  • Fun fact: Despite Travolta having intensely trained for months with the choreographer for this dance, the film’s director & editor had this scene showing only John’s face! 😮 When John saw that, he absolutely insisted that they redo the film to show the complete dance sequence in all its glory. So we have this iconic dance scene thanks to Travolta’s tough demand. 🎉😊

  • My girl took me to this hard core dance club in the city a few weeks ago, and at one point, the floor cleared back to form an open area where any body could just get out there solo, and dance. The crowd was so hype and my girl pushed me out there. It was clearly a hip hop/b boy dancing club, and I was no hip hop dancer. So I did this entire dance routine. It was exhilarating, and when I was done, everyone beat the shit out of me.

I don't know that Swayze was "professional" but he was trained by his mother. So both were dancers well before they did their iconic movie roles.
