A white hat hacker, with over 30 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst at a major Silicon Valley company, talks about why he turned his back on black hat hacking for the greater good.
He talks about the reality of just how vulnerable our systems really are - from the very real threat of hackers taking the American power grid or medical facilities offline, to how easily accessible our private information is to anyone with WiFi and some time on their hands.

That's also a mask brother. Its temporary tattoo,
To all the folks laughing at this dude's lack of anonymity - have you considered that maybe he doesn't care and he had to wear the mask to keep the edgy tone of this series?
exactly, these people are so dumb, the mask is just for the series and hes a white hat hacker, our government fucking loves those.
Yeah man he’s a white hat. It’s not like he’s actually doing anything illegal. He’s just snooping.
Also, he may have wanted to show himself to gain a higher profile and make it harder for him to be silenced whether by ruining him financially/livelihood or something more drastic. Whether a person or group that would silence him would care that he is higher profile or not is irrelevant, all that matters is he believes it. His thought process may be "If I say 'someone will try to harm or kill me and I am hurt or killed, it proves I'm right so they won't do it."
he's a dream stan thats why

I remember hearing about an interview YEARS ago, where they interviewed a hacker, and they asked him, if you wanted to crippe the US what would you go after (expecting the answer to be military etc) and the response was, Id go after the water. Dams, resevoirs, things like that. He was like you can cripple a country in days if they have no access to water.
The people are too busy thinking of this is something simply just a story. I don't think half of the people that are watching this even remotely believe this s*** is or has been and still is happening to us today. That's the sad reality, but then again most of you people are supposed to be educated. I was not one of the lucky ones to be able to be so highly educated. I was in special Ed. I got cheated out of that but guess what? I still have my common sense. My critical thinking they didn't screw me out of that like they screwed all you so-called educated people out of yours and I have to say I would. Rather be standing next to another uneducated academically educated person. Like you guys then to be next to a person like me. Who's under educated in the academic world? Because you clearly lost yourself. Some critical thinking and some common sense. I know this because I work at a college and let me tell you. You people are dumber than boxes of freakin rocks, and you actually pay for your dumbing down. How smart do you feel now?

@Floating Battalyst why sit in a dark room with only a chair and very intentional lighting? It's all by design. More people will watch if it's filmed in this style and the person talking is wearing a mask. No one wants to see some random guy telling someone else's story in a well it room.

Being in San Diego during the ransomware attack of Scripps Health completely opened my eyes to how vulnerable healthcare organizations are. There were people who needed chemo treatments and surgical procedures who had to reschedule and further deteriorate their health because they weren’t even able to pull up their medical record history including allergies, diagnosis, etc. I totally understand why info sec is one of the top invested areas in healthcare now, but with the core tech itself being still so far behind in architecture modernization, these orgs will continue to struggle in the race to secure their systems
and yet it should be a helpful lesson...take better care of yourself in case.
Yes there are solutions but it will take time
you can't secure it, you can only make it annoying for the hacker.
People make it easy. During the plandamic ppl were BEGGING to have their personal information outted. Tracked. Only I think you're a fool if you think these are just simply stories. Dude, I think you need to look at these like it's really happening or has been happening for many many decades, it's I think everybody that sees this needs to take it seriously, especially considering what's happening today, and it's only gonna get worse, so if you don't take me seriously. Doing cyber security in enterprise environments, my biggest fear is consumer electronics. It creates a mentality that you just go down to the store or go online and buy whatever the manipulative marketing seduces you to believe make you a happily addicted consumer, and then get it home and you'll be up and running in no time. ~~~ Executives come around and say "here look, I want this for everybody at work." Security people then say: "that's not enterprise-grade technology, and is a nightmare to manage from a security perspective." They say: "make it work anyway." So, we get our risk-management group to write up a risk acceptance document for the executives to sign and tell them to get ready to testify before congress. Unfortunately, not all corporations have risk management for cyber security, and some executives are going to be awfully surprised when they get a congressional subpoena.
That’s where the good people would interject and say no for everyone’s benefit. Sadly that’s not how it works though
Very true
