  • I was born/raised in Africa, I completely relate to Trevor’s fear of snakes (I had 2 encounters with green mamba and black mamba before I was 6 y.o…I saw a python so large it’s head and tail were obscured as it slithered into the long grasses surrounding the road it was traversing. Goats disappeared from the village where it was seen). So when he told this story, I knew I would have been waiting on the tour bus before the 1st snake basket came on stage. Mon Dieu, he nailed the Frenchman’s arrogance about the “snakey”! Many people act that way until they appreciate the real thing. I FEAR AND RESPECT SNAKES. And I adore Trevor Noah’s spot on humour!!!

    @nlbhaduri@nlbhaduri Жыл бұрын
    • Oof. When I lived in Southern California, I had some encounters with some pretty big rattlesnakes. I will never forget them. I'm okay with constrictor snakes as long as they've smaller than me, but venomous snakes need a barrier before I'm willing to get close.

The U.S has saved them a couple times. I mean they lost to Germany and Prussia. The indo indochina war and algerian war. I the germans were better equipped for war yes. The owner was this guy who had allowed himself to be bitten by several poisonous snakes and was supposedly immune to snakebites. They had a similar show to what Trevor described. I was about 9 and was standing too close when a Cobra got loose. I was not afraid, I was just fascinated with this magnificent creature that obviously saw my chubby ass and thought, "dinner!" Because it came straight at me. I just remember my dad pulled me back by my shirt collar. He actually lifted me out of the way as the snake strikes in my direction. As Trevor was explaining what the dad was thinking, I don't have to wonder because my dad actually said those words to me! "Stupid idiot. Don't you know better than to stay with a snake?" In Spanish mind you. When my dad lost it he spoke in Spanish. Never have forgotten. 😂

      @myriammachiche1030@myriammachiche10302 жыл бұрын
    • CELINE KARTER :en quoi le courage rentre en considération lorsque l 'on parle d 'accent. Nous avons tous un accent, si vous étiez au fait du développement du language chez les humains même malentendants ou sourds vous sauriez que l accent s'acquiert lors de l apprentissage du langage. Il n y a rien de courageux c est un processus normal du développement du langage de l' enfant. Une personne atteinte de surdité parlait avec un accent du sud de la France, vous allez me dire : ce n est pas possible et je vais vous répondre si ça l est. Le mimétisme ça vous dit quelque chose? Nous plaçons nos lèvres, notre langue de manière différente en fonction de notre langue parlée et de notre accent donc en regardant les lèvres être articulées de façon propre à l accent du sud la personne atteinte de surdité avait un accent.du Sud. En soit le processus est plus complexe mais je ne penses pas que vous le comorendriez. Imiter un accent dans le but de parodier une langue en particulier ça c est différent.. En tant que francophone je peux juger que l accent de Trevis n est pas français, d aucunes région de France, il n est même pas francophone du tout. C est normale car c est une PARODIE et de ce fait certains traits sereotypiques sont grossis de manière à faire rire. De plus le vocabulaire utilisé dans la parodie est, comment dire, soit celui d un enfant soit celui d un non francophone car on ne dit plus SACRE BLEU depuis très très très longtemps !!!! Et les prénoms du style prénoms composés ne sont plus à la mode depuis des années. Les Jean Pierre sont peut nombreux, espèce de Cuneguonde ( ce n est pas une insulte mais un prénom).. Comme vous avez bloqué mon compte, pour protéger je suppose, je vous réponds de sorte que tout le monde sache que votre commentaire n a pas de sens.

Because the snake also watched him leave... Then as we turned back the snake was also like, Awww Shiiit..." 🐍 I would've been like, "WELL, we're screwed"... 😳

    • Oh Yeah? Check out the Battle of Valmy, pretty well the last act of the French Revolution; they repulsed the Prussians and thus maintained their Revolution; this became the beginning of the modern era of republics overcoming monarchies in the history of the modern world. Check out facts before blathering! ( Are you a Trumper too? Lemme guess. yup, you must be- bold, bursts of outright Bull.... ;-)
