    • people have no idea how much the odds of their death go up when they are not paying attention and driving to the conditions, only then does speed come into the equation, 10kh/h is no safer that 100km/h. Speed is not the cause of most accidents it is the a contributing factor to the results of all the other contributing factors mostly human error and on a much rarer occasion mechanical/electrical fault not created by lack of maintenance

      @davidperrott4502@davidperrott45022 ай бұрын
    • @@davidperrott4502Nonsense. 10km/hr is much safer than 100. A moment of distraction is nowhere near as critical if you don't travel far, and if your vehicle is capable of quickly correcting drift. At 10km/hr, I can go full steering and full brake without going unstable, but I can't do that at 100. The kinetic energy involved literally goes up exponentially with speed. That's the energy to turn, the energy to brake, and the energy to dissipate if you hit something. Pretending speed is irrelevant is just dangerous or dumb.

  • I was in a GMC Jimmy suv and my bf at the time was driving. I was half asleep in the passenger seat. It was raining hard, 2am, I was coming home from work. He picked me up & I just worked a double shift, so I was half passed out, not paying attention to anything, just chillin'. He crashed into a median doing like 50 mph, the truck started to flip over and I came to and just started to climb over towards his side. Thats all I remember. The truck didn't actually flip all the way over, it just teetered & rocked a few times, I heard all of this afterwards. I crawled out, in complete shock, and was sitting in the pouring rain in the middle of the road, just rocking, soaking wet, all bloody. Here, my friends from work were driving in a car, a few minutes right behind us and they all hopped out to help. My bf miraculously didnt have a fukn scratch on him (he admitted to me afterwards to taking xans earlier that night) I had a concussion, whiplash, 2 blk eyes, 12 stitches on my head & contusions & bad bruises all on my arms & legs. I still have aches, bad migraines, nerves, back & neck pains & horrible ptsd while driving in vehicles TO THIS DAY. I'm not a pussy or a backseat driver, i never was, but I do get super wigged out now - like panic attacks from weird shit - the most obvs medians, going over bridges in the rain, dumb ppl texting & swerving while driving, big trucks coming towards me while on a two lane highway, etc. Me & him broke up soon after, the Jimmy was totalled and so was our relationship. I couldnt trust him, he put my life at total risk. It sucked.😢

He walk me out to where a really fvcked up car was on the back of the tow truck and tells me that there is a baby missing during the collision. He tells me to grab a torch and cut the car until I find the baby. After working on the car for a while, he comes back to tell me to go to the shop and take my break. I step into the shop and everyone on the crew was laughing at the joke. I didn't think it was funny and I never forgot how I felt about working on that car.

I know it has to be really deep, because I worked for a contractor on a job where we installed light poles with anchor bases that were poured in place concrete, 3 foot diameter, and about 6 foot bury. Some years later, someone backed into one of the bases (not the pole itself) with a light utility truck (like half the size of a pickup) and the impact whipped the pole so hard that one light broke off and fell into the bed of the truck. 😂

So it also doesn't take much of anything as far as ur own speed if u happen to crash head on into a person also traveling this. 60 may not seem like much to u, but when hit head on with another which is usually the case esp on freeways and highways, that just instantly became deadly and not survivable keep in mind but this was pretty cool I have to say I really like how they did this it was quick to the point & got the job done. Proves that to be effective nothing should take a whole PSA afternoon & special time of for that noone can watch all the way thru esp the teenage type

    • Every driver should see this. I was doing 90km in the outside 3rd lane freeway in a new second hand car when the front driver side ball joint snapped. The car was thrown into a concrete barrier that I was driving next too and then threw the car over to the inside lane. How I walked away and didn’t take out other cars was unreal but the damage to the car was unbelievable

    • @@Robo11111ive learned my lesson with lower ball joints..almost went straight into a freeway on a rainy day...diverted it and took it to budget brakes immediately.
