We also called my great-grandfather Poppy and I thought about naming my daughter that as well. It’s a beautiful name. Also my uncles nickname as a child was Poots and my grandma still calls him that. It’s a cute nickname!

Pretty much every baby has a random, silly nickname. When my niece was a baby, we called her "Nugget" more than her actual name lol. As she's getting older (she's 2 now!) we've started using her real name more, but Nugget will always be her nickname. I can't believe people didn't realize Poot was just a silly nickname!

I honestly loved it when I heard that you named her Poppy. It actually sounds really feminine to me bc it makes me think of poppy flowers(which I love). I love the name Poppy. FYI my nickname was Pooter my entire life and shortened to Poot. I can’t tell you how much I love that someone else nicknamed their daughter the same. At 42 years old, I have come to love that nickname. And yes, my family still calls me that, it’s as much my identity as my first name.

We have 12 kids in our family (including 2 sets of twins and one set of triplets--I'm one of those!) so believe me when I say you want more than 2 kids. If your sibling is busy and you only have one, it's soooo lonely and boring! You don't need a lot of kids, but have 3 or 4 is definitely kid, and can really help your kids.
