i went 4wdriving with my outlander exceed under 45deg c heat and i had this similar issue. I got stuck in the sand and had another vehicle pull me out. The dashboard had multiple errors. I turned it off and we just camped at that spot on the beach. I removed and reconnected the battery to try and see if the errors reset but no go. mate of mine tried checking error codes but only came up with a Fault Cluster sensor error or something like that, could not erase the error code. turned on the next day and still had multiple errors, BWS, 4WD service, FCM, LDW, hand brake etc. I tried driving and 4wd engaged, i was able to get off the beach and back to pavement. I kept driving after inflating my tyres and after about 3kms of driving, the errors went away except for an engine light that turned on. Mate of mine cleared the engine light and it went away. So far so good now. Apparently it's a common issue with CVTs where transmissions get overheated when 4wdriving in auto mode.
Go to a diffrent Mitsubishi dealer. You should have a warranty. They have to fix your car for free. It sounds like the dealer you went to did not do their job correctly. If you are in a warranty you also get a free rental car. Its in the owners manual.
My lancer cvt acts up too, get rid of the car like I did, it will only get worse

It’s the battery I had the same problem . When you have a weak battery it affects your cvt transmission . 100 percent sure

Can you please confirm this is the case? I am having the same issue with high rpm's (like transmission is slipping) only when the car is fully warmed up. I don't get any errors on my dash board until I keep driving it even after the slip and then I get the "SLOW DOWN TRANSMISSION IS OVERHEATING" message. I have been trying to figure this out for an entire year and I haven't found a solution yet. There are no transmission codes, the only codes I get are bad 02 sensor codes. Any response would be cherished, as I have been trying to find a solution for a year solid and have sunk many dollars into this car trying to fix it.

Changing the fluid won’t fix a thing… Mitsubishi get their transmissions from Nissan. If I were you, sell the car. A new transmission will run you about 8 thousand dollars. Stay away from cvt period, Toyota is the only company who make a halfway decent one.

Pero yo no puedo ni quitar ni agregar nada porque pierdo la supuesta garantía hasta un cargador que compre para mi celular me dijeron que no puedo conectar en el encendedor de cigarrillo supuestamente porque es una transmisión eléctrica ya le e dejado el veiculo más de una ves hasta por una semana y no pueden resolver el problema y Mitsubishi solo me ace perder tiempo y diaz de trabajar cada vez que selo llevo

@@davidfernandezo.4410 el tipo de transmisión no me interesan si no me causa problemas. Yo e hablando con Mitsubishi para que se queden con el carro pero no quieren en cuanto a demandarlos tengo varios meses pensandolo

como no vi antes este video, yo compre una y tambien me esta dando problemas en la transmisión, es una porquería outlander mitsubishi, it really sucks! no compren estos vehiculos nunca!
Tengo una desde el 2015 y nunca me ha dado problemas porque le hago el mantenimiento de la transmisión estos carros hay que cambiar el aceite de la transmisión cada 30 mil millas y manejar adecuadamente.
