  • My kids had a dumping phase. I started taking what they dumped away leaving only one for each hand with them. They stopped dumping stuff out pretty soon after that. First time "oh no! We don't dump things out. You can't have all that if you dump it out." Then we clean it up together. Second time "uh oh, okay pick one for each hand and the rest go away until you can treat them nicely." They freaked out, but figured it out in less than a week.
