  • Let's be honest. Before the U.S started to help Ukraine, all these problems about poverty, crime, and people not able to buy groceries has been going on for decades. And i'll bet you if this Ukraine war had never been started, the U.S gouvernement still would not spend all this money to help the American society. Without the Ukraine war, the whole situation in the U.S would still be exactly the same. So forget about the U.S gouvernement spending hundereds of billions to end poverty and homelessness in your own country. It simply doesn't work that way. All politicians that have the power to decide how to spend the American tax payers money, have other interests. And helping the American poor population, is definately not one of them.

We need to help prevent Russia entering Europe, as it is the biggest export market for the US and many other Western countries. Our troops will end up sent to fight if it's not stopped by Ukrainian solders. We only spend 5% of our defence budget, yet our military aid is decimatiing our long time enemy Russia. Also we can't let Russia control Ukraine's grain as is 10% of the world's production Worse China is watching, They will act the same if they think no one will stop them.

    • @@willjames6437 - I think we have passed the issue like country as such. It is easy to point the finger at US, but it is not that simple. Is much more general: corporate greed. Even Cicero was a bit vocal about greed itself in his "The Nature of Gods". It is all about a human nature, greed and competition. Even at the basic level (office roles, competition at that stage, or even "neighborhood": I have a better car than my neighbour, a larger house, more money, higher salary; office roles, all about temporary power and greed, mostly driven by a basic human ego), and all while whole ecosystems are dying, people have less money, standards of living are slowly being lowered, while corporations are reporting records profits all the time. And it has been like that since a few thousands years (not mentioning Cicero again as such but even check some of the Alan Greenspan interviews when he mentions a "human nature" in regards to a stock market or Wall Street). It is just more visible now, but at the end, it is all about a basic human instincts, nature, and definitely > greed, driven by the ego. All about next year stock market price, next year profits, while the planet is slowly being destroyed (just check what is happening with plankton, which produces almost 50% of oxygen on the planet). After all, the economy and stock market must grow constantly - we are bombarded with that basic info all the time from various media (even if the resources are limited; you cannot get more stupid and ego driven than this), and "I'm happy to be working 8:00 to 17:00+ every day" (not including the time to get to the office and back), doing almost the same things every day while waiting for my retirement, in the name of all that. A pinacle of the average life, with a house and a car, and a holiday once a year, watching entertainment all day long, and going to a local pub/restaurant/short trip once in a while. "Bread and Circuses" - and not much has changed since that "observation". I think we will have much bigger issues in the close future than worrying of what US is doing as such.

Fema is also provides housing. People recoup most through insurance - She seems to think we paid 100 billion cash, but most of it is in stockpiled weapons and training. Our annual budget is over 800 billion, and most of it isn’t helping anyone, unlike those 100 billion. And lots of it in humanitarian aid without which thousands would die. Also, some of it is effectively a loan. - no one said “we don’t know where 6 billion went”. They just overestimated the cost of weapons sent, bc military accounting is a mess - Homelessness crisis is one that is solved by housing passing laws and regulations, what does it have to do with Ukraine? But it’s so easy to scaremonger about homelessness isn't it? Yes, we can help Ukraine and solve domestic crisis both - no one is saying you should care about Ukraine. • The US brought this fate upon itself, as did other democratic countries in Europe and around the world. We think that by voting in democratic elections we have influence on something, but this is not the case. The world is not ruled by governments, but by secret services such as the CIA, Mossad, KGB, etc., and billionaires who own 99% of the world's wealth. If all billionaires move their companies from democratic countries to developing countries such as China, India, etc., who will we work for? This is already happening faster than we think. An example of how this will end for us people of the "free" world is the bankruptcy of Detroit in 2013, which began in the 1950s. Now entire countries will go bankrupt. The name Adler Berriman Seal should explain the issue of drugs in the USA. He is no longer alive, but there are probably hundreds of people like him cooperating with the CIA today. I'm not from the US, but what I wrote applies to every democratic country that has no control because they put almost all their property in private hands.

Isolationism, will reduce USA to regional power (19centry status) so NO MORE printing dollar for free (will lead to fast collapse of USA economy -because it is base mostly financial products). Surely American voters should see the benefit in ensuring an active foreign policy to avoid creating bigger problems down the line. Do we really think that China, Russia, Iran etc will make the world more stable without a US foreign policy? If we use Ukraine as an example, with the cost of circa 5% of the defence budget, the US is ensuring the erosion of Russia's conventional military power. When the majority of this money is actually going to US defence contractors, is this not a cost efficient way of weakening global threat No.2?

  • Candace is exactly right. She's dancing around a bigger problem and I'll see if I can articulate it more concisely. We used to build value here in the US. We used to extract our own mineral wealth. We used to refine our own ores, manufacture our own steel, and run factories to produce the things we needed. That wealth trickled down all over the country and built our middle class. As a nation, generations of us knew prosperity because we were self-sufficient. Then, for various reasons, we stopped doing these things, and the result is that we had to buy the things we need and want instead of making them ourselves. Our wealth as a nation was drained and we see the evidence of that poverty in countless different ways from aging airports, crumbling bridges, endemic poverty and the depression and demoralization that comes with it, and most importantly, the shrinking middle class. The American dream is no longer a reality anymore for Americans. We not starting businesses, buying homes, starting families. We're struggling paycheck to paycheck, the government runs on printed Monopoly money, and Paul Krugman and his ilk tell us the economy is fine. It's not. We need to rebuild our country from the ground up. We need to invest in our own again. We're not the global police when we can't even police our own cities. The idea we're going to fight a war in Taiwan is laughable. We couldn't do it if we tried. The solution to the semiconductor problem is to build a factory and make them here.

The EU afraid of Russia invading their countries and frustrated by US non interference decided to ditch the US and they become Russian ally. China will see how the US doesn't care and pretty soon they invade Taiwan. The rest of Asia saw how America doesn't care about them they will ditch the US & become China's ally. In 20-30 years time China's economy will be far bigger than the US and their military will be more advanced than the US & they have the world as their ally. China will want to seize control of the US. They will set up tens of thousands of police stations across the US. They will dictate the US what to do. They will force the US to end democracy and start implementing communism. Is that what u want? I love how short sighted Republicans are. Even someone considered bright like Candace doesn't understand this. Right now is a critical moment in world history. Is it fun to spend billions on Ukraine, no. But it is also necessary. It's also funny that Republican voters voted for 2 wars in the middle east, a war that proves absolutely zero benefit and only increased terrorism a lot more than before. But when it comes to a war that is necessary they back out. Stop being short sighted. PS : It's also funny because the whole world has been a puppet to the US for 8 decades. Everything the US wants they have to follow the puppetmaster order. But the moment things got out of hand, the US decided to ditch their allies. How selfish is that. There is a saying, do not trust the anglo saxon. This saying couldn't be more true than right now.

It's one big corruption scheme, and all those Republican/Democrat Politicians, and all the other Politicians of the so called West, are in on it. Stealing, lying and sending poor saps in Ukraine to their deaths against a far superior Russia (1 to 10 or 1 to 40 tanks, air defense systems, fighter jets, battle ships, soldiers, missiles systems, etc.).

If the threat from Germany was obvious to the USSR, then the United States did not want to enter the war until the last moment. Which country hung its flag over the Reichstag? • In the 60's there was this little incident called the 'Cuban Missile Crisis' it is supposedly the closest humanity has come to nuclear war, and is portrayed by the west (mainly US of course) as 'Russian aggression' because the Soviet Union convinced Cuba to install Nuclear warheads on it's soil, this is an Island 1500 miles off the US coast. Because Russia could see the exact same thing was about to happen on their very border with the Ukraine, they pre emptied this and invaded. This was instigated by the US, which has been trying to get Ukraine to join NATO since the end of the Soviet Union, which would then have resulted in the Ukraine taking the same position as Cuba did and install warheads pointing at Russia on their very doorstep. That would be like Wales or Scotland installing Nuclear warheads pointing at England at point blank range across a soft border, England as any adjoining country would do, would follow the exact same thing the Russians have done under these circumstances, as would ANY country, this would never be allowed to happen. The US isn't 'supporting' anybody they created this situation on purpose, the Russians have only 'invaded' the Ukraine because they know they would end up with Nuclear weapons along their biggest border if they had not. It's a win win for the US. Never ceases to amaze me the naivety and gullibility of people, this bullshit has been going on for years now and people are still soaking up all this crap. All you have to do is look around at the absolute clusterfuck the west has turned into and the disgraceful laws that are being passed daily by western countries trampling all over 'freedoms' encroaching on human rights and enacting criminal laws on a daily basis, In Scotland it has now become law that you can be arrested for words spoken or written! The thin end of the wedge . The media bias and complete lies you are being fed on a daily basis is unprecedented, it is incredible to see what absolute rubbish country's like Britain and of course the US are trying to convince people to accept.

We need to help prevent Russia entering Europe, as it is the biggest export market for the US and many other Western countries. Our troops will end up sent to fight if it's not stopped by Ukrainian solders. We only spend 5% of our defence budget, yet our military aid is decimating our long time enemy Russia. If anything, the Ukrainian war has had a greater impact on the European economy because they've had to invest hard in defense budgets. Yes, we do have money that's being improperly allocated and should be going where it would benefit the most people... but that's mainly because every time someone suggests doing something about that, people like Candace Owens scream "communism" or "social responsibility" and torpedo the debate. America investing in Ukraine's war against Russia is a net win-win for us for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is that Putin is a total psychopath, and Russia and America will never be allies as long as he's in charge.

There is a major chunk of information that conservatives like Candace are missing, in the US and abroad. True communism includes countless twists and turns in the many ideologies it creates. The people at the top don't believe in any of them- they are throw-aways, and so are the humans that they get installed in. People still think in terms of simple sentiment. Here is my point: Anatoly Golitsyn explained ahead of time that communist strategy after Stalin was to fake a collapse, and continue world subversion under another name. The communist still control Russia. Golytsin was correct.

  • I couldn't pass by this video. I think it's fair to say at the beginning that I am Ukrainian. It's interesting that Americans either don't know or prefer not to remember that Ukraine gave up its 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in the world in exchange for American (and not only) protection - which it didn't receive. I mean real protection, financial support, although now there is no such support either. You may argue that the Budapest Memorandum was somehow incorrectly signed - but history remembers everything. And now this girl brings up an analogy with a house. So what should the analogy have been: In my house, there was a lot of weapons. The district police department told me to surrender my weapons on the grounds that I am dangerous to this district. The police undertook to protect me from any robbers. I voluntarily gave up this weapon - to strengthen peace. When the robbers came - they killed my children and stayed to live in their rooms, then I turned to the police for help, and they replied to me - you know, we have high gasoline prices here, elections, someone is unhappy, and anyway, we don't owe you anything, and all the agreements are kind of there... well, okay, take 100 bucks. In reality, it's worse - your country knew about the attack and didn't do anything, no - they gave a couple of bows with arrows. And now they ask us not to bomb Russia because, you see, gas prices in America will rise. America betrayed its ally.
