THIS WAS a poor video this is an echo chamber, you should try having diverse voices, actually if you are black and you are less likely to get a job even when you are uber qualified.
I think that accent discrimination is a universal truth not just a London thing.
"dont have left wing bias" Every single american tech company is over 95% leftists so that statement is untrue, unless you dont consider Computer Science as scientific and completely Truth / Logic based. Then again, there's left and there's that crazy "woke left"
DEI - Didn’t Earn It
Great comment, gave me a laugh. I must remember it as it deserves repeating!
Who didn't earn it ??

@Metaphix And were are these people, can you point them out. Have you ever met or worked with one ?
@@ashlibabbittcroakedit9108😂🙈🙉🤡
DEI is racism. My company will never implement this racism. We hire merit based period.
But do you also send out "Thanks for trying" badges to the runners up?😂
If only they'd spent all those diversity officers salaries on apprenticeship courses instead, that's the only way to give people a legitimate leg up.
In Marxist terms tradespeople own the means of production. They don't like the working class enjoying that level of freedom.
Yes!
Agreed but again I don’t want apprenticeships handed out based on race either.
That sounds like racism to me?
I have always been impressed by Mercy. She doesn't need DEI.
Neither does anyone else if they have ability and make the effort. All Wokeness is false solutions built on foundations of BS.
Because it was never about skin colour, it was about talent. She has real talent, and doesn't need to rely on arbitrary metrics to suceed.
Seems a tad naive if she thinks you can just be brave. There are consequences. Didn’t impress me.
@@davecarson3D You should quit your job so that a DEI candidate can have it.
She's beautiful BTW
This young lady is not only exceptionally beautiful but extremely intelligent and we need more like her on TV speaking sense
Her looks are irrelevant. Why on earth do men like you feel the need to bang on about a woman's looks? You completely undermine the message of this video. Looks are as irrelevant as DEI.
She is 100% correct on everything she said. 👏👏👏 I work for a very large historically senior organisation within the public sector as a photographer and often I am ordered to take images of diversity. I’ve even had a subject say to me when I approached her for photographic consent, “let me guess…diversity and inclusion.” I felt utterly embarrassed and racist for being forced to seek out individuals of a different melanin, in the name of “positive” discrimination. Which is just plain discrimination. It’s poisoned from the top and is just out and out virtue signalling, which in itself is negative. To have that negative process embed itself and grow like a tumour is everything that is wrong in modern society.
glad to see your not just joining in. you need to get yourself a trust fund and roar the company name out loud
I have the same experience while working for one of the largest non-government organisations in the world - for photography but also for graphic design I am told not to use photos of white people in teaching positions to ethnic students (even though the majority of the lecturers are white) or to change the photo in the report cover because “non-white people are better” and if I do happen to use a good photo where someone happens to be white and I don’t even realise, I receive comments and am told to change. Everytime someone complains also about the management team being “so white” I cringe so hard inside
She should be prime minister. And a supermodel.
I wouldn’t kick her out of bed plus she’s very articulate
Simps gonna simp brah.
Agreed!
yeah , very beautiful looking for a black... is that statement racist? : ))) she probably looks nice, because takes care of herself, not fat, can dress feminine and is feminine.. probably conservative (not sure.. as ex DEI person, i guess not conservative?) ... i guess my comparrison is just US fat angry black women.. so ...

£40,000 a year for fluff. The initial pay for infantry soldiers after training is around £18,000 a year, and they are expected to die for their country if called on to do so.
Infantry soldiers ain’t that bright, though. Hence that situation. Anyone who signs up and has no clue that they’re throwing their lives away for one corp, or another, won’t be respected. It’s the order of things.
@user-fd7ju5sb6b Not necessarily mate. Many (not all) are just young, don't suit school or academia at that age and are full of piss and vinegar. Adventure and a chance to prove yourself are tempting as a 17-20 year old kid, particularly when you're from a background that values the military. Not tooting my own horn here, but I joined the Royal Marines in 2011 (discharged on a medical midway through training, which was a bugger, gutted at the time but life goes on), a decade and a half later I've got a Masters in Biology. I know a fair few lads in a similar situation. A bloke I knew as a kid in cadets went from a general duties marine to a pilot officer in the Commando Helicopter Force. They tend not to give idiots rifles, at least not in the RM anyway.

I've just started a new job as a support worker for adults with autism. On my induction they asked me to read through the company policies. The policy on autism was 9 or 10 pages long (hardly unreasonable given the nature of the role and environment). No lie, I got to the diversity and inclusion policy... It was around 120 pages long. I just found that to be absolute madness. 🤦 Welcome to Britain 2024 I guess...
Friend of mine, a Muslim, was sacked from his job in 2017. Some blue haired land whale in his office made a remark about the movie “Fantastic Beasts and where to find them” (which I’ve not seen). She was saying how excited she was about seeing a gay romance or something, referring to Dumbledore and some other guy. Anyway. As a Muslim, he simply said he wasn’t too keen on it. Next thing he knows, he’s pulled into an office by some HR jobsworth and told “you can’t work in marketing for this organisation if you hold those beliefs” and sacked him. Fascinating how the woke folk get to cherry pick which protected characteristics are important to them on the fly 🤔
And I bet the first 60 pages contradicted the second 60 pages. Those unconscious bias things are another waste. They will say you have an unconscious bias against yourself, if that's what it is programmed to do. The real problem is there are too many Chiefs, not enough ... I can't finish that sentence now, or I could get a real one 😂
@CursedWheelieBin I'm not that fussed on watching that either, not because of the story. It just sounds gash, from the title. I hope your friend took them to court for wrongful dismissal, discrimination etc. Play them at their own game.

She was one of the main presenters on GB News until about a year ago. I don't know why she left but wish she hadn't.
She's an amazing beauty!
Those finding this lady spent on in 2 years, I would have told her for free many years ago. I am also an emigrant in Australia and lived here for over 50 years. Was I discriminated against when I came?? Yes and I am a white European, but I didn't cry, I didn't complain. In one year I learned English. I fully assimilated and didn't bring my religion or political garbage with me. I worked hard, two jobs most of the time and in 6 years I had a deposit for my house. I am 74yo now and have never seen so much racism as I see now, against white people, in my life. DEI is destroying western values and our society
R.I.P. Common sense
DEI is a complete waste of money and has no purpose!
it has a purpose just not a good one , just another form of divide and conquer
You clearly have no idea how Woke-Marxism works to dismantle our culture.
"DEI is a complete waste of money and has no purpose!" Oh, it has a purpose, alright. In fact, if you re-read the sentence you wrote, you might realize what that purpose is.
Well it has a purpose but its not in our interest
oh it DOES have a purpose ! To divide people who previously got on with each other into "intersecting oppressed groups" who are forced into CONFLICT with each other, the backlash that Mercy spoke of now happening. Marxism is a CONFLICT theory and cannot gain traction WITHOUT that conflict. DEI is yet another Trojan Horse FOR that vile, insidious "critical theory"

She shouldn't be anywhere near power, let alone PM

Massive problem in organisations in the UK I am afraid.
We’ve all set our Outlook inboxes to auto-send DEI emails straight to the recycling bin 🗑️ where they belong. Several people have rotated in and out of the DEI officer role in our organisation because it’s a Mickey Mouse placeholder job that’s all risk and zero reward, to everybody involved.
Yep, and in particular the charity sector! They’re all as woke as fuck.
Don't be afraid, that's what the organisations want.
Mercy, I miss you on GB news.xx
All the great talent either left or was forced out of GB News. Now it's a soulless MSM copycat. I started distrusting it after Mark was pushed out, then stopped watching after the free speech trio was forced out. I don't see GB News lasting much longer. Boris was going to do a show on there, and no sign of him, probably backed out.
You do realise they are constantly fighting the ofcom wolf at the door? They can only push back so much before lefty officals find an excuse to close them.
"We all want equality...." That will NEVER happen. People are NOT " equal".
Equality of opportunity. Not the same thing.
The backlash is sadly real but has become deserved. DEI positively discriminates against the white working classes. Mercy Muroki speaks so much sense for such a young woman.
DEI has increased discrimination from every aspect. For many who have never seen race we do now. And many white people feel marginalised. It's made things 100% worse . Morgan freeman has said to stop racialism stop talking about race. Let's not have a race to the bottom . The best person for the job regardless of colour or creed or race.
There is no positive discrimination. Its only the side you take makes you think its "positive"

There is a massive amount of class discrimination up in the north east. I experienced it for the first half of my working life growing up in Blyth. Blyth is associated with mass unemployment and substance abuse. The same goes for Ashington and Bedlington. Public transport has been terrible for decades and most people will move away from the town to escape the stigma. I was one of those people. I'm now back in Blyth working at a local school and I don't want the teenagers whose education I'm responsible for to suffer the same prejudice that I experienced as a young adult. We have a long way to go.
Indeed. Couldn't agree more. Although not a native, I work in Blyth (and have done for many years) and have many friends there. I often wonder who's speaking up for the working class in the north, you know, the ones that built this country and paid the ultimate price defending it.
🙋♂ The job of DEI officers is to find ways to justify their positions and make themselves relevant.
Kind of like HR. Solutions looking for a problem that does not exist.
The problem is irreversible. My old company, started on it DEI hiring 20-25 years go with affirmative action. The rush to get more women, then get more minorities, into positions they were not qualified for. Then make them managers too quickly. So, for past 15 years, staff lack ability, knowledge because their managers lack ability and knowledge. Now I do contractor work for this same company, doing work that should have been done years ago, because of the lack of people who know their job.
Exactly what I’m experiencing.
Is that in UK?
I know organisations in the UK just like this now. And aside from people who are just not the best candidate (and who have entirely bought into DEI too) now being in positions of authority and this compounding the problem, they also genuinely think they're the best person for the job. They have had their egos filled with DEI garbage, and with the better people not being there to guide them or support them, they genuinely think they're the bees knees, and that is genuinely scary. The UK has across the board because the land of the blind where the one-eyed woman is king. And on the odd occasion where people like this lose their job or lose out to a man or someone with less DEI points than them, they of course blame it all on 'misogyny' or 'racism' or some other 'ism' that allows them to ignore the fact they simply just aren't the best person for the job. The UK is gonig to hell in a hand basket with all of this DEI, affirmative action and gender quotas. Unless the best person gets the job, unless the country runs as a meritocracy, it'll become a complete mess...and when that mess inevitably happens, we all know who'll be blamed for it. Just look at Scotland where Nicola Sturgeon turned out to be the most inept First Minister in history and who does she blame? Men and 'misogyny'. Yes, her wholesale failure to deliver policy after policy isn't because she's incompetent and has put divisive identity politics ahead of competent government, according to her it's all the fault of the big bad boogie MEN. And as other examples of DEI crumble, they'll all be blaming the very people they discriminated against. If there's one thing that DEI lacks it's accountability.
This woman is spot on.
Oh I love her. She's so beautiful. Why she leave GB news. But then again I hear it's messed up over there.

I work for a large tech company and it's full of DEI wokeness. So much so, we now have a competency crisis. People are hired because of DEI and can't do the job, don't have the skills and don't fit. That said, I've joined every DEI council and sabotage it from the inside. Recently, I got them believing citing micro aggressions is a micro aggression.

KK makes a good point - you can have people with diverse views on social and political issues working together as long as they are committed to the mission of the organization they work for. It can be done.
It has been done…..throughout history
I do feel like the constant bombardment of diversity and inclusion upon people encourages you to see differences/ that people different from oneself as 'other', rather than the similarities that we all share! It feels very wrong and counter-productive to me. Most of my friends are from other 'cultures' yet i have more in common with them than people from my own culture. I don't like being encouraged to see people as 'other'. ☹️
But surely being different is only a problem if you see difference as a bad thing? Not saying you do, by the way. Most black people I know cringe when they hear white people say things like "I don't even notice colour!" because it's a lie. We all notice colour and it's not a problem to acknowledge it. The problem lies when people think one race is more superior to another.
Totally agree rather than see what divides us we should see what we have in common with each other . Regardless we are all human with all the fears and anxieties that are present in all human beings
Yeah a lotta my pals are Muslim, not by choice. It just turned out that way because we have so much in common and we all get along so well. I was raised as a catholic but lost my faith in my teens. Whenever I’m offline, away from internet craziness, the noise dies down and you do find you’ve got more in common with people then these group identities that DEI muppets constantly bang on about
I share the sentiment. I'm a fairly new immigrant to Canada (8 years here). I'm witnessing daily that the DEI policies, an absolute lack of expectations for assimilation of new immigrants, and the new religion of "multiculturalism" do nothing but divide people. People come here, and instead of adopting the new culture, way of life, sense of community, values, the new Canadian identity that would tie them to other new compatriots etc., everyone stays in their own tiny (sometimes not that tiny) bubble of their own ethnic and/or religious background and hardly ever mingle with people outside.

The public sector is notorious for wasting money while not properly implementing anything, all the while pompously and condescendingly talking down to the populous. Nothing new here.
'BBC' springs to mind instantly.
The problem with the public sector is it depends on never solving anything. For example if you work for a sector formed to eradicate cockroaches in public housing, succeeding would see the sector closed, so your job is to ensure a constant supply of cockroaches in these houses.
@grannyannie2948 agreed. There is definitely an element of that, but I think it's also plain old bureaucratic incompetence coupled with the condescending notion that people can neither think nor decide for themselves what's best for them, and that they must be helped or told what's best, which simply isn't true, and to which many people respond with justified indignation, or just continue doing their own thing anyway. Discrimination is getting worse regardless of DEI, because many companies and industries now require somebody with a degree, which is ridiculous - a police officer, a nurse, an office manager... you don't need degrees for that. We need to incentivize on the job training.
What are you on about? You don’t need a degree for any of those roles 😂😂😂 You’re shoehorning in non-issues
@@CursedWheelieBin I don't know where you live, but here in Canada there actually is a degree required for nursing, a minimum of 2 years in college + certification exam, and there are also full degrees as Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 4 years in college, certification included in this degree. There is no way you can get a job in nursing without one of these two degrees, not even as medical receptionist who doesn't do anything technically medical but just books appointments (there's college for that as well). Also, try getting a job as office manager (admin assistant, or whatever it's called in different places) without a college/uni degree, even at positions where the job post officially requires secondary school diploma, and I'll applaud you. I work in that job, and have a BA degree from a University, and my colleagues all have uni/college diplomas, some even multiple. I suspect something similar must be happening in the UK too, and most probably in the larger cities in the US. So maybe not ridiculing people for mentioning actual issues might not be a bad idea.
