Canadian Couple Builds Their DREAM Home with HANDTOOLS! (Tiny Log Cabin in the Forest, FULL BUILD)
This Log Cabin Project is a dream that we have had for several years that we finally decided to make a reality. We have spent the past 2.5 years building this cabin from scratch and our goal has been to use only hand tools, no power tools. All of the logs were harvested from our property. This cabin will function fully off-grid and will be only accessible by foot. The cabin is finally in a state that we can live in, so we moved in and live here full time! There is still tons of work to be done on the cabin and on our property, so be sure to subscribe to follow our journey!

Well guys. I’m from the U.K., I’m 60 years old and I’ve just sat and watched this 2.5hr building marathon and couldn’t stop watching. You both should be extremely proud of what you’ve achieved here. Even your parents and families should be proud too. Nobody since a long era ago have built houses with hand tools. I admire you both for your stamina and the duration this build must have taken. Give yourselves a big pat on the back. I look forward to seeing the day you hear the laughter of children too, enjoying the fruits of your hard labour. Well done again guys
Ditto, I'm 61 from Northern Michigan. I do agree with you Julie, they should be very proud of their efforts and accomplishment. They remind me of "My Self Reliance", Shawn James' KZhead Channel. Truly amazing what a determined person can achieve, these people should be an inspiration to all of us.
@@hkguitar1984 I'm 81 from Oregon. Very nicely done, kids. I agree with the reference to Shawn James, been watching him for years.
@@tinwizard6447 👍😉
I have to ask where did you learn this skill? Very impressed with your work, both of you. I live in Canada and always wanted to build a log cabin.
I’m 60 and also enjoyed watching your video, you guys are amazing
I'm a retired 65 year old man and a master Carpenter, and I'm very impressed! Especially with hand tools and no power! I know talent and a gift when I see it! Unbelievable!
I could not agree more. I was a roofer most my life and I was a carpenter for a while, but just a stick framer. I didn't even do the Punch-Out work. As a Master Carpenter you're doing precise stuff that requires craftsmanship and taking carpentry to an artistic level. Not just throwing a bunch of 2x4's together like me when I was framing. You know what you're talkin about my grandfather was a master carpenter too. So I know exactly what those two words entail. You're an master of your craft and an artisan and artist. Not just a construction worker.
With hand tools, WOAH, I am going to sitdown and watch every second of this like an epic movie later on today!
I also believe you two have cemented a bond between you that will last forever. I could not help thinking as I watched what a wonderful experience two young people could have together, to build the house together they will raise their family in and share their love for a life time. It is truly amazing and wonderful. Congratulations to you both.
By the way, I am 76 and from Washington State USA. 😊😊😊❤

Thank you for not putting loud useless music in your videos. It’s such a pleasure being able to hear the sounds of the Forest and the sound of your hand saw cutting into the wood. How quietly you work together your like a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.
Absolutely agree about not having intrusive, loud muzak in the videos. Let the sounds of nature reign!
And also, for not having an Intro.
Yes about no music, intros and such makes this vid a masterpiece in the YT genera.
Меня тоже раздражает музыка в таких видео, а ребята молодцы, привет из России
Они рубят здоровые, живые деревья, не сухие, не упавшие, разве такое можно???
I am a retired builder, and I can say without a doubt, you both are master craftspersons. I am in awe of your skill and endurance. Very very well done, you both should be beyond proud. WOW
Well thank you so much! It means a lot coming from someone with such experience !! :)
@ What do you think? Are you a good enough person to enter into heaven? How many lies have u told before? Ever stolen? Ever lusted? Ever hated anyone? We have broken God's laws but Jesus has paid our fine!
In today's day and age power tools are awesome specially cordless my hat is off to your patients😮 they have come so far with batteries small generators even like a Honda make short work I would not have judged you different either way awesome job and it's great to see how well you work together😊
A very beautifull house. Excellent skills. If there are forrest fires I would make space around the house. To keep it safe. Greetings from Holland
What a beautiful home you both built together. You should be so proud of this! So happy for you. Greetings from Newport, Minnesota USA! :)
You both for sure are soulmates, having persevered together the build of this scale. To top it off with just a few hand tools. You both are such an inspiration to many young talented people. God bless your marriage forever and ever!
Your craftsmanship, your teamwork, your attention to detail, your creativity, etc, etc, etc, is incredible. It is such a blessing that you have documented this and shared it with your KZhead audience as well as family and friends. It is truly inspiring!
What fantastic work, what rapport between you, the richness of detail and the care with which you did everything is very impressive, congratulations, it was an honor to watch every minute of this work of art. Congratulations to you both. Thanks for sharing. May God bless you greatly.
They are both very skilled....I was truly in awe....very, very impressed
I’m a 76 year old women, and I loved watching these two amazing young people, working so hard. And what a fabulous job they did. So far removed from the way cabins and houses are built today. It looks beautiful, you should both be very proud of your selves. Such hard work without power tools. 💪💪 Watching from Australia 🇦🇺🐨
I am 24 year old man and I am jealous of you since you got to grow up in a very good era. I despise what the world is going towards. But these videos do give me some peace.
@@thenewmdzakI am 84years old and enjoyed every minute of your build
I absolutely 100% agree,
Absolutely agree with you. BRILLIANT WORK!.
From north east of England . X
Absolutely fabulous to watch. Your house will last 100 years. Your grandchildren willl stand in awe of what you did
Too bad in today's world the grandchildren probably won't. Because they will be plugged into the system.
You are both to be congratulated on your commitment and initiative in building your cabin. I am 77 and have worked with wood in one way or anther for many years. I have spent 2.5 hours of pure enjoyment watching the way you work together, sharing all the various tasks. I commend your tenacity. Obviously you have only shown a section of each task necessary, e.g. cutting down the trees and stripping off the bark, this in itself a major undertaking to provide all the timber necessary. Equally, I commend you on the quality of your videos, which in my opinion is of a professional standard. May you both enjoy many years of life together in this beautiful home that you have created.
Way to Go! It's so comforting to know there are younger people out there that get it. Thank you
I don't know what impresses me more, the off grid build, the cinematography or the amiable way you two work together. Well done!!
reality says there might have been one or two tiffs we never saw behind the scenes
My wife and I watch this together I've watched it twice now. I worked construction most of my life mostly as a roofer. But I have framed Carried hod, laid brick poured foundations, done a little bit of everything. I am really really impressed with the job you guys did as a team together. You did it the old school way. I am 55 and I remember having to hand nail no pneumatic nailers. But you guys did it the way the Pioneers would have done it. I know strong grown men that would have been whining and complaining the whole time. You have a beautiful home now. And those wonderful memories to always share together. A couple that can survive doing that together, you all will be able to survive whatever this world throws at you. Well-done, I tip my hat to you both.100%
P😊😊 ji
Memories, My old pals Velma And Shaggy did the same. I remember the custom painted van, my poor fashion sense ( I had a thing for ascots) and that old dog
@@DeadCat-42 hopefully you got a Scooby Snack
so, are you saying if Pioneers had power tools in their time, they wouldn't use them?
@@funtyes1970 of course I'm not saying that they would most definitely use power tools if they had them back then anything to make the job easier I'm just saying it's cool the way they did it the old school way a lot of extra work a lot of extra time it was just calling unique I know when the church Notre Dame burned down over there in France they said that that was three generations of Masons and Carpenters that built that grandfather father and son worked on that church and the Craftsman don't exist today that can do that kind of Woodworking and masonry work because they were talking about restoring it but now there's no doubt if the people that founded this country add power tools they would most definitely be using them because time is money and anytime you can make a job easier that's what people are going to do
It’s awesome to watch a couple work together as a team and build their dream
My dad and I stumbled onto this video while visiting him. We have been watching for 4 nights and are absolutely amazed at the precision this wonderful couple achieves. The tongue and groove is so perfect as well as everything you both do. Such a wonderful positive story everyone needs to watch.
Hi
I was a carpenter and builder for years from ground to roof and everything in between. I am extremely impressed with this build not to mention that it was all with non electric hand tools. Outstanding job guys
Toyta 0:40
so, you are saying making a lot more work for yourself cuz of hand tools? and don't forget probably take 5 times longer to build it cuz of hand tools.
My precious late husband and I built a screened in porch on our house many years ago.. the price quotes we got for someone else to build were outrageous, so we decided to do it ourselves! It’s not quite as impressive as this beautiful cabin you have built ✌️ But I still sit on this porch and am amazed that we made this… cherish each other, what you kids have is amazing ❤🥰
This comment touched my heart. 💜
I'm 65 and live in Montana USA. My husband and I did many building projects in our 20 years together, but never anything so grand as this! You two did an amazing job!! And sir, you are blessed to have a wife capable of dealing with heights. I could go up maybe ten feet on a ladder and that was about it. She is to be commended! Congratulations on a job very well done and may you enjoy your home for many decades to come!❤
I've actually watched this a couple of times and I'm still in awe at the precision of the build even with hand tools. I don't know if either of you have a background in home design or building but this was very well done. And you sir have a wife worth her weight in gold to take on this venture with you. I was captivated at every moment of this build. Congratulations on your accomplishment.🎉🎉🎉
Why compliment him about her instead of complimenting her?
@@theUcane That was a compliment to both of them for they're hard work. I don't discriminate and leave someone out because of their sex.
I don't know what I would do without my table saw and chop saw, battery powered hand tools and so forth, more power to them creating a beautiful home by hand !
I think it shouldn't be hard really. I think nails are used most of the time for wood-based building. You don't need powered tools for that. But the rest yeah, impressive.
Guys, this has to be the best vid on KZhead at the moment. It has everything. Vision, Hard graft. Skill. Inventivness. Attention to detail. Everything. What a project to embark upon!! And what a finished result!! I've got nothing but admiration for you both. Fantastic job. Very well done. Tony, from UK
I am so impressed with the craftsmanship and dedication you two put into this build! The way you work so well together toward a common goal is so encouraging. God has truly blessed you. Please keep posting more content of the other projects around this cabin. I appreciate the authentic sounds of the forest and of the work...no music! And your camera work while you're working is spectacular! Nice job and thanks for the videos!!!
You both look so young, yet you built an awesome house together. The young lady is such a good partner. You both deserve accolades, well, well done.
Your teamwork is a model for every couple. Your planning and quality of construction will doubtlessly enrich your own lives but also, if you raise a family, the lives of your children and your grandchildren long after you're gone. Blessings on you and them for sharing your experience with the rest of us and brightening our worlds.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We also think our future kids will have a great life here 😊
@BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY WAY 😊 THANK YOU .
Absolutely ! Thank y’all for sharing this 👍May The Lord God Almighty be with you and Bless you. Y’all done a wonderful job ❤

Love your UNITY, God said let her be your HELPER. Well for me she more than a helper. She aquired all aspects of carpentry, masonry ect ect. She will be proud of him as a man, and visa versa, and of course their home. She has a legacy. May God keep HIS BLESSINGS and GRACE on them and family, I pray in Jesus name. HalleluYah Amen .🙏🏿❤️
As a Canadian for 83 years I have to say you two are a fine example of the pioneer spirit. Congrats cmacshack
Well that was certainly very impressive! Well done you two. Thanks for sharing your project with us. What a beautiful cabin and home.
Very nice precision work with only basic hand tools. And I must say that the gal could outwork most men. This is just outstanding work from both of you. I am a 25 year carpenter and I’ve seen a lot of people who could not build this cabin ,this nice with power tools. Kudos to you both!
😀😄😁
I’ve noticed not only are you both hard working .. but the health benefits .. you not only built a log cabin but you guys put on some muscle mass .. what a transformation .😊
Congrats on realizing your dream home! As a California-based junk removal business owner, I can't imagine how challenging it must be to construct a house off the grid. I watched your entire video documenting the building process, and it's truly impressive how you, as a couple, built this beautiful house. Your accomplishment is extraordinary, especially considering such projects typically involve a larger crew. Kudos to both of you for making my day with your remarkable achievement. Cheers!
An dnd with excellent precision fits and great waterproofing construction techniques'.
absolutely amazing!! loved watching you two work together and progress in the building process! Thank you for not adding some cheesy background music through the whole thing too, it was nice hearing the peepers, crows and all the wild life. just not sure how you guys work so much together in silence! Thank you for th ewonderful video, look forward to checking out the rest!
You two are spectacular! What a great husband and wife team. I'm impressed by both of you. Your wife is as tough as ever! What you built is stunning and is a hand crafted masterpiece. Congratulations! A job well done!
Thank you so much!
I have been building for over 45 years, and I am speechless right now. What you two have accomplished is beyond words. I stumbled across this video by accident, and two and a half hours later I am humbled by what you guys did. You should be so proud of your accomplishment. 99% of todays couples would NEVER even try something like this. Great Job, what a story for your children and perhaps grandchildren someday...FANTASTIC WORK YOU TWO!!!!!
Make that 99.999% and it would be more like it.
That's the percentage I was thinking of!
My husband and I cannot even put a shelf together without eyerolling (affectionately) and thinking each one knows best 😂 So for the two of you to work so harmoniously and cohesively on this huuuge project is nothing short of a marriage miracle. Well done you two ❤🎉
Another here from the UK, and I too sat absorbed to the end! I can remember, long years ago, making wooden pallets and your video reminded me of how hugely satisfying it is, to cut wood to shape and to hammer home nails! Almost therapeutic! Your tenacity, patience and skill are the kind of things you can be so proud of. I kind of likened it to a sport, where every move, every decision, has to be precise. Thank you for sharing this, I thoroughly enjoyed it! 🛠🏚
I am 54 years old and been in the residential home building and repair for a long time. I respect this build cuz of choice not to use power tools. I don't know what experience you have but you have the smarts and more importantly the will it takes. The roof rafters will wick water through the wood. I hope you cover the cut ends with a good high quality finish since the roof decking and metal do not extend past the cut ends. I'm not trying to pick apart your build just want it to last a long time cuz you put alot into it. The dwelling will be a part of you I hope for life. I applaud the choice of tools especially in a day and age where people like to take short cuts and use power tools .I am sure you will know your home like he back of your hand. Good job. I commented to soon. I see the gutters now.
Looks like clay basted capping on the end grain of the logs - should be effective in deterring checking and wicking.
You should be very proud of yourselves and what you've accomplished. If your relationship survived this build then it should survive just about anything. Looking forward to future projects on the property.
We do believe you are right!! Thank you so much :)
Yes totally with them only using hand tools and not electric tools amazing craftsmanship that both of them are doing because people this age would not be doing this kind of work today and most people this age wouldn't be thing or doing this themselves they would pay someone else to do it for them these two here have amazing work ethic that most people doesn't have these days.
Amen!💪⚖️☝️☯️🔨☀️☸️📐🌎🕊🌲🇨🇦🌟💫
😮😮😮
@Is Maela ambidextrous? If so. Does she struggle with left and right? Nice job
I am in AWE of you guys ! Thank you so much ! You will never forget or regret this experience . You just must have to smile and think back on the build every time you come home !
Old school build by young adults. Very impressed. This is how kids used to be and should still be.
My husband and I just watched this beautiful young couple building their dream home. You guys work so great together. I wish you a long and prosperous life in the woods of Canada.
Down to the smallest detail. Extraordinary work by this couple.
I’m 72 years old and have just watched one of my dreams come to fruition vicariously through you guys! Wonderful video and the appearance of soul mates at work. Keep the love and let us enjoy your ventures. From eastern Kentucky, bless you!!
You two guys are amazing! I can't belief that your video doesn't have a billion watched by now. Everybody should see you guys in actions, amazing, just amazing. Thank you!
My wife and I just spent a couple of hours watching this truly amazing several seasons working on a project and we didn’t hear a single argument. Amazing.😊
One of my thoughts too!
As I discovered your videos more than half way through your build I have not had the time to go back and view them all from the beginning. This look back at the entire build was perfect and I’m even more impressed with you both. Thank you.
That’s exactly why we made that video ahah glad it could bring you back to the beginnings :)
HGTV can’t complete with how satisfying watching you build this beautiful cabin! All while watching I was saying to myself, I wonder how much they would charge to make me a log cabin🤣. Your attention to detail did not go unnoticed! You should be proud of yourselves. Well done!
Wow, thank you! Glad we're entertaining :)
I admire you using hand tools and taking on such an ambitious project. Not many could follow through. I've built a log home for someone as a recording studio here in Connecticut USA. The company was called "Real Log Homes" who produced the logs. I'm surprised you didn't use certain power tools even though you had power in your later videos. I've been binge watching yesterday and today. No one would of faulted you for using screw gun, and other power tools. You did use a sewing machine. Enjoy your home. Thomas Dutkiewicz, USA
I just don't get it why only using hand tools make a lot more work like a lot more work for yourself. if was me I sure be using a chain saw
I'm from Brazil and I'm delighted with this wooden construction! I was watching the entire video and delighted with the willingness and skills to build this house! 👏👏👏👏
Também fiquei maravilhada com essa construção, até dá vontade de fazer uma ❤

We have dreams so we know what we want in life, well done to both of you! I’m a Marine corp vet. From Desert Storm. Being a single parent of four(6yrold-17yrold)I have shared this video with my kids and my dreams. To have a good woman stand by you and help you is rare, if i were you build whatever she wants. Remember happy wife is a happy life! Again well done to both of you.😊
It's great to see this young couple working together without the need for arguing or raised voices. I really love that they have chosen to build their home in the woods with hand tools. it the old fashioned way without the use of modern power tools. It will certainly take longer to complete, but the satisfaction they get will last a lifetime. In today's world we have the habit of always searching for the easier/faster/newer tools and technologies, but these two have chosen to honor the ethics of hard work and self-reliance, instead. This experience will strengthen their character and give them the confidence to face whatever lies ahead.
my father told me "anything worth doing is a labor of love." I say today at fifty four years old, nothing worth doing is easy. I like seeing your cuts evolve as you go. great job you two.
It is SOOO satisfying when logs drop onto the one below, matching the curve so well. Nice job, you two!
Its cool seeing you use skills that are forgotten today by most. Hard work & being outdoors never gets old. You are incredibly hard working & talented, great job on the edit 2.5 hrs cant be easy
This is just absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship you to put into this is amazing!
I am 82, designed and built my own home, ( traditional.) and have to say you two impressed me to no end. Great skill and innovation.
This woman sure can swing a hammer. You two are such a hard working team, I do not know if people understand the incredible amount of work it is! I counted 2 1/2 years by the seasons. BRAVO !
You two are absolutely incredible!!!!! I am amazed!!!!!
It is a lovely home. Not just because it looks beautiful but also because 2 hearts worked together .. rain or shine, these couple worked together and made it a lovely home
Spectacular! Not only do the two of you have the skills, but your team work was amazing !
These two craftsmen have done a job second to none…some of the nicest and most precise building of a log cabin I’ve ever seen. The dedication alone it must have taken is amazing…..I’m just totally in awe of what they’ve done…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
l agree with William, this is truly awesome work, being a retired Carpenter and Joiner for most of my working life,l retired many years ago,l' 79 and to see a young couple do something like this most encouraging. Good luck to them for the future.
What an incredible journey so many things learned. It was great seeing you both working together in unity. The log home looks fantastic. Takes me back to when my grandparents and us all built our log homes in Colorado great times.
What an adorable home. You work together so cohesively all while barely communicating. Sealing the roof on the porch before adding the metal was a great touch, adding protection to the wood. The stone work for the wood stove turned out beautifully. The entire build was very inspiring. My husband owns a paving company (the account I'm using) and he plans on purchasing land in Maine and building a log home. Though he has heavy equipment to do so, it's still going to be a lot of work as the equipment doesn't help much when it comes to the actual building, just digging (he wants to use a container or two and build an underground bunker and storage). The only thing that would've made this video even better would've been a showing of the inside completed. I'm always so amazed by tiny living, minimalism and how people make it work. Everything turned out beautifully. You both did an amazing job!
What an awesome job! It's so good to see a married couple working together as a team to make a dream come true!! Keep it up!!!!
Nick & Maela, I have to say I have watched a lot of off-grid cabin builds to get ideas for my build and I have to say this is by far one of the best videos I have seen to date! I found it interesting using an interlocking post and beam style build and with basic hand tools! There are also a lot of couples out there doing these types of builds and you two really grabbed my attention! I don't care where in the world you are, but if we had more young couples like you two supporting each other to build something you both can be proud of and cherish for decades to come, this world would be a better place! I say that sincerely! The teamwork is beyond words and super proud of you two on that fact alone! I'm older and in my mid-50s in Central Ohio USA, and recovering from reconstructive knee surgery so I plan on using modern tools and equipment to assist me, but I have found your videos very insightful with a lot of techniques I plan on incorporating. Thank you for sharing! I'm going to get a small portable sawmill to mill 8 x 8 square posts and 6 x 6, and 4 x 4 posts for the rest and do my joints the same way you two did! Great craftsmanship in my view! You two really did a super fantastic job not just with your cabin build but with your video and editing! Major kudos for being inspiring on many fronts and I wish you two much love, happiness, and good health for decades to come! I look forward to watching more of your awesome videos!
Agreed!😊 Nicka & Maela! 🌻What type of wood? Fir? , it works easier than oaks Im planning to build with in GA. ..🌅

One of the best builds i have ever seen by this young couple just with hand tools and i watch at least 8hrs daily on these builds hats of to yous and well done............
At 79 and in a power chair to get around I obviously can no longer get involved in this type of thing, but I watched every minute of your video and am astounded at the work you have done. You have crafted a beautiful home that you have every right to be proud of.
Fantastic build. I am in my late 60es and used a lot of those hand tools with my dad when i was young. As time progressed, he got power tools, but I still enjoyed working with some of those hand tools even into my later years. Really nice job. Take care all.
What a joy must it be to live or stay in that cabin. What an energy, what skills, what craftmanship. Both of you, I enjoyed this very much! As a 70yo I go ahead of my time. Kudo’s!
I have built homes too,but this couple deserves that cabin! Only using hand tools too. You know it took time. Well deserved and congratulations on your cabin. This was one of my dreams, but age and health has gotten me now. Congratulations...
I loved this! I’m an old wood shop guy and the whole process was captivating! My wife was equally impressed how both of you worked so well together!
Man ol man you two have some incredible patience to do that like they did years and years ago!!! It's really unbelievable that there's still people who know how to do it!!! God bless you!!!

I just want to say your home makes me cry it’s my life time dream I may never achieve but to see y’all do this Amazing truly ❤great job you guys rock !
I give you two much respect for the hard work and dedication you put into this house! In today's modern technological society everyone has become lazy and forgotten what hard work is! Thank you for sharing your hard work and determination to accomplish such a beautiful home and using only hand tools! Much respect to the both of you and many happy and joyous years in this awesome house!
I watched every second of this and I want to say you both are fantastic. The skills you show are amazing and your finish is something I wish I had. Best two hours on KZhead in a very long time.
that satisfying “clomp” sound the logs make when rolled together, in one solid sound, epic!
these hand made cabins are the most beautiful, one can see the actual physical labour put into them. The second hand windows are money and labour savers, good idea. I appreciate your dedication and determination, but there is nothing more rewarding than, when you look around, you can say with great satisfaction: we have done it. I know the feeling.
This was amazing to stumble across, love to see how you both with your teamwork build such a dream home….so jealous!! 😍🥰 And the old technique you use and the fantastic logs! I can’t understand how you too had the strength to build like this, just amazing!! I love that you not using any music so you can peacefully just here the sound of the tools and nature! I’m a big fan of you now 🙌🤗😍 Love and hugs from Sweden!! ❤️

Absolutely amazing! I love how you keep each step in the process simple, and you don't over-complicate anything. Makes me think I could do something like this. You both have much to be proud of.
I have no idea how I received this video as a recommendation but I'm glad I did, that just blew my mind guys! The precision and the work you put into that was just incredible, I am in awe of what you guys achieved using just handtools👌
The team work was awesome. The craftsmanship is awesome. The design is awesome. The two of you should be proud of what you have accomplished. I'm impressed.
Y'all are amazing! I would love to have done this when I was young. I'm too old to do it now, but y'all are truly building a treasure! I'm so glad to have found you. Congrats on reaching 100,000. Happy New Year! Jane in SC (USA)❤🙏
The story of a Canadian couple building their dream home with hand tools is incredibly inspiring. It represents a return to craftsmanship and a connection with nature. The fact that it's a tiny log cabin in the forest adds a touch of rustic charm and a deep appreciation for sustainable living. This video is likely to captivate viewers who are interested in off-grid living, minimalism, and the idea of creating a dream home through hard work and dedication.

В Канаде разрешают рубить деревья как придется???
@user-kj4gu5xx3b they cut the trees on private land. On crown land there are permits you need to cut trees.
I agree with everything said here. I am so amaised with the idea, the work and skill here and I so wish I did something like this when I was younger. I am 75 years old and live in Johannesburg, South Africa. Well done guys.
Outstanding work! It is such a delight to see more and more people these days taking the road less traveled, going off-grid and being self-reliant.
Wow that's just amazing what two determined people can do , is just simply amazing and all with hand tools .

Glad to see young family do it together. God bless you kids 🥰😊
Gonna be honest.... I judged books by covers when I started on this video. You both look so young and inexperienced and WOW, did you prove my assumptions wrong (at least the inexperienced part)! You are not builders, you are craftsmen. The patience, skill and perseverance to complete this incredible build is off the charts. I learned several techniques watching this that I will apply. Congrats on building your dream home guys!
Same here. I'm still learning lol maybe someday I'll be able to do that. Very impressive
For 2 days it's been raining in Florida. For 2 days I've been watching you build a cabin. You work together so well and you're really good carpenters and Craftsman. Great job!
THIS IS REALITY TV, not the garbage, that the television bosses dream up and dish out. Great experience, was glued to the screen all the way, and enjoyed how you avoided the electrics and batteries, to do it the old fashioned way, and REAL TEAM WORK THROUGHOUT. All the best wishes for your future, and much enjoyment in your "Happy Home"🐻🐿🏆🏆🏅🏅🎖🎖💯👌oh, and the "stone work" around the stove and entrance, FANTASTIC...
watching from Michigan. My husband and I have been watching your progress. I am so very proud of you and what you have accomplished. ITS BEAUTIFUL! Great teamwork. I cant get enough of watching you two create a beautiful home. Congratulations you two!!
Great work!🎉 You two should feel so accomplished and proud. Loved the fact that there was no unnecessary music playing and you guys weren't talking...watched the entire vlog. Somewhat similar to ASMR...😂 lovely seasonal scenery too.
To the man in this video, great job! That being said, to the woman, you are an absolute SOLDIER! Both did a great job. Working together through the cold and doing what most consider to be hard work. This couple will make it through anything. Home is paid for and this video will bring in money from now on. Great job.
