This is not a Red Ryder folks; fully pumped it is 3 times the power of a Red Ryder and can be dangerous if not handled properly. Be safe out there.

I know it’s a joke but that’s kind of disturbing. Again it’s a joke, we all know this, but the last thing under any circumstance should a kid have to shoot a gun to defend their self. Matt, pro tip, diet soda isn’t sticky when it dries. Also, my kids didn’t understand parallax with magnified optics either. I left their scope mount loose the first time they used it, I’d hold it and slide it toward and away from them with them telling me when it was good. That helped them not just get their scope in the right spot but also to understand finding the sweet spot where they had full field view.
I used to lean over the gun and use my left eye when I was a kid as well , my dad used to holler at me for it all the time , so I just switched to left handed , have primarily shot left handed ever since , but I became an ambidextrous shooter because of it which is pretty cool lol

A good trick for getting kids used to using a scope I found is giving them a scope by itself that's not on anything. Tell them to hold it out and use it like a telescope or like binoculars. This way they can figure out the sweet spot without having to wrestle around with a clunky gun.

Over the years watching Matt and also watching his kids grow between the three channels Matt has created a kind of “bond” I’ll call it and Matt has built repore-(Ik I spelled Report wrong. I wanted everyone to be able to know what it said) that has caused me to not only respect but genuinely care about his family. It feels more like friendship then fandom.
Good stuff, my kids are grown but they still remember their first day at a range with a Henry lever action youth rifle when they were 6 and 8.
This just HAS TO BE one of your best. Lots of laughter, Stressed range safety, most important the Firearm Training for the Kids. Good Early Training is just SO important. As future adults they will be about to Feed themselves and their families, will have the ability and Knowledge how and why of Protecting Family, other people who CAN'T, Protect LIVES of others, and to Protect oneself.
