  • I know you might not see this but you helped me a lot with these videos, I was 342lbs November 11th and I just decided it was time to change I bought a exercise bike off of Facebook and I do 18 miles a day , then I do a 45 min swim in my pool all upper body, then I go for a 2.6 mile walk with my dog, every day have not missed a day or took a rest day and today I weighed in at 256.4 Iam almost down 100 pounds and swimming has built muscles I dident know I could build, Iam still trying to get to 200 but Iam addicted to working out I love the sore arms and muscles it's addicting, I went down 6 pants sizes and went from a 3XL to a XL thanks for everything, also I count my calories no sugar, 1300 calories a day and I take my vitamins,

If you can afford it I would suggest boxing, it will help with flexibility and strength training while also learning how to defend yourself. 😂 I puked on my first day from the intensity.

  • So I always watch the daily sam vid post workout and today's just might be the best one (for me) he has ever done. 1. As I am on the hardest cut Ive ever tried before I am anxious about muscle atrophy, which he said not to worry about. 2. Talked about his lack of trap work, as I was always wondering about that. I do a lot of traps because I think traps are freaky 3. SUUUUPERRRR 4. Ive never really worked out with other people consistently, and so the working while nobody is looking just kinda hits home 5. My next goal after the cut will be 315 for reps :) 6. Nothing is gonna stop me from these gainz Just really appreciated everything he laid out today. See yall tomorow :)

When I started to think about this i've always pretty much lifted alone even at public gyms because nobody Lifts Like I do and I like my own pace And intensity .. And there's always conflict of schedule and people are behind or ahead on what body part so i've just Went at it by myself and i'm good with that

  • Speaking for my self - I think it’s that mentality of having people around and - I could be lifting solo , however having people around , sought if watching gives me that extra motivation. Something I need to work on , need to find that “dog” in me where it’s like I can push myself to my limit and that alone maxes my satisfaction.

  • 30:00 "Weight wise I'm kind of maxed out". I see what he's trying to say but if the spirit of that statement were true that would mean there's no more progress to be had, no more muscle to build. The weight for reps you lift has to be going up if your hope is to build muscle, it's not enough to just "go hard' and hope you build muscle. Your performance doesn't have to go up every workout or even every month (after you get more experienced) but if it's not consistently going up over the weeks and months then you're simply not going to be building much muscle if at all. This is especially true if you're a natural lifter. Now I'm not saying he needs to be curling the 80s to be making progress but if you want bigger biceps your curling performance needs to be increasing. The tricky part about this statement though is not to increase your performance at all costs, but to use a technique that maximally targets the muscle and that technique probably doesn't look like using momentum to move the weight. Meaning, no you probably don't need to be curling the 70s just yet. The hype up speech til the end of the video was spot on though. I completely resonate with learning how to love the process. The people who get into lifting solely for the end result are always the ones who fall off.
