with all the shop fires recently it is a bit worrying although it was a funny scene and wasn't like super dangerous. just weirds me out seeing fire in a shop right now
I'd did something similar a few days ago in my garden checking for spark on a generator. Forgot about the 4/5 litres of petrol beside it and went up in flames.

Love this kind of content. I enjoy all the Nürburgring trips and other things we typically see on the main channel, but I think we need more of this fixing up old abandoned cars, with a low key vibe. It's so nice watching the process of giving an abandoned gem like that 7 series a new lease of life. I understand the big deal stuff gets more clicks, but I believe I'm right in saying this is exactly what the true fans want!
These Taylor fronted episodes on the V2 channel are so good! A complete change of pace from Alex and a truly great watch, more please 👍🏼
Definitely want to see more videos of Taylor actually working on stuff. Buying cars is good and I enjoy the longer roadtrips, but the mechanical / restoration side is also interesting and he's a great presenter.

what i can tell is that thing is pretty easy to get it going again~~it's a relatively simple L-jetronic system and just make sure the AFM wasnt jammed and replace the fuel pump and check the ignition system then youre good to go.mine has run for 41 years and still going strong.
Holy moly this format is super watchable and I hate to say it better than half the main Chanel stuff.

Gotta love an E23. I remember working on one back in the day that came over from Canada with nearly 250,000 miles on it.
Hanging out to see that Undertray :-) I have a few cars............ Well more than a few, Mainly Euros and mostly outside and 90% of them a runners, Pro tip. Store cars with the Bonnet up 8 or so inches, Keeps vermin from nesting in the bay and I also Pop a bait block on the drivers floor and in the engine bay and I check them a few times a year when I fire the cars up and run them, through a few heat cycles.

Taylor, when doing voice over, please check the quality of the mic you're using. Big difference in quality between when you're on screen with the collar mic (good clear sound) and offscreen voice overing (muffled 28 bit noise)
Love this new purchase!! My dad had 2 e23's, a 728i followed by a 735i. Both 85 cars. Glorious barges to be chauffeured round in as a 12 year old.
This is brilliant... We have two e23s currently at ATB, a 732i and 728i both super original and we love the e23... Hoping to take one of them to the 7 series event on 7th July-2024

I went to the London motor show as a child in the 70,s and my dad nearly bought one of these! I still have the original BMW brochure along with Mercedes brochures and also various BL brochures from there. I’m now nearly 60! All brochures are just about mint as well.

11:30, again, those aren't jacking points on BMWs, if you jack the car from there the metal will separate and thats how the rust starts in the footwell corners. Just an FYI in case any owners are watching.

Rear nearside tire, Michelin MXV, had these on the back of my 1980 Auto 728i in 1990, 195/70/14's trying to lay down 180bhp-ish and 170ilbs plus of torque, I spent more time looking out the side windows than the front screen.

Yeah, about those tires, they are the special Michelin TRX tires, they where made for high performance cars (think ferrari, lambos, fast bimmers and mercs, but also the Citroen CX GTI) they made those tires not in inch sizes, but in mm sizes, (for example, not a 15 inch rim but a 390mm rim, witch is about 15.3 inches). They started making these tires again, but they are idioticly expensive. (£400 a pop) But they drive fantastic with new ones

The M30 and M20s always roll over and starts even if they have stood for a very long time, they are pretty amazing like that.
