World's best value SUV. Hyundai Tucson 2023 Review.
This is the latest leasing.com UK car review, this time of the Hyundai Tucson with Howard Ritchie, and in this review we discover all you need to know about the Tucson in the shortest possible time. We call it the Five Minute Verdict.
Quiet, spacious, comfortable and well specified, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson is a hidden gem in the exceptionally crowded crossover SUV market space. Its sister car the Kia Sportage and arch rival the Nissan Qashqai are both good family cars, but the Hyundai Tucson takes things to another level. With a stunning space-age design, premium-feeling interior and class-leading practicality, for its price point the Tucson really can’t be beaten and you will find out in this review why.
The car available as a mild-hybrid, self-charging hybrid and even a plug-in, the Tucson’s engine line-up has all bases covered. But just what is it that makes it stand out from the competition (aside from those handsome parametric headlights)? Howard Ritchie investigates what makes the Tucson a stand-out choice.

TRUTH QUIZ: TUSCON OR SPORTAGE FOR YOU?
None of the above, a second hand X3 to the same value, moving on.
@@Tek-eq4icbuy one for half the price, you’ll need the rest of the cash to keep fixing it 😉
@@mrbigvanlife7130maybe in the us with your crap quality control, in europe Hyundai is pretty much durable they don't break.
I bought the Tucson N line in red,22 reg, it is a fantastic car and soooo comfortable, definitely a keeper this one.
I think the Tucson has more character and looks higher class inside and out. They both blow away the competition regardless.
They are nice. Popular for a good reason. My wife likes it a lot. Only criticism I have is the indicator lights at the rear of the vehicle are positioned in the lower bumper and look a bit cheap. I would have liked the indicators to be LED items, integrated into the rear LED brake lights. Nice car overall though and great review as always Mr Ritchie.
Im buying a 2024 Tucson 2.5L full option next week. My only gripe is i wanted one in bronze, but after waiting for 2 months, these guys offered me one in white or silver. I booked the white instantly!
Another great review Howard. Thank you
4 months with my new Tucson phev Style and I am the happiest man in the world. Fantastic comfort, equipment and looking forward to driving it all day
Manual or dct?
@@Anton-. Hi! Tucson phev Style is automatic but you also have the option of driving with paddles on the steering wheel to change gears. Plus 4 wheel drive. Regards
@@Alexander-jn3ek I have the automatic too but the mild hybrid 150hp. I think I would prefer it to be manual as I guess I am loosing the magic of driving! It is an exceptional car though! Enjoy it!
@@Anton-. Thank you. I don't miss manual driving, I don't use it. Too many years of driving and now I can finally do it much more relaxed. Greetings
Loved the review, thank you!
Great review as always Howard
Keep up the great work 🙏👍🏼
Love your review, always bring me smile!!
I recently bought a 2023 Hyundai Tucson 230 self charging hybrid ultimate and I’m loving more each time I drive it. It is a wonderful car
if itsv self chaging whatbisv the mpg ?
Tucson by far!! I bought it 6 months ago and I am more than happy about it! The only flaw is the petrol consumption but it has the same engine as the sportage. Definitely the best value for money suv out there and very good looking too!
How big is fuel consumption?
@@fiumeebasta3612 around 8.7 lt.
@@Anton-. Thanks
@@fiumeebasta3612 my hev does 5.2l/100km, 54 mpg uk, 45 mpg us
I’ve had an N Line plug in for 3 months. Like: nippy, 49mpg, looks snappy. Dislike: slow touch screen reactions, keeps losing my charging schedule. Overall I’m very happy though 😊
It has class and it has function that's why it's worth it,value depends upon how it is driven and who drives it✌️
Fantastic car and review
I Waited since 18th November 2022 up until April 21st 2023 , it was well worth the wait even the bits that niggle me with the car , don’t really bother me , it’s so bloody comfortable, compared to the Volvo xc40 I was trapped into leasing for 3 years , the seating is to die for comparatively speaking And it feels like it sticks to the road when going around bends , i got a plug in hybrid, I’m not sure if it’s the way I use it or the car itself but it eats electric and petrol, but I don’t care because I’m in so much comfort 😁
Pick my PHEV Ultimate up on Monday. Quite excited!
I got mine 21st April , i was a Volvo addict not anymore
These Asian car companies looked at what European car companies do... _And threw away the rule book._ They're now making brand new _"averagely priced"_ vehicles for the same price of a 2nd or 3rd hand, 5 year old European car. However... They'll all come with the newest, modern technology and great styling too. Plus, they'll also have those great guarantees that a 5 year old car, won't. Another great video by *_The God of KZhead Motoring Videos,_* Howard Ritchie ;-))...
OMG. for 1 minute i thought he's the Car Wow guy LOL!
In malaysia The Tucson is way more expensive than Mazda CX5. And it doesn't comes with 360 and side mirror camera.
Navigation volume control
Is this hybrid?
I'm still really unsure between this and the Sportage :(
Sportage more tech - Tucson better ride.
I had the sportage, i sold it after 2 months, ride quality was more tuned towards sporty driving. Now I’m thinking about Tucson.
Kuga is a better drive but the new sportage has a more Interesting design. All down to the Individual and each a great car in their own right I think
Does not come with a HUD in any model, same for the Sportage. Baffling as you get everything else.
Hyundai in USA has 1 hundred year warranty
The side makes it look like the Tucson comes pre crashed.
"He didn't like the stereo"? Please explain.
Wrong guy to ask. He’s a fussy audio type.
The stereo in the ultimate Tucson ROCKS
Front grille/headlights better on the Tucson, Sportage has too weird of a face
Thank you for supporting Ukraine!
Sadly the square type wheel arch, put me off it
I thing the Sportage looks a lot better.
Wow just super best car. You kidding right? It is cheep car and breaks all the time

Design Language! Today's description of an over styled mess.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, avoid. The reviewer is , well, a bit biase. Drivetrains underpowered to save costs and not seen enough time on the road to indicate issues with them long-term. We know the history of Hyundai/Kia , warranty claims need to be battled in court, not to mention all the faults and problems with electrical, drivetrain and rattling plastics in the cabin. Seats are comfy for large adults...lol. Research well before you buy any of the offerings of both companies. The old saying still stands, " buyer beware" even more for the Korean car industry. Best Value SUV in its segment, yes, the cheapest. The World NOT. Look at some of the new Chinese offering. Warranty and big depreciation issues. No HUD, think safety.
china? 😂😂😂😂😂
