I hope this means we get little quest like this for all Mythical Pokemon from here on out!🤩 It really adds a lot to these Pokemon when you‘re not just handed them by some random guy in the Pokemoncenter 😅

Amen to that, I've been with pokemon since the dark ages (gen 1) and just the idea of seeing a game sprite of mew was considered a miracle for a poor mexican like myself with no means to travel to a distribution event, frankly I still find it unreal I have a shiny celebi, 3 mews, deoxys, darkrai shaymin, Meloetta and Arceus, 17 year old me wouldn't believe it, I always hated that about gamefreak, they would lock IN GAME CONTENT not even behind a paywall BUT TO A REGION SPECIFIC EVENT!!! this is why I don't care if it's paid DLC now, I'd take that over how they used to do things.

I loved this, and even without a story attached the way they put Meloetta in was way more fun than just “here’s a mystery gift🫤” I know they won’t do events for every PAST mythical but I definitely hope for more stories for all future and a few fun things for some past ones too
Dude this was SO relatable to read, I never imagined one day I would have an actual, real, LEGIT Mew. For some reason I have never been interested in genned pokemon so it meant a lot to me. I just found out I need Sw/Sh to finally have a Celebi for the very first time, so ig thats the next game I'm buying because Johto for life@@omarreyes7626
Nemona not being completely controlled and still semi-aware of the battle is probably my favorite part about the story besides everyone else doing that silly dance😂

The thing that really killed me was seeing everyones dances. Arven’s doing the most halfhearted little strut, meanwhile Penny’s moving more than she has in her entire lifetime.
She's got a strong enough will to throw off Pecharunt's influence completely, but since Pecharunt was trying to compel her to battle you, she just rolled with it. That's the Nemona we know and love.
I hate her tbh but man did peacharunt choose wisely with her lol that girl would battle till no life was left in her

Carmine just showing up outta of nowhere with that CRAZED look in her eye & then proceeds to bust a move was very outta of pocket... Had me rolling on the floor, nearly bawling tbh lol

Idk there kinda wasn't much of a story. This dude just popped up we barley know anything about it besides the fact that its the reason for the loyal three and even the game didn't tell us that part. I feel like they really lost their story/lore edge pretty hard in these dlcs. Gameplay wise fun as usual though ig.

Nice epilogue. Bittersweet, this is likely our last piece of SV content before they shove us into the next game, but I’m glad we got to end it with Nemona, Arven, and Penny 😊

@@DuoIingo_Official To clarify: I believe they mean a NEW Mythical event that was actually an event/quest in-game, and not just giving you the Mythical. In reverse order, the first times a Mythical was made available: Zarude was given out by code as a movie tie-in. Meltan and Melmetal were given out for connecting to Pokemon GO. Zeraora was given out by code at stores. Marshadow was given out as a code at various game stores. Magearna was(and still is) given out as a scannable QR code. Volcanion was given out as a serial code. Hoopa was given out as a serial code(or local wireless for the cinema event in Japan, basically a trade). Diancie was given out as a serial code(or local wireless for a movie event in Japan) Genesect was given out as a mystery gift(equivalent over Wi-Fi) Meloetta was given out as a Wonder Card(basically mystery gift you had to go to stores for) Keldeo was given out as a Wonder Card. Victini, indeed from Gen 5(specifically BW, not BW2), was the last time a new Mythical had an in-game quest/event to be able to catch it. Up until Pecharunt, EVERY new Mythical has just been given out. That's from 2011. There HAVE been some ways to get other Mythicals in-game since then, including as special time-limited "events" or new quests, but those have all been already existing Mythicals, not new ones.

I wouldn’t mind a new full DLC so they can work longer on gen 10 🤷🏻♀️ a legends jhoto game would be great too. But this the first game for me since ORAS were I felt like it the closest thing to having a full adventure.
You want more a bug filled game? No thanks they need to do better this isn't the way to make the games good. Terrible story, game freezes for no reason, so many bugs that still haven't been fixed, can't even keep a still frame rate for more then 2 mins, not to mention the huge lag doing anything. And so much more yet people don't care. It's ridiculous that "fans" still claim this game is great. Never have I played a pokemon game that's been this bad in my life people are delusional for thinking it's great

This cast of characters has to be some of my favorite in Pokémon. Kieran is amazing! And I love how Nemona’s love of battling shined through the control. And her updated team is fantastic! Still wish we could see her original champion team.
It really healed my longing for more quality time with Kieran and the original crew! Really wanted to properly apologize, after we were forced to lie to Kieran in the first half of the DLC. Now we got to save everybody alongside him. This was great!

kieran and carmine are also coaches as well! youd have to rotate them out through changing the switch’s date and time but you can trade with them too! im pretty sure kieran gives you an applin and carmine gives you a poltchageist
Is it like with BB league elite 4? Not gonna lie I was kinda bummed I couldn't find a way to battle those 2 again

@@itsben_lol I was able to battle Kieran again after the epilogue. He was talking with Amarys in the club room. I would assume you can trade with him too. He'll just rotate in like the elite 4. Carmine will probably do the same.

The epilogue was fun I had a good time. It’s nice to have an event to catch a mythical instead of it being just a gift that you could only get for a limited time. I was hoping just for a little backstory on pecharunt cause why was it just chilling catching dust at peachys. This epilogue will stay memorable bc of the dancing with the theme music lol. I bet the people of kitakami are obsessed with making mochi bc of pecharunt. I didn’t expect it’s best stat to be it’s defense at 160 while it’s other stats are 88 which is weird but ig the 88 is supposed to be shaped as the chain.
Something I really enjoyed was that Nemona had some resistance to the poison.
So for 12:50 if you actually look at Kieren's posters, you'll see those circles, you'll see a few things. The first is thar they are ALL BB introduced DLC mons. And he's circled the limbs of the mons, as if that's their weak spots. Considering he said he didn't have much time since Teraopagos to talk with us, this shows these posters were from when ALL he cared about was beating us. Actually nice detail that makes me thing the Arven Penny aspect wasn't a mistake on GF's part, but Penny shoutting through Arven's phone
Since I literally theorized about the BB Elite Four’s types and weaknesses and planned four teams (mix-n-matching 12 Pokémon) just to counter them, it’s funny seeing that Kieran was doing the same thing I did.
@CraftingGummi but only 1 of the mons shown was used by the BB's E4 in his case. It's just 3 common ish mons that could be obtained by anyone else and the 4th being the former Champs's ace
Honestly, this is the first time since Black and White 1 and 2 games that I feel I need MORE of this game, more of the characters, the stories, everything, I can't believe that pokemon gaves us such and amazing stories and characters development. I obvious cannot compare both games but the feeling of waiting more and want more stuff about it gaves me that feel. After years I definitely enjoy the story despite the terrible things that pokemon do it wrong with this game, but for me, the stories was tremendous!!! Great video Austin!!!!

I actually absolutely loved the way this mythical event starts and happened and played out. Kind of reminded me of the mew truck thing (click on random thing here)
PSA - If anyone was like me and wasn't able to interact with the doll despite having the berry and finishing both the DLC fully, then it's because you didn't do the ace tournament in Paldea. That's a must, and only after doing that will this work. Rematch all the 8 gyms, then beat the ace tournament, and you're good to go.
I used Ogerpon to defeat her and she kind of reacted when you encounter her thats cool... its like Ogerpon saying "You! It's you!" 😂

I went for the Dream Ball too. It was the perfect fit. Master Ball looks good with it, too, but the Dream was my choice.
I gotta say, this was a fun epilogue. I took my time and basically walked whenever possible to places it asked me to which was cool. And man, some battles were tougher than I was expecting.

The joycons on the switch in the bedroom change color depending on what joycon colors you are using. Mine were purple and black

There doesn't seem to be an end date for this event (as far as ive seen) so thats pretty good! I still have the Gimmighoul raid event where you can get a full odds shiny(which I intend to hunt and get) so Im gonna hold off on getting the mythical pecha berry

The part where Kieran is hit in the head with the mochi is something straight out of the anime 👌 that whole scene would of been great with voice acting
It'd would've been cool if the Eevee you got from Penny had a new evolution if in the party with Pecharunt. It would've been the perfect opportunity with Eevee's connection with evolution, Penny's special lines when poisoned, and Pecharunt atleast speculated to be the one that changed the Loyal Three.

It isnt without reason, especially with the new tech possible from the Tera phenomenon, that researchers of Pecharunt are able to atleast create an evolution stone from its poison. Potentially making a Sylvally type pokemon for Pecharunt.

For the people interested in soft resetting for 0 Attack IV in competitive, the 31 Attack IV at level 88 translates to 168 (Timid Nature locked). You want to reset for 137 Attack and you can check immediately upon capture. Happy hunting!

Funny little easter egg I just discovered: in the cutscene in your room, the color of the joy cons on the switch is the same as the ones you use for playing. Yours are whitr, mine for example are purple and orange 😊

The part where Arven calls the player, Penny is talking through Arven's phone, that's why the icon is still Arven's face.
If you guys do play the Epilogue with the Loyal three, maybe bring other Pokémon which are Psychic and Ground, because some battles are somewhat tough. If you did ask, I did beat Pecharunt with the Loyal Three, which was funny and made their master pretty upset for some reason.
Really regret the fact I didn’t do this, I just said nah you get the bear. sent out my boi ursaluna, got that sweet burn from my flame orb, than earthquaked into a billion pieces…
Is anyone else having trouble getting the story started? Like I’m clicking the purple mochi but nothing happens. I beat both dlc, and got the mystica. The text show up but the cutscene doesn’t happen
there's something you haven't done that is required so I suspect you still have ! icons on the Paldea map for the Gym Leaders or your main academy which would tell me that you haven't done an Academy Ace tournament
I believe you have to play for 1.5 hours before activating Pecharunt at the table, and you have to complete original Pokemon Scarlet or Violet with both DLCS completed.
Missed some great OST in this Epilogue. Really catchy

I liked this short little ending to the story. I did notice that Penny seemed a lot more animated with her dancing compared to everyone else. Nemona's team during the final battle was kind of shocking too. I didn't expect her to have different pokemon.
When Pecharunt went flying away, I got serious flashbacks to that scene in "The Thing" where the head spider tries to scuttle out of the room and they blast it with a flamethrower.
Austin is killing it with the jokes dude had me laughing pretty hard in a Pokémon tutorial
I played this twice and it was still awesome to play through a second time, also, if you pay attention to the Nintendo Switch in your characterr room it will have the same Joycons that you are using to play the games with. Also, fun fact, who do we know that says "Adven-tour" from another game that could be Penny's dad
The epilogue was both super silly and genuinely terrifying. Gonna miss these characters. Also I just assumed it saying Penny while showing Arven’s face is cause we’re hearing it thru his phone, though can definitely see them confusing it since it defaults to Iono’s name when you talk to your actual favorite gym leader at Blueberry Academy

The Pecharunt theme remixing the Loyal Three theme is something I didn’t know I needed. It was already a great theme but pecharunt made it way way better
As if the parallels with the story of Momotaro weren't pbvious enough, they made this mythic appear from a Pecha Berry. And I assume the "Toxic Chain" implies that Pecharunt also fed the dog, the monkey and the pheasant his spiked mochi sp that they would do his bidding and fight an ogre. Pretty cool way to flip thatyth on its head, though
Yep he gave them what they wanted in return for their enslavement though I'm sure like rest they had no idea of that part and ya gf was cool to take that tale and flip it

I've loved Pokemon since Red/Blue was released in America, and when Sun/Moon were the most recent games, I collected a Living Dex of everything up to then. When Ultra Sun/Moon came out, it was so close to me finishing the previous Alola games that they felt way too similar, so I shelved them and haven't really had the drive to play a Pokemon game since then. I got a Switch for Zelda, but picked up Sword/Shield as well.. but never finished even the base game, and although I played quite a bit of Legends Arceus and loved the twist on the game mechanics, I still never actually finished that. I only just got Pokemon Violet about a month or so ago, and my love for Pokemon is so rekindled that I hunted down my 3ds stuff and transferred my previous living dex forward. I'm now working on collecting/converting it for a living FORM dex, which is a large endeavor but also very exciting. I'm looking forward to playing through the games and content I've missed, despite the flaws I see in all of them, and it's something that's had me feeling excited for future Pokemon-related things, in a way that things don't tend to excite me much any more. I said all of that to say this, even though you probably won't see it. Part of what rekindled my love for Pokemon - along with that "completionist" part of my brain that goes with it - has been watching your content. The excitement leading up to the second DLC and your videos about it was actually what had me impulse buy the game and start blasting through it, in an effort to catch up for events and such. I've even learned more from you than I ever could really grasp from my friends explaining things to me, with regards to IVs, natures, etc. I'm sad that we're sort of winding down a bit on Pokemon content, with the exception of future events and such, but I can't wait for more Pokemon adventures with your videos to help guide me along. Thank you so much for bringing this source of happiness back into my life again. (:
Little know fact, depending on the color of the switch joycon you are playing with, the switch your player owns matches the same one you have. Just noticed that when penny was admiring my switch and same for my brother game. Keep in mind we use different color joycons

I don’t know if it happens without the event. I don’t remember ever seeing it happen when playing the Teal Mask.. But I noticed when you walk outside to look for Nemona a meteor shower starts and dozens of shooting stars go across the sky for a bit which kinda added to the mystical vibe that the fog and high winds were already helping portray.
Happens any clear night they chose that for the feel of the story I'm sure though
