The best part was is right before he accepted it, he had his first child and told our coach he was thinking about hanging them up. Amazing talent, the fact we can say he went and did it is huge. Amazing friend and training partner! So great to see how far Neiman Gracie has gone in MMA!

Not entirely sure but I assume the crowd was either booing the ref, the underwhelming ending maybe but I hope it wasn't Primus. I'm a huge Chandler fan but this display of sportsmanship and gracious respect in victory by Brent was absolutely beautiful. Obviously, the man was raised right. His parents should be proud. What's important is to determine who 'stung who the most' with snapping leg kicks, banging elbows and smashing punches.

  • I often wonder why many (most?) Western Thai Boxing practitioners don’t ever seem to be able to generate the same striking powers with the knee that Thai nationals can. Knee strikes and Musy Thai boxers with well-know knee strikes as their primary “weapon” are really feared there. (I spent 15 years living there). I believe that our knees (especially to the sides, stomach and inner quadricep (thighs) don’t generate as much power because we usually go staight up - from foot on the ground which is a longer move - and heavier as we’re having to fight mord gravity and hope tohave enough “punch” remaining for the strike when the gravity part of the equation is subtracted. What the Thais do that results in more knee power. Is 1. They LIFT the leg, while pointing the toe, and turning the knee out while bring it up a couple inches above his opponent’s belt height , while going up on the stable foot’s toe (for even MORE height. 2- Then with hands licked behind the opponent’s neck , he jumps up from his toe - striking knee outside and he strikes at a 45 degree angle with gravity ON HIS SIDE because he’s raised the knee high and can strike DOWN!! This works well on side sttikes Thais also pull violently on the nevk , while pulling dow to give more energy to the knee he’s bring up or in! Like he’s pulling his hands (which are locked behing opponent’s neck . To his own chest - generating more “chi” power as he’s striking Western MMA Should watch more THAI boxing in Thailand. Better yet, pay Buahkow for some knee tips.

  • Spoiler alert.. What happened with Feyodor was has really rare. Didn't like to see him lose like that. Seeing vanderlei, the axe murdered, been taken down again and again like he had no defense for that, was strange. What happened with knees on the face, he favoured those most of his career..
