  • I've been a helicopter pilot for nearly 25 years and I'm very familiar with how loud they are inside. I'm actually really surprised that you can hear the boats that well over the noise of what sounds to me like a Bell 206.

    @Prototheria@Prototheria2 ай бұрын
    • Well spoted, but to avoid chopper sound you Need to use directionnel microphone. Cardioid Cardioid microphones pick up sound from only one direction; from in front of the microphone. This means that they are very effective for interviews or performances in loud places, where ambient sound needs to be cancelled out in favor of the interviewee or performer.

    • @@wms1650 Thanks for your your words, in the early 80', I have had a 90 6 cyl also, called tower of power, Your twin's mercury were probably a pair of 115 vertical 6cyl , very thirsty engines like the 90 and the 140 of the same series. • I have one of those engines, built, machined, race ignition, lower unit, just sitting in my garage sleeping for the past 5 yrs. when i remove the side plates on the lower unit. It sounds like a 454 big block drag engine on meth idling. just incredible. I should clarify. Its sitting on the back of my very rare mint condition 1988 Stratos 200 VT Rocket designed by Roark Summerford himself. I also have one of Roarks 1986 STV Pro Comp Sprint bottoms with stepped sponsons. Thats one of the rare 400 lb light weight hulls he built. That boat holds one of Jon Wrights worlds fastest Mercury 2.5 boat engines out of Tinker Toy. World record of 156mph in 1,000ft I believe was the distance.
