The film had too much down time and little stakes. A forgettable and completely incompetent villain and side characters that I had no regard for whatsoever. (The cia agent with blonde hair was pointless). The first two films are solid. This was typical threequel that was phoned in. Just because it’s set in Italy y’all wet your pants. Go watch the first two films again and watch this one and you’ll see. It’s by far the weakest. I was expecting so much more.

  • All throughout the movie you got the sense that McCall was hesitant to become THAT GUY again because each time he goes "there", I think he fears he might NOT find his way back. In the end, he realizes that he has to meet evil head not, but he hangs on, he clings to the people around him who stir his humanity, who strengthen his virtue...they are his way...his reason to come back. At the beginning of the movie, McCall seemed like he was resigned to dying as THAT guy...whom peace always eluded.
