Damn these comments make me so emotional. I'm from South Africa, and I have never seen nations come together in this way... unfortunately we as Africa are in quite a position and have to walk a thin line. But I am very disappointed in my country not condemning the war. South Africa know how it feels like being oppressed and should always be vocal in all forms of oppression.

We have a better democracy than America.🤣 Here, women control their own bodies. Here hospitals are free... you don't go into a coma and wake up in debt wishing you never woke up. Here black people don't get shot for not wearing a seatbelt. Here, we don't have school shootings. the loss of Ukraine People can't be compared to loss of Russian people , Ukrainians were at home, while Russians came to kill and conquer their land, no offence but even mentioning "losses of both sides" is unethical for me
I understand, It cuts me to heart.With the devastation done Ukraine on a massive scale like, this it just on forgivable. This will go down in history as one of the worst atrocities ever. Russia has been trying to have peace talks for years and ukraine just kept refusing, what is Russia asking really? For Ukraine NOT to join NATO when they're right on the border of Russia? Is that really too much to ask?
Like the other person said, I also understand your sentiment, but it is not that simple. Boots on the ground will have consequences, and, also, that's not what Ukraine even needs. It has the men. What it needs is the weapons. Again, with the 'world wide vote' thing, it's not that simple. And it does not work that way. The entire world can't vote on one thing. Each country decides for itself. You can't just have all the countries in the world vote on something, and then expect all the countries in the world to follow whatever the result of the vote is, because that would mean that each country was no longer soverign, each country was no longer free... ...which would 100 percent go against what Ukraine is fighting for - they are fighting for their freedom and soverenty, and the right to choose their own future, etc. So the 'world wide vote' thing actually goes AGANIST eveything Ukraine is fighting for. And, back to the boots on the ground thing, please do your research on this, instead of just blurting out an idea. It's not what they need, and it's not a simple as that. I understand that it's heartbreaking, what is going on is Russia, but there's a lot you don't seem to understand, one of them being is that one of the ONLY reasons we have not yet had World War 3 is that Ukraine is not a NATO member, or an EU member. If a NATO country like the US or any NATO country put boots on the ground, it would be WW3, and there would be MORE - much MORE - heartbreak than there is now. I'm sorry, but you are just over-simplfying things. You have to look at the whole picture, all the consequences, all the factors and facets, not just 'lets put boots on the ground'.....you need to research what that would mean, because it would have deadly consequences. War is a very complex subject. It's not a simple as you make it seem. If it were, we wouldn't be having this war right now. I mean, look at the situation with Germany, and the worry that they won't be able to heat their homes this winter. Sure, a person can take the overly-simplified view, and say 'well, Germany should help Ukraine as much as possible', BUT, it's not that simple.... ....for one thing, if Germany does that, it will lead to people not being able to afford to heat their homes this winter, as Russia will cut them off. Then, when Germans are freezing and dying, and trying to figure out how to keep their babies and children warm and fed, their support of Ukraine will stop. They will not choose to support Ukraine when their babies are dying of cold and hunger. So... ...so, if Germany moderatly supports Ukraine, Russia will not cut their gas supply off, and Ukraine will still have IMPORTANT support from Germany, in the form of weapons and money. Whereas, if Germany fully supports Ukraine, Ukraine will end up LOOSING all of Germany's support, as I just explained in the paragraph above. On top of that, you need to realize that other countries have to look after themselves, too. This is not selfish, this is NECCESARY. Germans, for example, have to consider how they will heat their homes this winter. You can absolutely not expect them to literally freeze to death, for the sake of Ukraine. Another example is the inflation caused by this war, and by gas prices. I'm Canadian, but I have familly in England, and the gas prices and inflation have actually meant a family member there became homeless, and others are really struggling. It has come down to eating-vs-heating for many. England has a right to look after itself. It can't just sit there and let its people die. Yes, countries should consider and help Ukraine, of course. But there are limits. We have to look after ourselves, too.
It’s very important that the USA gets itself unified soon. As a world leader other countries of high importance depend upon us. The political games going on in the USA are hurting the rest of the world. We better choose our leaders wisely. Zelensky is leading incredibly. I am glad our current gov understands the importance of arming Ukraine for the sake of all of us. Not only for democracy but for basics needs to survive like food. We should not underestimate how important Ukraine is.

Ukraine government has been ahelling its own people for the past 8 years. No will to nd the conflict and comply with Minsk agreement. Russia also made it clear that they will not allow American forces just up their border. This does not justify the war but opression regime is not very accurate.
