Congratulations!! I recommend a quality baby carrier, we had a wrap style then bought Ergobaby for when she got bigger. And an electric nail file! The best thing ever for cutting their little nails.
First: Congratulations on been parents, but I words of wisdom is to listen to your first mind, because we pray your child is born healthy, but you will know what is good for your child. Getting a stand-alone toilet is great when you’re just starting to potty train because they can reach it themselves and learn better that way. We used the attachment once he was potty trained just to make sure he was comfortable and didn’t fall in.😅 So happy for you both!!❤

Hey Liane and Don! I’m a mama of a 2 year old and in my third month with baby #2! Hope you’ll find my suggestions helpful! -Coats: I'm from NJ so I don't know if it gets super cold in CA in the winter but Buckle Me Baby coat to keep baby safely secured in the car seat while wearing this coat. -Travel system: I have the Peg Perego Ypsi travel system. I especially love this since the canopy on the infant car seat and stroller can cover your baby almost completely. This was a winner for me since I had baby #1 when covid just started and I wanted to protect baby from germs. ALSO it’s convertible in positioning and you can use the same system for up to 3 kids by just buying the attachments! Check it out! -Wipes warmer: I would double think and research if you want the wipes warmer since warm/moist environments can create/harbor bacteria. -Milk catcher: such as the Haakaa so that you don’t waste a drop of milk for instance while breast feeding. -Fragrance free products just in case baby has super sensitive skin -Nasal spray: such as Baby Ayr. Their boogies can get sticky and annoying to take out so a spray will be good to moisten it up. It also helps for when they’re sick. -Diapers and wipes: I prefer Huggies or Kirkland brand diapers from Costco. Pampers sensitive or Kirkland brand wipes from Costco. Breast pump: don't forget to get your free breast pump through insurance if you haven't already! ..and of course don't forget about your post partum care! Hospital will provide you with these things but I felt more secure using Always discreet disposable underwear than the mesh ones the hospital will give you. I’m sure I’ll think of more to update this post lol. Congratulations to the both of you!

Hey Liane!! First off soooo excited for you guys! I’m a first time mom this year and I’ll tell you what I’ve learned so far lol still learning everyday 😭 but for the pump, I suggest HOSPITAL GRADE! I use the medela symphony. I rent it from my insurance and it’s the best one to get all the milk out. For the bottle I really liked the Dr brown to prevent colic. It’s a pain to clean tho lol oh if you can, I’d buy a mini dishwasher lmao if you’re going to pump also, it’ll be a lifesaver honestly. I didn’t want to put the bottles in the actual washer because it’s had food and stuff in there so I wanted to be extra careful especially cause my baby was a preemie. If I could’ve bought one, it would’ve saved my hands 😭 For the pacifier I would buy 1 pack because we bought so much pacifiers for her and she didn’t even like it 🤣 Also I heard the cribs where the doors come down are no longer in the market like that because it’s caused a lot of accidents 😩 Lol I keep editing 😂 I’m looking at your registry and I wouldn’t suggest the water tummy time because they need a harder surface to be on to help their development (that’s what her doctor told us). And for soap I use aveeno and she loves it 🥰 For swaddle blankets you want to make sure it doesn’t ride up to their face. But definitely try to swaddle because it soothes babies a lot going to sleep
i’ve worked at a few daycares and phillips avent bottles are really good!! dr. brown bottles leak a LOT! so excited for you guys!!
So much fun!! For babies they have discovery mats that can be good for tummy time.
Coterie diapers.. expensive but we use them just at night once baby is sleeping longer stretches. #1 thing we use everyday is the Frida Nose sucker! it's a MUST!!! Also having baby medications such as Tylenol or gripe water are nice to have on hand just in case. Cool mist air humidifiers. Velcro swaddles are so much better than plain blankets. Portable sound machine. Spectra breast pump and momcozy handsfree pump works great! We got a baby cam, infant optics, that doesn't run on wifi (so it can't be hacked into).
Amber beads that are safe for baby are great for teething! Also take a clean baby washcloth soaking it in water placing it in a ziploc and in freezer to freeze, once frozen teething baby can naw on frozen cloth!
Pampers swaddlers is the best! Holds up very well and also good for sensitive skin. I'd stock up on diapers and wipes now, get variety of sizes and also buy bigger clothes. People usually buy newborn to 6 months clothes so I'd suggest getting 6-12 month clothes.

We love our Nuna car seats (infant carrier [pipa]and the convertible [rava])! So safe and reliable. The Nuna mixx is our favorite stroller for one child - so smooth and easy to maneuver. We have two kids and love our Zoe twin+ stroller - it’s Disney approved (the dimensions) and it’s less than 20lbs. The best travel stroller, ever, when you have 2 kids! When we aren’t traveling, we like using our veer cruiser (stroller wagon). Have fun shopping for baby!!

You should buy a doona stroller I love how easy it was to travel and go places and its very comfortable for the baby and also mr brown bottles are good no air or gas for the baby
Something that I highly recommend that will help your baby sleep is the Mamaroo Bassinet!!! It is so worth it! My baby used it up to 5 months and then we transition him to a convertible crib that he can use til he is in his teen.
Bobbie, it’s organic! It’s a monthly subscription or you can get it at target. My daughter is on it and it’s the BEST! I have a Doona. It’s the best convenient stroller/carseat.
Once you have your baby shower, you’ll get a ton of stuff. -Diapers (pampers swaddler) size 3 and up I hate Huggies just because it leaks and has a smell when it’s wet. - Huggies baby wipes (unscented) or cucumber melon - triple paste for diaper rash - swaddler blankets are a must - Tucks (cooling pad for your kitty after birth) is a must! AGAIN, CONGRATULATIONS! Can’t wait to meet her.

Pampers pure for sure! They are the softest of all pampers we still use them now and baby is 2! And wipes deffo water wipes! Dr brown bottle for sure hope this helps. Xx
Pampers, Aveeno products, tonsss of burpee’s, if you’re going to nurse get a suction milk catcher it has a specific name but idk it but it was literally my favorite nursed my baby on one boob and used the catcher on the other boob and it helped with milk storage. Get a car seat that doubles as a stroller so you don’t have to carry the car seat(I had the Doona and loveddd it but Ik there’s better options), I heard tons of reviews on the foot monitor both good and scary, they do overheat and burn the foot. Side note:idk why, but my wipe warmer attracted tonssss of ants!🐜 I instantly threw it away it was crazy. Grip socks for baby! I had a tonnn of blanket swaddles and barely used them honestly I had a favorite brand the Muslim blankets I believe(they were lightweight and breathable and were a lot bigger than most swaddles so it was definitely easier to swaddle with).

I like pampers and I like the wipes from them that are sensitive and in the white box. Dr. Browns is the best for bottles I don’t trust the milk mixer and warmer. I forgot the name, but it started with a B. It wasn’t mixing it well 2 years ago when I had it. Cute clothes definitely buy a size bigger because they grow out of them so fast. Don’t buy too many newborn clothes that are expensive because they’ll grow out and get dirty too fast. Save the cuter clothes for 3 months and up Formula is going to be up to the baby. I used gentlease for mines Newborn toys are pretty much in the area with the diapers and just like tethers and stuff for the car seat The sleep sacs are a must Crib will be up to you. I bought a convertible crib, but I see other beds I want to get all the time lol Get a safety blanket and a little stuffed animal that baby can keep when you’re running around

You guys made me smile, reminds me of when we first shop for our baby girl! Agree! So many cute stuff. 1. Diapers- we used Pampers, I think majority use pampers or Huggies. I never had leaks on both I think it just depends on getting the right size. 2. Body lotions/soaps- we used aveeno and honest. 3. Teether- banana one for sure 4. Pumps- you can get one from your insurance like the elvie stride it wasn’t available back then so I got madela it’s nice too 5. Car seats-We used Graco infant carseat but nuna car seat looks nice and padded. 6. Stroller- love our nuna mixx so classy and nice push except our baby outgrew fast due to the seat is small. Now we use City mini gt love it too 8. Hatch sound machine is a life saver! Lol my 17 mos old son will be Chucky this Halloween 😂

I swear by the target brand diapers never once has my daughter leaked out of them plus they are way cheaper in the end anyways for saving money! You get more for less! I’m so happy for you guys seriously I’ve been watching since forever! I’m from Minnesota wish you guys well!!
I would recommend the pampers brand for diapers, for bottles the tommee tippi is good also the como tomo is good as well, for stroller/car seat I have the evenflo brand and I love it, enfamil is being discontinued so the only option you guys have is similac or target brand 🥺 as for yourself I got my breast feeding bras from Amazon as well as my postpartum underwear and they’re super comfortable…I hope this helps❤🥰
Also research after birth care for Mom! Nipple cream and frozen pads for down there are a must! Theres a lot that goes into it! Omg I am so excited for y’all!

Aveeno for baby skin wash. Some babies love medela bottles. If baby gets cradle cap, mix breast milk and olive oil. Aquaphor for baby rash. Baby SNOO, 4moms mamaroo. Electric nail file.
I am glad yall shopping for the baby I did not have a job when I was pregnant or had a good partner. So tip get ones, cute outfits size 0-3 then 3-6 and plenty of diapers.
I know you have friends who are parents already-I would ask them for recommendations as to what to get and what has worked for them. GRACO for car seats and strollers are the best. Glad to hear you have a baby registry together for your baby girl and for yourselves. Take it all one day at a time, enjoy every moment as it comes. Glad you are going to be taking new baby classes and educating yourselves on taking care of Baby Girl. Ease up on the humor a bit please, this new parent journey is going to be a roller coaster ride and while humor is great in coping with situations at times, this is serious new territory you all are entering in embarking on this journey. I know you two will be fine as you have your parents, your family, your friends, and us to see you through it all. And again, allow yourselves some bonding time with Baby Girl before introducing her to your other family members, your friends, and the world.
I don’t have a child but I am a pre-health major in college and in my Nutrition course we just discussed lactation and pregnancy, and something that his highly encouraged by Nutritionist, the US Surgeon General , and other health officials is that breastfeeding is THE healthiest option for your baby. If you can breast feed this is the #1 option because formula cannot 100% replication breast milk and studies have shown significant increases in long term health and intelligence. If you are looking to learn more on what to do for your baby food wise and nutrition I highly recommend you meet with both a registered dietitian and nutritionist and a pediatrician. This is because sometimes pediatricians can recommend a certain type of juice, in cases where the baby may be constipated, and a nutritionist would say otherwise for a variety of reasons.
Hey you guys should look into the Volvo car seat - I’m coming up to my 10th week and have already heard from multiple people it has the best safety ratings in the world! I think it’s convertible too and will last from birth to the end of their car seat life. I haven’t done too much research on it myself but just wanted to share :)
Nala’s Baby is a new baby skin care brand that started in the U.K, it is one of the only completely natural, clean and safe baby brands. So many people have reviewed how good it has been on their baby’s skin!! Definitely one to try out! 🤍🤍🤍
As far if baby food I made my last babies food and it felt so good because I knew what’s in it. And snacks I bought I think it’s called happy baby or any from sprouts.
Aquaphor and A&E ointment are a must for babies
Some babies are delicate so get fragrance free lotion like eucerin , or like cetaphil is such a good option as shampoo. Don’t use Johnson and Johnson , Huggies worked great for my son cuz he was very chubby at 3-4 months I used Kirkland diapers from Costco . bottles try different ones until you see which one your baby likes .

For formula I would recommend looking into European formulas as they have cleaner ingredients. Check out buy buy baby for strollers and car seat; they have such a variety of different kind for all price range!

dr. brown bottle leaks a ton and needs to be thoroughly cleaned each use I prefer Avent bottles easy to clean (less pieces) and no spill!! hope this helps.
I feel like get something neutral. And then car seat and strollers go based of reviews and what you are gonna like . But the essentials are baby bottles , diapers , fragrance free shampoo , a good moisturizer, socks , beanies , mittens , burp cloths , receiving blankets, and a lot of long baby clothing bigger sizes cuz they grow out of it super fast .
My grandma is foster parent and she said pampers are the best for babies and the pampers sensitive wipes
I really like boon bottles, they are silicon and easy to clean. I used Dr. Brown, avent, and I believe Nuk with my first born (didn’t really care for any of them) but I used boon with my second they are by far my favorite. When it comes to diapers I would say start buying them now in all different sizes because you will need so many and don’t focus on a specific brand unless that’s something you really care about or you find out your baby is sensitive to a certain For me it was whatever gets the job done because they are going in the trash anyways. Also I highly recommend the stand alone toilet just put coffee filters in them when potty training it makes cleaning the poop easier. 😂

Coterie are the best diapers especially for sensitive skin. Pricey for sure but I've tried all types and nothing holds better than Coterie! Cerave body wash and dapple soap cleaner for bottles. Love elvie portable breast pump with Sarah wells travel case and ceres breastmilk chiller! Orbit baby 360 travel system has been a huge blessing as far as convenience. Definitely check out orbit !

Hey!! Current mama of 2 boys and from the 5 year old to present day 3 month old I have learned so much from the 2. Dr. Brown bottles worked great with my first but I learned about Como Tomo bottles with my second and if you plan on sticking to just breast milk and feeding, these bottles are IT because they are closest to a breast latch and have anti colic. I had Medela for my first breast pump but the medical grade Spectra brand is a GAME CHANGER! Wish I would’ve had it with my firstborn! The Doona car seat/stroller is perfect for on the go parents! Also something I learned with my second after a referral from a cousin (mommy of 5) lol and the Honest brand for hygiene/diapers and Huggies for diapers work best in my experience! Hang in their momma and daddy! And remember, sleepless nights are part of the journey. Be there for each other and patience is key. There is no parent how ever got it right 100%. I’m still learning to this day! Blessings!

My baby is now 9 months, and has been in the Costco Kirkland brand diapers since she was in size ones, (Costco doesn’t sell newborn diapers🤦🏽♀️) and also I use the Dr.brown bottles bc it has that pink (blue) piece in the middle to help the baby breath while drinking breast milk/formula.

So incredibly happy for you guys! Shein has soooo many cute baby outfits! Avoid onesies with a ton of snaps! Zippers are the way to go. The last thing you want to do is deal with a bunch of snaps in the middle of the night. Aveeno has amazing products for the baby's skin. Pampers diapers all the way! We had so many blow outs and leaks with Huggies. Mam is my fav brand of bottle. Spectra brand breast pump is great. Chico Bravo 3 in 1 travel system! Similac Pro Advance is amazing but super hard to find with the shortage. Congrats again to you guys! Love you so much!

Zipper onesies is the BEST!! Don’t buy too much newborn clothes you’ll only use it for 3 weeks😅 The BEST breast pump is MEDELA, the portables doesn’t work that well learned my lesson.. Pampers Swaddle diapers for me are the best. And I love Dr.Brown’s baby bottles.

Brand wise, every baby is different! Some are sensitive to the popular expensive brands, other babies are sensitive to the store brands. I would start off with some packs first just in case. Also, don’t buy diapers in just one size (small size). Babiea out grow those sooo quick! Potties! Do stand alone first, that way she can get the hang of it. She may get overwhelmed looking at the big toilet when just starting out. You want her to be as comfortable as possible! Formula all depends on the baby. If she has colic enfamil gentlease works great, enfamil reguline helps to regulate the digestive track if she has constipation/diarrhea etc.
The honest brand products are great by Jessica Alba. Pampers are wonderful diapers. If you have a TJMaxx near by check it out too- a lot of baby items and clothes there too. Congratulations

Pampers swaddlers and my kids had sensitive skin so we had to use aveeno products lotions body wash hair soap and dr. Browns bottles and my daughter would leave hair bows in her hair my friend daughter would rip there out so they asked why my daughter would leave it in and I think its because ever since she was newborn I'd put it in her hair so it was normal to her 🤗

As a newly recent mom, my daughter is 9 months & I do not recommend the baby wipe warmer because it gave my baby such a bad rash & it was so painful for her I regret using warm wipes on my baby because she was in so much pain 😩
Go to Costco for diapers and wipes. Kirkland diapers are the best they are like Huggies

So buy diapers and wipes now!! My husband and I bought one pack of either diapers or wipes whenever we went to the store so that we would be stocked up and could enjoy time at home instead of having to run out to get diapers once baby got here!! We LOVEEE the honest company and Huggies!! Breast pump: motif Luna has been my favorite! And yesss to nursing bras! I got my pack off Amazon and love them! 😊 congratulations mama❤️
Its soo exciting shopping for babies, I miss it lol! So happy for y’all💕.. I might b a little late but still better late than never😝 - BOTTLES: Dr Brown’s Anti-colic bottles r good. My son was picking for nipples lol (they come in pink also😉) - PAMPERS: I’d suggest pampers swaddlers😊 I’ve always heard not so good reviews about Huggies..leakages & rashes but it does work for some people. - FORMULA: I used similac ready to use(liquid). When my son was a newborn, the nutrition doctor switched him to the lactose because the milk wasn’t agreeing with my son & he was throwing it up after every feeding then the doctor switched him back to the regular one. Mind U it isn’t good to keep switching formulas cause it’s hard on their tummies. - POTTY: I bought my son a little potty but he chose to use the “mommy & daddy” toilet😆 Sggggftzrfffffffff😂 Just Ma. Cant forget the little things also that some do tend to forget to think about like diaper rash cream, snot sucker, a clip string/strap for the pacifiers so U don’t lose them or drop & dirty them😅
i would recommend Rascal & friends diaper, the back is longer & its thick and none will leak
Also those pacifiers you guys got my baby didn’t like them at all, he loved the ones you get from the hospital they also sale them at target but I forgot the name of them
My boys are 12 and 16 now but I breastfed both for a little over a year…they have so much new products now and everybody is different but my advice to you 1.Put a small amount of Vaseline on your nipple after each feeding… 2.cheaper bottles and soft nipples work best…for my boys 3.hot shower before pumping or feeding helped with my milk flow This is just my experience there so many advice I can give you out I definitely which someone gave me this advice when I was breastfeeding…you are going to be amazing parents God bless y’all!!!
I would say don’t use breast pumps if you don’t have to. When you aren’t feeding (if your planning to) after a good while, the milk in your breasts start to built up and it can become very painful. I went through it last yr after giving birth and I could barely take a nap without feeling how hard the milk was and then I had to use the pump.

FYI I didn’t know that my baby was allergic to certain diapers until I had her. So don’t spend your money on the fancy ones because they may be allergic. My daughter only could wear the generic Walmart brand because those were the only ones that didn’t give her a rash.
