He can't deny her request to see the supervisor, Coco should've gotten the supervisor herself, I would've and I wouldn't have played another point until I saw the supervisor that's ridiculous. Good she won.
This is how someone who is trained as an Umpire in this area behaves? Has he got that position to have two different rules? This person was very unprofessional and caused undue stress to this reasonable and respectful young lady. He needs more training on the rules and facts of tennis before he umpire or line judge any more match. Furthermore. It is at his peril that he thinks he knows it all and has nothing to learn. An overseer or supervisor should have interviened to prevent this player arguing her heart out for her rights to be heard and actions as required under the tennis rules and guidance. Saying all that; well done Coco for standing up for what is blatantly right in the sight of fans and viewers across the globe. Good job❤
Props to Coco for keep her composure and winning the match anyway. The umpire stuffed up and should have given Coco the point or at least called the supervisor. Pliskova should have done the right thing… she knew it was called out after but stayed silent. Not cool.

The call came after the hit. Pliskova's play on the ball went into the net, meaning she lost the damn point. The call was wrong and Coco was right. Sorry this upsets you. Learn the rules of tennis. @@joe-mn9rr
Umpires like Frenchman Pierre Bacchi is why we have the Hawkeye system in tennis. Everyone should email the WTA and demand that he be fired for bias and incompetence.

How many poor umpires does Coco have to endure ? I hope these people are just not good at their jobs rather than racist in their attitudes . I suspect it’s the former, in which case they should not be umpiring at such a high level .
Can someone please explain and not trying to come off a certain way but why is he overriding Hawkeye?? I thought Hawkeye was in place so that umpires/judges wouldn’t have to make judgmental calls? ..like I’m pretty positive if it was called out Hawkeye would have called it right?

Umpires are starting off with “For me it was…” like a disclaimer to say it was ok if I was wrong.
What surprises me about this is that the supervisor himself, or herself, didn't show up during this argument. Do they really need a telephone call? Aren't they keeping watch on the game? This is really so bizzare, I just don't know what to make of it.

How is it a let? The ball didn’t touch the net and Pliskova missed the return. He made the call after pliskova already made contact with the ball.
You really should delete this comment haha, in no way is it a let. Pliskova hit the ball way before the out call, so she played the ball. If the ball went over the net it would have been a replay as the umpires out call would stop play. But her ball didn’t go back over the net! You need to learn the rules.
