well.
@@hankagura5355I’ve been looking for this comment
@@hankagura5355 he doesn’t play with the skill power shooting and passing range that Seedorf plays with.
Why? Because he is black?
When you look back at that Milan Midfield... Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka... Seedorf was a monster amoung other monsters, we aren´t going to see guys like those in a long time playing in the same club at the same time.
Current Real Madrid midfield in Bellingham, Valverde, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Güler can definitely grow to that level
That team perfected the 4-4-2 formation which emphasised 4 midfielders in a diamond shape.
@@nikolaimaharaj2319 I mean maybe but… a little early to be making comparisons like that don’t you think
Seedorf can fit it anywhere honestly
@@RaymarFootballSeedorf was probabbly the most complete midfielfder in Football´s history. A true "Jack of All Trades".
Seedorf is really that guy 🐐🔥
he definitely was 💯
Kobie Mainoo made me think of this legend, I'm no United supportee but I can appreciate how good of a player this guy could be...All inspired by Clarence
if he’ll be even half as good, he’ll be world class at the least
Exactly 💯
Hey, what about Toni Kroos? He's the most underrated player ever. He had won 1 World Cup, 5 Champions League's, 3 Bundesliga titles, 6 FIFA Club World Cup, 3 German's Cup, 3 Spanish Cup, 5 UEFA Supercup, has 455 games played for Real Madrid, 205 for Bayern Munich...
Hey toni Kroos is not underrated. He is an icon. A legend. A generational player. And had won 5 champions leagues
He should have won the 2014 World Cup golden ball not Messi
Only the Euro is missing, chances are not bad with this new Germany lineup at home
Totally agree don't forget him as a player and how underrated he is
No Messi deserved it He carried Argentina @@Thekingslayer-ig5se
I saw the end of Seedorf in the late 00s/early 2010s only a few seasons ... And I was in Awe of his passing and control ... I cant even imagine watching him in his prime ...
he could literally do everything as a midfielder, truly elite
Elite player, my goodness he was such a graceful and nice player to watch, had 0 weaknesses
His name's Clarence!!! and Clarence's parents have a real good marriage!!!
how good was he? is Seedorf as good as Debruyne? I have just never heard of him.
A reference from 8 Miles, good one.
@@tend8076DeBruyne 😂 buddy doesn’t know ball 😭
@@tend8076Seedorf is a better dribbler. De Bruyne is better at everything else.
Name is Clarence but he’ll destroy you in the pitch haha
An extremely underrated player, Seedorf was just as instrumental in that great AC Milan side as any of the other players. He was a joy to watch and oozed class and elegance.
Seedorf Suriname 🇸🇷 ❤❤
Yess i was waited my whole life for you to do a video on Seedorf. He became my favorite player ever since I played with that Milan team in PES 5 and 6.
Sorry for the wait my man 😂 hope you enjoyed ❤
Lived in Amsterdam from 1989 to 1991, this almost made me cry.
glad you enjoyed my man ❤
We all loved Seedorf, but that video made clear to me how underrated he is, didnt know that much about him
Yup, he deserves way more respect imo
Chirstian Vieiri stray was uncalled for, he was an amazing striker, one of the Italian legends for sure
i thought vieri was world class. you can't compare him to prime R9 though, so that is unfair.
Saw him playing in his last club: botafogo in the brazilian league, man, you could totally see how much of a "powerhouse" he was compared to the other players there.
First ❤ Also Seedorth is one of the complete midfielders ever, bro can be anywhere. Somewhat like Gullit 👍
I met this guy at Soldier field when AC Milan did tour here in the US in like 05. He is built like a tank and he played so gracefull
yup, man had class, grace, and was a killer at the same time
Early PES days, he was one of very few players to have the ability to shoot n score from halfway line 👏😁
Man’s shot was insane 🤯
Wait… Christian Vieri “far from a world class talent”?!?! That statement is mad. 103 goals in 143 games at Inter. He’s one of the best strikers of his generation.
Vieri stats or not was not a great player. He was decent, but a good goal scorer. In this day and age he would be praised, but at that time the level was so high. You saw with your eyes the levels
@@___Saint World class strikers score goals with both feet. TBF he was great in Serie A. Fluffed his lines at the 2002 World Cup.
One of my all time favourite players. He was a beast on Pro Evo 🤣
Clarence was a menace
a menace with grace, class, and genius 😂💯
Calling Vieri not a world class is blasphemy. Man was the definition of world class, especially before his struggles with injuries. Agree on everything else you said.
As soon as he made that statement I stopped the video!!! BLASPHEMY 😤
Vieri was an utter monster lol.
I strongly agree, Vieri averaged nearly a goal per match in every league and every club he went to. That is a definition of world class to me.
The most underrated midfielder in history
Him and Roy Keane
@@LittleIker19 yeah but he's not at Seedorf's level
I think so too tbh, especially for how legendary he is and how good he was but isnt talked about enough
You can see his brilliance in the recent legends match ... He's 48 bt it looks like he can still play at the top level .. absolute magician 👏
His work rate was insane
Yes exactly, super strong physically and very good technically, a special player fore sure, but not a super special one! Exactly his work rate won him those titles. Other than that he's not even close to super skilled central midfielders like Scholes, Xavi, Iniesta for example.
A truly brilliant footballer who was criminally underrated
Completely agree with you brother
Best football channel ever been here since a year and half ago and never left underrated
much love ❤ appreciate the kind words brother
Been waiting on this one. Legend! That Ajax squad was busted!

An absolute diamond of a player.
Wow! Fantastic documentary on seedorf. Great job you did
"the perhaps most important position for the job is a defensive midfielder" My first thought goes to Rodri, you really see the difference when he is on the pitch to when he isn't.
Clarence Seedorf forever one of the greats!!!!
people chat about busquets being underrated but clarence is so so under appreciated
Both legends, but honestly I’d prefer Seedorf 💯 he really was underapprecited for how good he was
Great video!
Seedorf, Rikaard and Davids. Wow 😮
Excellent quality video of a quality exellent (underrated) player... 👍
I have him in my all-time favourite players XI, yet he played for none of my favourite teams other than Ajax. That's how good Seedorf was: a complete package of muscle and brains, phenomenal as a teenager and still excellent well into his 30s. There wasn't one weakness to his game, even if he was not tall he was very athletic and strong.
Most UCLs won with different teams😮 (Petition for RaymarFootball to make a video about Cannavaro: Week 13, Day 81)
I will definitely make one on him my man 🫡 he’s on the list for sure eyes 👀
One of the all time best. Most underrated player in history
I feel like im the only person i know that always has this dude in my all time top 11. dude was a monster. Love seedorf. Really miss seeing him play. People underestimate how hard it is to fit into different teams and this guy was so good he fit into every team seamlessly and almost NEVER made a msitake and very frequently made the difference.
No one understands how good Seedorf is he is one of the most underrated and best midfielders he's very intelligent physical and sometimes a Goalscorer and the only player to win 3 Champions league for 3 different clubs Ajax Real Madrid and AC Milan
hey Reymar, another great video mate enjoyed watching it, but can you talk about Gattuso’s career next? I feel like his achievements is under appreciated and is not being talked much, much love brother.
calling vierii not world class is insane! He was one of the best strikers in Italy at one poin.. total disrespect
YESS! FINALLY, THANK YOU RAYMAR
IMO, Seerdorf is in my top 5 best players of the 2000's era. I can't forget how together with Kaka and Inzaghi, he really gave my MUFC nightmares in the UCL. The guy had great touches and he played with so much grace and agility. They don't make them like this any more. A True Icon.
One of the most reliable and efficient midfielder. A midfielder stallion
Yo, Raymar! GREAT VIDEO! I'd love for you to make a video on how the unsuspected baby faced killer, called Ole Gunnar Solskjær went from the small beginnings he had - to get to being the manager of one of the world's biggest clubs. Would LOVE to see that video, bruv. Been here since day one, homie. I love to see your channel grow
he’s definitely been on the list! Hopefully I can make it soon my man ❤much love for the continued support
Man wonderful video!!! I remember seedorf to well!!but i also remember vieri and i disagree whit you he was a top tier striker!!
He was great. Top top Top 🔝.
Only players i could think fitting his role after him could be yaya toure, pogba and moussa dembele, still they hadnt won as much as him. He was an incredible player, the pinnacle of the "dutch midfielder" who could do everything exceptionally well. Now i see in camavinga some similarities and i hope he will have a similar or even better career
The complete midfilder, good at shooting, scoring, passing, dribbling and defending... who else could do all of that and so good?
Seedorf is massively underrated. He is one of the notably best midfielders of all time.
He was amazing and is absolutely overlooked when we talk about the great midfielders. He won loads of trophies, had no playing weaknesses, stayed in exceptional shape and was a model professional.
Hey, I'm a big fan. Please do a video on Jávier Zanettí
You should definitely make a video on Naingollan
Best individual player.
He was better than Zidane , Xavi, Iniesta , Scholes , Pirlo , Modric, Keane.
My all time favorite player. I knew he was special back in his activr days...and watching these no touch, no vision, no creativity scrubs nowadays just confirms how great he was.
Criminally Underrated
His problem was having too many superstar teammates. That sounds crazy, but it really was true. He was never the best player in his team, but always top 3. Could play anywhere, find anyone with a pass, score from anywhere, could dribble, defend, run. On top of that, technically world class, strong, quick, incredibly balance, creative. With all that there were just bigger players around him. On top of him not showing out for the Netherlands in a generation where we had absolute world class footballers, he missed a really big penalty. Also perceived as arrogant. But an absolute superstar. Crazy footballer, for a dozen years straight and then some. Seedorf should make it into anyone's CL all time XI
Seeing him control that football , his players was like wow😂😂😂
Facts 🧠⚽👀
I think that because he broke through at such a young age and never really settled at a club before Milan it took him a bit longer to find his strenghts and confidence and by that time, the Dutch national team had almost already retired him. Also: no offense, love R9 and all but Christian Vieri was a complete beast at his top too.
Wow a the frist i am here about him but he was a great footballer mn i rate how i see how he play the game i love to watch more dan anything else 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Seedorf is the most underrated player in the Netherlands. Because of his problems with the national team, not many people appreciate him. About six days ago they also tried to bring the national team topic up again on Dutch tv and he wanted nothing to do with it. Phenomenal player but heavily underrated. When you think of the Netherlands, you think of Rijkaard, Gullit, Cruyff, Sneijder, RVP, Robben and others but not everyone mentions Seedorf which is a shame tbh. Still the only player to win the UCL with 3 different clubs.
Am gonna win 4 with Barcelona 🎉 love your vids
Best wishes for you bro ❤ much love 🙏
Just wish u could post everyday

Seedorf was one of the classiest football players of all time. Not just in terms of his playing but also as a person. What a special talent he was.

Kobbie Mainoo should take inspiration and style his game like this great player.
Even though he didn't produce the same for the national team as he did for his clubs, Seedorf is still my favorite player to have worn the orange jersey of the Netherlands. Not Cruyff or Bergkamp or Gullit. And I'm Dutch. Given how well he has fit in with every club team he ever played for or coached, I suspect the problem in the national team was a coaching / strategic issue.
Ze Roberto! Is he still playing? He is a machine
I can’t say this enough, Seedorf should’ve been held onto by Real Madrid and should have played in a midfield with Zidane, Makelele and Figo.
In pes for ps2 I used inter with Adriano Crespo Ibrahimovic seedorf he was my secret weapon he was so fast and strong
2:47 i rate him as good as Zizou. He’s better than many people who we consider legends: Vieira, Toure, Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham etc
