I have watched too many Rome videos as I am travelling there next week, but this is so far, the best, most informative, and 'not' boring travel video. Well done and thank you! :)
Thank you for the lovely comment. See you in Rome
I’m totally agree with you!!!
I agree! I am going may 2024. This has been the best one
When you get to Terminal Roma, go downstairs. There will be a newsstand in the corner. Go by at least 10 bus tickets. They probably cost around 2 euros. These will get you where you want to go, and if you get lost, can bring you back the main terminal. Public transportation is amazing there and cleaner and way cheaper that a cab.
It was my first time there, and we were using the bus to get around. Make sure to learn the bus routes and get the free map they give you. I got on the wrong bus, and it took the wife and I two miles out of town and told us to get off. It was a beautiful two mile walk back. Kids were playing in the street, and folks were very friendly us. It's a great city!
I live in Rome. I see these places every day of my life. Yet I watch this. Why? Beacause it's good content.
Wow. This is a huge compliment. Thanks for taking the time to leave this comment.
@@TheTourGuyVids Not just good content, useful too! I'm glad you're educating tourists on how see the most interesting places while avoiding standing in lines and clogging up the streets.
are his food recs good? if not, can you recommend some local food spots? thanks!
@@brunomillalaf8553 The food recs are good, no doubt, but there are also some other of my favourite places: Pizzeria "Il Nuovo Mondo". Extremely good, I grew up eating there, also an extremely un-touristy spot. Also cheap as hell. Trattoria "La Torricella". A bit more expensive, great seafood. Risotrante "Cuccuruccù". One of the most famous across central Rome. Also great views of the river (possibly the prettiest spot of the toxic waste pool that is the Tiber). Also make sure to stop by a by one of the hundreds of "al taglio" pizzerias (you may find them all across Rome). Have fun!
We did our Rome in a day tour with this company on September 4, 2023 our guide for the tour Michele was the best tour guide ever! Outstanding, in every way, I highly recommend this tour for anyone be ready to walk and enjoy!!

Thank you so much! You’ve made it so simple to understand and doable. I’ve been stressing so much trying to get this last minute planning. Really appreciate it. I was wondering, based on crowds…would it be better to visit the colosseum first or Trevi Fountain?
The Trevi fountain requires no ticket admission. Therefore you can visit it at 7am with few people

I'm now living Rome city 🥰
Bravo 👏🏼 Auguri
Thank you so much for this amazing video!! Very informative as I'm planning my Rome itinerary. Is it better to travel by metro or using the FreeNow taxi app?
Generally speaking, taxis are more efficient as the metro does go to major sites but is still limited.

It doesn’t shut down, everyone just goes on vacation and cities like Rome are empty of locals.
@@TheTourGuyVids thank you for reply
I always suggest people take an overview tour their first day in Rome. They see most of the bucket list things and ca. relax and enjoy the rest of their time there. But having only one day in Rome would be heartbreaking for me. 5 is a minimum, 7 is better.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
amazing

nice video but freenow has always beed added between 2 to 4 euros to me before the rides started, and regardless if you are making the line on the taxi stops or if you call from your hotel........for the rest I really enjoyed everything ...thanks for your info.
Hi from Scotland. Love your videos. The worst we saw was on the staircase at via magnanapoli 3/4 guys working together. 2 at either side of the bottom of the stairs one in the middle and one at the top. One guy at the bottom of the stairs asking for the time while the other creeps up behind you. We knew what was coming and continually said no while my husband made angry faces at them lol. They are stealing watches, phones, wallets while your distracted passing them up the stairs while the guy at the top of the stairs is no doubt running into a building or somewhere long before you make it to the top of the steps or even notice your items are gone. We avoided the stairs after that. I felt like we were constantly being stopped by guys with bracelets with the statement nice shoes man. It got to the point when they asserted ti say it and we would just start laughing at them. Beautiful city but the worst I’ve been to for scammers so far
Have you been to Barcelona? It’s the pickpocket capital of Europe.
Hi! This is by far the best video I’ve watched about Rome trip. I am a female Muslim solo traveler and though i initially wanted to explore Rome on my own but the coverage of your full day tour makes me wonder if i can do it on my own.🤔 I am going there on Feb 4 and i might book this tour on January 28. By the way, is the Carbonara always comes with a pork ingredient or can it be modified to seafood or chicken Carbonara? Thanks!
Yes Carbonara is always with pork and not halal. I don’t recommend asking to modify. Cacio e Pepe doesn’t contain pork. If you want to make it 💯easy for yourself book this tour. Then you can get all your questions answered, get your bearings, see all the things, and then decide what you want to explore deeper.
