  • A good way to avoid mastitis is to pump your milk even if you're not breastfeeding at the moment. You can just store that milk and use It afterwards. And make sure to apply a little bit of coconut oil after every breastfeed, just enough so that it's moisturized. It won't harm the baby and I swear It really works🙌🏼

  • I got mastitis twice in first two months postpartum , after baby boy also had thrust in his little mouth but still breast feeding ontop of severly cracked broken nippels" because our boy is a 11 lbs boy at birth he ate alot!", then ended up getting a 53x32 lump in left breast a massive lump , and midwife kept telling me to just keep breast feeding and that its a clocked milk duct. And not to use nipple shields , but just skin to skin. after 4 months lots of test on lump and constant treatment for mastitis with fluloxicilin antibiotics , I ended up in hospital 2 times for aspirations on my breast, which in total was 9 aspirations over course of 3 months , because it kept coming back. I ended up having to stop breast feeding , they gave me medications to stop producing milk and concluded that when baby had the thrust in his mouth that bacteria went inside my breast when it was so broken and cracked and caused this infection. It was a very traumatic experience ,with my girls I never had problems With mastitis or breast feeding but they were 8 lbs babies and feeding was a lot more gentle with them , then my boy. I do how ever have a healthy 20 month boy now very tall and 44 lbs and still eating like a camp!!! 😁

  • When I had mastitus I had read a book which said stay in and put the baby to the breast every hour which I did I actually had a check up scheduled for the next day with my ob--gyn and the Pediatria and they both said I had done the right thing in time and didn't Need antibiotics but I empathize with the pain It really is terribile. Hopefully It won't happen to you again but If you feel something coming on stay in bed and have Josh bring the little guy to you every hour or so and you Will be amazed. You have a beautiful family ❤

  • Abbie, check out legendairy sunflower lecithin. It has been a life saver. I'm on baby 6 and had mastitis with 5 of my nursing babies. It's awful! This time I tried the sunflower lecithin anytime I feel a plug and it stops it right away!!

  • Mastitis is the worst!! I remeber having the shakes so bad! I ended up with burns on my hands from trying to pour the boiling water from our tea kettle into the hot water bottles with cold shaky hands. Even with the hot water bottles in my bed and mountains of blankets I could not get warm. I made my husband snuggle me to get warm but he couldn't bear it for very long. He said that I was burning up with fever. I was very relieved to finally get on the antibiotics the following day.

  • Hey Abby there is some sunflower oil that comes in liquid pill form on Amazon that you can get and take when you start to fill milk not being released or knots in the breast. It thins the milk and allows the milk to drop, I’m four months into breast feeding and use it when ever I feel it happening, that and putting baby on the breast as much as possible will relieve them ❤ Jagger’s getting so big and is just too adorable 🥰 and little Poppy is growing so much too, it’s cute when they get big enough to tell you what they want ❤

  • So fun to watch I’m feeding my dog little treats and my kitties at the window got to make breakfast but just enjoyed seeing young people and the beautiful miracle happening in your lives with the children and each other I don’t know what medicine you’re taking if it’s mind altering chemicals like anti-depressants but my husband went on some anti-depressants and it seems like a wonderful fix in the beginning but it’s basically drugs and your pharmacist will become your drug dealer and your body will need more and more to get the same results if you’ve got pain it’s because God wants you to feel it and if you medicate that away you become disabled so it’s best to go and it’s hard to get off my husband has her to rehab to get off the prescription meds that he’s been put on Parnate and I don’t know what else but I know people who got on the Xanax and they always have a happy pill the doctor gets paid off to prescribe this they are taught in medical school to do this but it’s a spiritual disruptor to God and him if you’re feeling pain it’s because you needed to know that you were pushing to yourself too hard or you were emotionally stressed out about something that you needed to deal with and maybe the relationship is difficult or the way that you present your children on the video is difficult but and you wanna make changes and you feel guilty and you feel afraid and you feel overwhelmed all natural feelings but to I hope I don’t know if the meds are just vitamins or something natural but if it’s some kind of mind altering chemical that makes you feel a little easier warning warning I do not want you to suffer because your body builds up tolerance and it’s it stops working so you need more and more it’s just like going to dry out drug dealer only it’s prescribed and it’s all those anti-depressants cause Alzheimer’s to and when your kids come to see you at 1560 you won’t remember their name or you’ll be in a diaper or you’ll forget things and it will be sad so I don’t know if I’m off the mark please forgive me but on the chance that you are on some kind of antidepressant and they always say oh it’s just temporary but these kinds of things I have a way of getting a hold of you so I just want to send that out to you and say I love you guys and want the best for you I pray that you have a clear heart and mind clear of any sort of chemicals that can disrupt your connection to God and to the pain that you are given as it as a gift from God the stress being a parent is stressful once you can except that it’s like an ongoing battle the joys and the highs are great the challenge is come daily and it’s just put on your big girl panties and face it but you can’t soften it with that emotion softener buffers of chemicals that lift you up and make it more tolerable in prayer and connection to God and meditation these are things that are without side effects love and light love and light again if I’m wrong and you’re just taking something that’s like four holistic natural vitamins that’s a different story sending you love lots of love to both of you 🙏🤩👍💌🤍❤️🦢
