Charles was simply holding the belt for Islam. I'd like to see Justin fight him again after Islam wins. Khabibs father is like that mystical secret teacher. Humble and knowledgeable. It will be hard for his son too compete with passing down this knowledge with all the extra fame they have acquired. Jet setting interviews businesses etc. When a man dedicates his entire life to teaching it’s truly special. We will probably never see something like this again from daghastan. Fighters are a dime dozen but a knowledgeable dedicated teacher is one in a million. Eventually we will see another far off country emerge from the dark with some spectacular style of fighting and it will be great but right now we need to bask in the glory of the things we have been privileged to witness in the mma world.

  • This fight meant a lot for Khabib’s legacy. If Charles had won many people would have used this against Khabib’s goat status. But now this result only adds to his status. No one’s gunna say Charles would have beaten Khabib now.
