You do an awesome job my friend...ty for sharing the treasure in and around the "Spanish steps"....the first time my wife and I were there, we couldn't wait to get away from the crowds.....this video gives a reason to go back to this area again on our upcoming trip to Italy in 2024...TY my friend!!!!!
Thanks so much Joseph! See you in Italy
Another amazing video! We couldn’t wait to sit down and watch it 🍷. Great job!! Thanks. Jeff n Michele (heading to Rome in September)
See you both soon! Happy travels and thank you
I love watching your videos. they are fun beautiful and delightful .
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
Pre-COVID, did 6 guided tours with The Tour Guy (July 2019), way exceeded my expectations and really fell in love with Italy on a much deeper level. They are very professional and customer service is absolutely superb. Watch all of their videos to grab some cool, off the beaten path restaurants, hotels, experiences. You really get a better understanding of the history by going on a guided trip. In all my travels to Europe, I feel I have not experienced the country on this level.
Thanks so much for your testimony and your kind thoughts. Happy Travels and we hope to see you again soon.
Amazing video! I'm going to Rome next month and I found this incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you
This was fantastic! My husband and I are going to Italy soon and Rome is one of our stops for 5 days. We will be staying in this neighborhood so I was thrilled to find your video. So we’ll done! I took lots of notes. 😊
Thanks so much. Don't forget to check out the links in the description

@@waqqefrahman7436 thetourguy.com/tours
We stayed at an amazing guesthouse at the top of the Spanish steps we had a balcony overlooking Rome it was beautiful
That’s fantastic! 👏🏼
@@TheTourGuyVids It was only 440 euros for 2 nights for the 2 of us
This makes me so hungry!
Time to eat! 🍕🍝🇮🇹
You are the best
Thanks 🙏🏼
INTERESSANTE
Hahahah thank you
Thanks for all the great videos --- especially the neighborhoods ones. I'm going to Rome in October --- my hotel is right next to the Spanish Steps. Wondering if that's too busy and maybe should reconsider Campo de Fiori or Piazza Navona areas instead? Traveling solo -- 76 --so not into the night life much anymore -- haha. Grazie mille!
It’s busy in the daytime but at night time or in the morning it’s not that busy. But ultimately the choice is yours and you should check out some of the other neighborhood videos
@@TheTourGuyVids Thanks! Will be watching more of your helpful and interesting videos.

Thank you very much 😃
The 2019 rule about the Spanish Steps.....love it. Now other people can enjoy the steps besides the street urchins blocking them all day.
Hotel Eden?! I'm impressed. It's supposed to be one of the very best hotels in Rome.
It’s hard to disagree with that sentiment
Wow. Was looking into staying at Hotel Eden in April but the price is almost $2,300/night. A not too pricey for me.
A 500-year-old restaurant in an ancient yet modern city? Now I'm dying to try some too!
That’s the great thing about Rome
We were in Rome and stayed at the Hassler. A month ago, we stayed at the code because it was new and, welp covid protocols.
Back in the day the Spanish steps were also used as a walkway, during the fashion week. Not sure if they still do that
That sounds amazing
Just to be precise, amatriciana is from Abruzzo. Amatrice itself has been part of Abruzzo until 1927.
Thnx
Oh, I meant to ask you if there are gluten free choices at the restaurants you mentioned in this video?
Rome does have more and more gluten-free options. They vary. But you can call or ask them via social media for “senza glutine”
Do you guys have tours in Spanish?
Some.of our guides may be able to do a.private your in Rome in Spanish.
Is the same fountain 7:20 those criminals vandalized after that football match?
I don’t know about that
Yes it is! It was vandalized in 2015 by Feyenoord football fans
I just looked this up 😳😤
Coming to Rome 5/8 and 5/9- are your tours taking folks into the Sistine Chapel. Should we do a morning tour or mid day? Which link can you connect me to to book a 3-4hr (1/2 day) group tour on Monday the 9th JIM

We look forward to seeing you on our tours!
I would love to work with you. Do you have a personal email to get in-touch?

I would have included Casina Valadier in this! An incredibly beautiful spot for dinner or drinks, sited at the entrance to the Borghese gardens, and you get a similar cross-city rooftop view to the Pincio view without having to jostle with other tourists. A limoncello at sunset on their balcony is one of the most lovely things you can do in Rome.
Oh oh also there’s a phenomenal little jazz bar tucked in one of the slope streets leading up to the top of the steps. Incredible food, great music and the bar staff are so sweet.
That’s more of an event space and has been closed every time I walk by
Ah that's a shame. I used to go there every time I was in town! Nothing nicer than reading on that balcony as the sun goes down. I guess they've changed their business model.
For sure the touristy restaurants suck, but it's a double edge sword because the good places that locals eat at treat foreigners like crap. I play it safe and eat every meal at McDonalds. Everyone is equal, and the food is good each time.
I’m sorry for you that you feel that way. Sounds like you’ve had bad experiences. The more you travel, the more you open yourself up to good experiences. Please travel more as I promise you that not all local restaurants treat foreigners like crap.
Mf looks like Tom skinner and buzz had a love child that was raised at la piazzetta delle regine
Meglio di Roma c'è solo Roma
Hidden gem, the biggest travel cliche 😀
Thanks for the original comment. 🤣 Never heard that one before.
@@TheTourGuyVids Try to be more original then
@@sontayatoemsook1266 have you been to all the places in the video?
@@TheTourGuyVids Yes, none are hidden
9:27 I saw hundreds of people sitting on the Spanish steps last week.
TxERdoc
I was enjoying the video until he sat down to eat both Cacio e Pepe and Pasta all'Amatriciana for the same meal. No one eats two pasta courses!
Don’t you think that was to show off to the camera two classic Roman kinds of pasta?
😂 it’s just a video
For money do evrthong. So Shame
I don’t know what you mean but Merry Christmas
everyone sits on the steps
Hate from la piazzetta delle regine
No matter how much time they spend in Italy, how much they engage with the locals, Americans refuse understandşng even the most basic local concepts like pronouncing the place and food names as if they are in American English. Teerameesou, Borgheezy, spaghiidy. You guys just don’t bother even listening to what those really sound like which to me is a subtle but serious type of disrespect.
Who hurt you? Are you okay?
@@TheTourGuyVids Nobody hurt me. That was a personal comment. Sorry for not caressing your soul with a magic feather.
