  • Hey thanks for watching the video guys I’m the guy playing cap baseball in this vid. I get how people don’t understand what I mean when I say I “invented” this sport, as I do know that many people have been playing it locally forever. It’s a fact that for the first time in the world I officially started an Association where we can actually make this a profession, made the uniform rules, and run a competitive league. I don’t know anyone except for me that can make a living just out of this. Anyways, it was an awesome experience playing Cap Baseball with Trevor. He was the coolest guy I’ve ever met, and it was so much fun! He’s on pace to have a chance at winning most strikeouts or wins, maybe even other titles like the Sawamura Award. As a long time fan of Trevor, it’s an honor just seeing him pitch in person.

    • Hi, in Puerto Rico we use to play with metal caps, but we don't have the rules and measures that you have. It was more of a kid games and as an adult more of a grown-up challenge. I will be grateful if you could send me the rules and measurements of the playing field, so i can spread the word and start a local league in my town. Who knows if this can become a worldwide game. Thanks

    • @@jepagan1Sure! I’d love to have a global Cap-baseball competition! Pitcher to Batter is 9.22m, or half of that of baseball. It’s usually about 13m to both poles. 8m point on both lines to the pitchers mound makes up the Out zone. Anywhere else it’s a hit. The zone is similar to what we have in baseball. Other than that, the dimensions are what you have available. Feel free to ask any questions!

My impression was that he was struggling with his command; now I know why. Despite his struggles he was pretty effective so I was really puzzled as to why Trevor was removed relatively early; I think with the score tied. Again, now it makes sense. Fingers crossed that the next game he pitches shows up as a livestream. I'm used to watching games with the sound off because I can't stand the announcers, so it's fun just to concentrate on the game itself. Love the nerdy content.

  • Broooo bottle cap ball is what got me through school days😂 we only had 3 people on defense tho & we also added 1 ghost run stolen base per team. So if you hit a triple you could get 1 run.

  • He must have been born in 1960s cause we've been playing it since then. About 25% of the bars in St. Louis had either a bottle cap or a cork ball cage behind the building. Half the old men that played did the "snap finger pitch". One guy was so fast, you couldn't see the cap coming. Cork ball was even better. It was studied like a baseball but it was about 1/4 size

  • Man i Used to play a version of this in my house with my step brother. We used ping pong balls and a small plastic bat. I would flick the ping pong ball exactly like the guy in this video shows Bauer how to flick the bottle cap. Would make crazy spins and drops. We also had basically the same rules when it came to singles, doubles, triples and home runs. The bat we used wasnt a wiiffle ball bat. It was a much smaller and wider plastic bat you could hold with 1 hand.
