This is the closest thing you can get to a Hulk multiverse back in the day where Lou meets his Hulk self and vice versa. Incredible Hulk multiverse of madness.
🤔
At least Lou didn't go green with envy.
@@stephenalanmoore7278 LOL
For real! I Never saw this episode as a kid
Yep. Except for the time when David had a bad twin. They blew that opportunity. Imagine the Hulk seeing David!?
It's funny how even Lou ferrigno looked intimidated by the Hulk too 😂
That was not Lou. That was Carl Mollino 😅😅😅
@@trinippl1 Right 😂😂😂
Lou is the one playing the hulk
@@uskz708 Right because thee other guy is Carl mollino
How do they do that? Nice episode
This Hulk is way more relatable and enjoyable than that CGI thing we see nowadays
well without the technology we had to use EFFORT, which is why movies looked 10 times better back in the old days, why do think ghosbusters looked so good? that was a puppet taking multiple puppeteers, and to make it look good and hoping people would take it seriously they needed to treat it like any other film eg the ny ecto-1 coming down the road scene was flawless
I agree!
I hate that ugly cgi , i think its time hulk goes back to the source material and just paint a huge body builder green and stop using that ugly cgi thing that looks so out of place in every scene it appears in
@@javiermontaque683 that is so true the CGI Hulk lacks a Genuine Human Soul, the difference between this Hulk and the Monster in the Movies.
@@arieshellstormm9487 that CGI , he lost his humanity . the fact that hes human is completely void from that character because hes always in that form , we dont see him as a ordinary human who gets provoked and is triggered to be that way by anger . we even see that ugly cgi thing smile . how is he smiling ? if hes smiling that would mean that hes calmed down and he should revert back to human
"POSE FOR US!"...and then he hits the most muscular pose. That was my favorite part.
@draconian45 I always like it when a bodybuilder hulks out like that it makes their hard muscled bodies bulge even more
@@robertbauers2210 but it is always the Best when The Incredible Hulk himself does it.
@arieshellstormm9487 definitely. When Hulk Hulks out his muscles bulge even more and looks more powerful 💪💪
@arieshellstormm9487 I’d I had muscle I’d be flexing and hulking out all the time 💪💪
I believe that's actually what that pose is called. Most muscular.
This is my favorite episode.I Iove how Lou ferrigno got to play himself and the Incredible Hulk in this episode. That was cool 😎
Jason-Big Louie had long wanted to do a speaking role, so the producers got together and came up with this episode. It was the only time he had a speaking role, and the only time he appeared without the green makeup, not to mention one of only three times he and Bill Bixby shared screen time.
@@kevinmiller6380 yes that is true.this episode was the first time that Lou ferrigno had a speaking role.
@@kevinmiller6380 yeah, now that was too cool 😎
That's way before they use cool VFX to put two actors' characters together now.
@@Tony_Baloney_69420 yes it was amazing how they did that. That was awesome 👍
I always said the Incredible Hulk is a great actor. The Hulk played Lou Ferrigno extremely well & looked almost identical.
All these years later, I still go all fan boy when that music kicks in and they cut to Bixby in the green contacts!! 1:22 Never gets old!!
Me too!👁👁👁👁👁🧟
"go all fan boy" is a great way to describe it. I was a kid when this was on TV and would get all excited when the green contacts came out. Hulk about to open a can o' whoop-ass on whoever the jerk of the day was, what an adrenaline rush.
Lou Ferrigno: Who are you? Hulk: I'm you but in Hulk mode.
"Pose for us!" LMFAO that was hysterical and awesome! Hulk wasn't passing up chance at that bodybuilding contract. I like how they made him look a foot bigger next to Ferrigno. Kind of a great scale of how big he should be.
I agree, I was thinking the same thing, it’s really cool how the managed to show that scale, nicely done! 👍🏼
The Hulk is supposed to be 7 feet tall, while Lou is 6'5", a 7 inch difference.
@@panowa8319 in the 70s yes. But writers keep having him grow bigger and bigger until last I heard he's like nearly 10 feet tall.
Me too!😁
I was worried how this would hold up but it is AWESOME. Lou really gives the Hulk that realistic rage and pathos. The scaling is perfect as well, I think they had Lou labeled as a giant for this episode and then the Hulk just towers over him. Awesome
The crowd annoys Hulk by yelling "pose for us" Hulk responds by roaring and flexing his muscles. They go nuts thinking he was posing. Hilarious.
According to IMBD this is Lou Ferrigno's favourite episode of the series. It's one of my favourites too. It was nice to see the big man have a speaking role and get the chance to play a different role outwith the hulk 😀
What were the criminals who were kidnapping Dr. Banner trying to do? Was it some kind of a steroid scandal that Banner knew about and they were trying to kill him to keep him quiet?
This is so cool. I vaguely remembered this from my childhood. But it's good to see it clearly after over 40 years. The time Thor showed on this TV series was really good too. But I remember being disappointed it wasn't as good as the comic books. But it was still good!
@@Zurround Keep his friend out of the body building contest
When Lou meets Ferrigno🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha 🤣🤣😂😂
I see what you did there
Hulk looking at Carl Molino: "Dude, you look familiar " 🤔 lol
Carl was really beside 🏋️♂️ himself, wasn't he? 💪
lou mad, ferrigno smash!
The Hulk throwing the medicine ball at the guy without looking in his direction is pretty comical 😆
Well, it was the 80's. The hulk probably watched the Showtime Lakers & liked Magic Johnson's "No-Look Passes"?
Especially while he was wearing those white contact lenses.
The no look pass
Years later Hulk will throw a forklift like it was a softball 😂
If you've never seen a barbell thrown through a wall, you truly can't appreciate the fear it instills in a kid. TRUST ME. 🙄
For those of you unaware, that was actually the Hulk pretending to be Lou Farrigno in that scene. He had some sort of tanning paint over his skin.
Thanks for clarifying that.
Patiently waiting for this Hulk to enter the MCU. This is the Hulk I grew up watching.
He was in the last standalone Hulk movie. See if you can spot him.
Maybe in Secret Wars hopefully. Or Deadpool 3.
I probably was too young to realise Lou was the actual Hulk back when I was a kid watching the original tv series run in the late 70’s ! Amazing this show is so dear to me ❤️
Me too! I didn't connect the two together until I was much older. I was always wondering why I kept seeing the name "Lou Ferrigno" with the Incredible Hulk show. I was like "Who is this guy Ferrigno?" Jeez Louise I was so dumb back then!
Watched this as a kid. My dad tried telling me, "That's the guy who plays the Hulk," but I didn't believe him. As far as I was concerned, the Hulk *was* the Hulk.
Hulk is probably thinking: "Its like I'm looking at a mirror. But more handsome." I love these series a lot
It’s crazy how they were able to make the same actor look so much smaller than his monster counterpart
It's funny how every pose he made almost coincided with the shirt rips.
I remember this episode! I didn’t realise Lou played himself in it though. I like how they made him smaller than the Hulk in the shot with the two of them facing each other on stage.
Hulk gets meta, amazing how they managed to make Lou look shorter than when he is the Hulk. Nice bit of camera trickery in the pre-CGI era where you get to see Lou Ferrignou share the screen as bodybuilder Carl Molino and as the Hulk. It was nice to see Lou get a speaking role and show off his acting chops. Also it was one of the few times he got to share screentime with Bill Bixby, a real nice guy and genuine gentleman.
I luv how they made Hulk look taller than Lou. 👍🏾
Loved how they made the Hulk look a lot taller then Lou. Which would make sense. My favorite show growing up!
Lou Ferrigno is 6ft 5, and The Hulk was supposed to be at least 7ft.
Lou Ferringo said this was one of his favorite episodes because he got to play two characters this time, including somebody other than the the hulk. Also, the cuts at 1:27 between Hulk's growing muscles and Carl Molino (Ferringo's muscleman character) are perfectly spliced together, showing that the hulk is just as human as anyone else, seriously misunderstood being.
Every body builder there in speedos thought they were tough, until they met the Hulk.
Every bodybuilder thinks they're the strongest, their musculature is the biggest, most defined and looks the best until the Hulk stomps in.
Everyone's a hulk until a real hulk walks in the room
This seems a lot better than She-Hulk and it’s 40 years old!
She hulk is a joke
@@robd1329 Yep. That's what happens when you give angry and bitter hacktavists a platform to spew their hatred and nonsense.

I loved this show. I watched it everyday when I was a kid.
Lou ferrigno double acting was epic ❤ 😅he himself the hulk, and he is also that bodybuilder too 😂😂❤❤
Hulkamina Is Running Wild Brother 💪😆
WWF actually got sued by Marvel for calling Terry Bolea " The Incredible Hulk Hogan " and they did it again in 2003 when Hogan got his Mr.America gimmic because he resembled Captain America.
Like Bill Bixby did in “Broken Image”, Lou Ferrigno was staring at himself in the mirror 💚 “King of the Beach” was the fourth and final time Bill and Lou shared the screen together, following “Married”, “Metamorphosis”, & “Broken Image”
Lou Ferrigno without the Hulk makeup!
Hard to believe the actor who played the hulk is so much taller than Lou Ferrigno. You would think they would be exactly the same height.
No that was lou on a box , I'm nearly positive, no feet shown or did you miss that , plus a guy 7' tall built like ferrigno and he didn't get the role of the hulk , please ! Lol
Force perspective, people. Easy trick with cameras.
@@timothyscott1951 and bull was tall and lanky, no mass anywhere close to Lou
@creepshow 3:12 Look at the position of their knees, that’s just Lou on a box, either that or the other guy looks 100% identical from the ankles up but his ankles are like half a foot longer.
@creepshow I mean, 260 on someone who is 6'0 vs someone who is 6'8 is a lot different.
One of the best Big Lou moments 💪😁🏋️♂️
One of the best episodes in the series. Lou Ferrigno meets the Hulk.
It was so funny seeing Lou portraying both, the bodybuilder Carl *and* the Hulk simultaniously.
I miss tv shows like this, grew up on night rider, this, dukes of hazard, Mork and mindy, different times.
This scene was hilarious. I watched this show when it was new but I somehow missed this episode. This show inspired so many of my generation to try weightlifting and bodybuilding.
Man I still love this show
Me too. This show along with Quantum leap when I was a young kid in the early 90s that instilled in me good morals and the drive to help other people. They just don't make shows like these anymore.
Me too man, I can’t get enough of it. I still watch it regularly. I have the whole series on dvd
3:39 Hulk: Hulk struck POSE...now CLAP....OR HULK WILL SMASH!!!!
I'd love to see Carl come back in the MCU make mention that he was face to face with the Hulk at a body building competition. That would be interesting.
I could be wrong but technically Lou is in the MCU. I think Ferrigno provided the growl of the Hulk in Incredible Hulk when Ed Norton was Banner. I know he played a security guard in the Ang Lee Hulk Eric Bana one, but that isn't part of the MCU.
Lou did also voiced the Avengers Hulk especially the line "Puny god" when he floor-smashed Loki.
I was waiting for the 2 actors to swap places. So, Lou can be the Hulk and David can be the Body builder. Now that would be epic! Always loved this show when I was a kid!
I know that Lou enjoyed playing his dual-role episode.
What a performance! Lou deserves a Golden Globe!
Lou Ferrigno meets Hulk 💪🏾😊
This is so cool. I vaguely remembered this from my childhood. But it's good to see it clearly after over 40 years. The time Thor showed on this TV series was really good too. But I remember being disappointed it wasn't as good as the comic books. But it was still good!
"We'll be seeing him again" Nice play on words considering he plays as the Hulk form
Yeah... Lou Ferrigno actuaĺly participating!!! Je... Je... that was a gooooood one !!! Blessings to those who are more than 50 y old!!!
Ferrigno: "You mean I don't have to put on the green paint this episode?" Director: "Well, kind of."
It was nice to see the Hulk get some love. The angrier he got the more love they heaped on him
Hulk Meets Lou Ferrigno... awesome.
body builder be like, "Hey, that big, green dude kinda looks like me!"
I always find it interesting how a guy would try to fight someone who’s not only twice your size but is obviously a mutated monster.
And that's not even close to Lou's best shape. He was a bodybuilding BEAST!
I love the editing of showing the hulk transform to the actor Lou Ferrigno flexing in the contest back and forth
It's funny to see Lou Ferrigno watch himself throw things around. LOL! 🤣
That's pretty cool use of technicology to have both the Hulk and Carl in same screen shot
Ah the 80s tv shows, when slow motion was used to convey strength :D
And when they find David’s ripped shirt, no one asks any questions.
There's no hulk fictional character in hulk universe so they're not aware of what we're aware of.
They think he rips it off his chest when saving him from the villains in the episode or eats him up and all you see is his shirt ripped.
Yep, when I was old enough to contemplate this, I would wonder about it. Every time Banner changed, the remains of his ripped shirt were left at the scene. Not just his shirt, but his ruined belt, boots, and presumably socks. Someone would eventually come upon them and start putting two and two together. It was shown a couple of times on the show that his boots were left where his feet burst out of them, for example. How long would it take to trace the purchase of a shirt or pair of boots back to David? If course, he obviously paid for everything in cash, a more common practice in the late 1970s. There's a lot of rather geeky questions that come up if you think about it. It's best to just suspend disbelief.
Reporter, Jack MaGee questioned stuff.
I got all five Season of that great Show on DVD in my Collection! And 2 of the three TV Movies!
Of all the episodes I remember from when I was a little kid, for whatever reason (I think cause I remember Lou and the hulk face to face), stands out as the one I always go to. Such a surprise to find this today!! Thank you!
This scene should prove forever that Lou Ferrigno and the Hulk are 2 different people.
Greatest clip ever. Personally, Lou over Arnie anyday. It wasn't the Austrian Oak that introduced me to pumping iron, it was the Hulk once a week on the telly.
Plus I prefer Loud the conservative over Arnold the communist
This is my favorite show to make a show come to life like they did in the mid 70s and early 80s without the technology they have today i give them props. I can't imagine what they would have done if they had access to CGI and technology of today it would have been off the charts.
This is the on Incredible Hulk series/movie/whatever that I ever enjoyed. They kept the creature/hero to within the limits of physics, so I never lost the ability to suspend disbelief.
But the character exists outside of limits...lol. He's a fictional superhero. There was never anything realistic about him. That doesn't make any sense to me.
@@SlasherIncorporated You can only go so far outside reality, before it's just flashing flights on a screen.
@@ThatsMrPencilneck2U For you, maybe. Movies/TV/comic books, etc. are a form or escapism and offer us an escape from reality. Superhero and comic book stuff has always been highly fantastical anyway and was never meant to exist within the limits of reality.
@@SlasherIncorporated You can only ask your audience to swallow so many conventions, before your audience is too small to be profitable.

Lou outdone himself here
That moment when Hulk suddenly realized people were staring at him. Delicious.
Wow that body builder would have made a great Hulk,
I like how they made the hulk look a good 5-6 inches taller than the 6’5” Lou Ferrigno.
The body builders in this scene seeing The Hulk throw/toss a dumbbell through the door then dumbbell holder filled up with dumbbell(s) they're like uh uh ain't no way we're tangling with this guy!
I guess Lou ferrigno was beside himself when he saw himself playing " The Green Hulk ," on The Bodybuilders Stage . LOL 😂
The series was made before CGI was invented, did a damn good job!
say what you want, but Lou Ferrigno is a freakin' beast and needed ZERO CGI to look the part.
He can say hes the only man that didnt need CGI to be a realistic looking hulk
This episode He played another part along with the Hulk idk how he did this but this had to of been awkward 😂😂😂

Great episode. You know the hulk saved banner's life a few times during this show. I don't mean when hes just angry and strapped with chains. My favourite show still 👍🏻 you know Lou's look when looking at the hulk.. awesome. He's really a great actor lou.
He is still my favorite Hulk.
The 6 year old in me is Hulking out 😂😂😂
When i was a kid i watched the episodes in the evening together with my dad. One day in the morning he showed up with teared clothes like Bruce Banner in the series when changing back from the hulk to normal....
This wasn't "Bruce" Banner
Hulk steals the show.
I swear, every episode of this series was about : _"how can we showcase different types of torture"_

Never saw this episode, but that scene of Hulk & Ferrigno looking at each other quizzically is pretty great.
I was a kid when this this played. I remember this episode. But back then I had no idea that was lou ferrigno in the bodybuilding contest. Mind blown today.
Guapísimo Lou Ferrigno y Hulk también por supuesto!!!!
