THIS is how you order the new Mustang GTD!
We are giving away the ULTIMATE F-250! Check it out! bit.ly/F250_Giveaway
Ford unveild the GTD Mustang! This vehicle has a 5.2 liter V8 and 800 HP. One unique thing about this Mustang is that the transmission is not mounted right behind the engine. So what happens is you have a front mounted 5.2 liter V8 directly after that, there is no transmission. You go straight into a carbon fiber drive shaft. Onto the exterior almost every panel is made out of carbon fiber. The door skins are not carbon fiber. Onto the aerodynamics, some of this stuff that they're putting on this vehicle is actually illegal in a lot of racing. For example the carbon fiber hydraulic front flap system. Ford is also doing an options aero package. In this package there will be an underbody aero tray for better efficiency and airflow. Now, talking about the big spoiler. Everybody talks about the spoiler in all the videos that I've seen. But what is great about that spoiler is that it's actually mounted to the c-pillar.
Onto suspension, in the front of the vehicle you have a short, long arm front suspension. This helps give you a more stiff ride when cornering. For the rear suspension they have made a horizontally mounted coilover system with dual spring rate and dual ride heights. Onto tires, the front tires are 325 millimeters wide and the rear tires are 345 millimeters. The standard wheel for this vehicle is a 20 inch Forged Aluminium, but there is the option of a Forged Magnesium. The brakes will be carbon ceramic Brembo brakes that have dedicated cooling ducts. For the technology there is a really cool feature. A Variable traction control system. So when you're in the track mode, you can adjust how much horsepower the car is giving out. Now onto the list of options. Akrapovic Titanium exhaust. The active aero package. Carbon Fiber bumpers. Forged Magnesium wheels. Custom paint colors. 3D printed titanium interior. As far as the pricing is concerned, this vehicle is going to start at $300,000 but with the options, that price will range.

My first car was a 65 mustang convertible. I currently own a 2015 mustang 50-year edition with almost 13,000 miles on it. It still maintains much of the original features but sadly this later model someone gave it an overdose of steroids. And looking at what Ford has been doing in the last few years makes me think they're trying to price it out of existence. They tried to change the Ford mustang with the Ford probe and got caught but this could be the end of the Ford pony car. I also have a 79 foxbody Giha V8 hardtop.
Brilliant show and the greatest MUSTANG ever and also very well explained thank you very much for the update. From Sydney Australia 😢😊😊😊😊
Great review. Thanks for the info!
Michell, the deck lid is able to come off, at least the pre-production version of them that was shown last week. In the event that you were there in California, there were two szeus fasteners, which will be an inch or so after the rear window, at the front corners of it. This means that the deck lid needs to be lifted off the rear of it. It will additionally mean that a couple of people need to lift it off. How they'll put hinges inside of it while not seeming so terrible, I don't know. They'll think of a solution to this slight problem.
Thanks for the information!
That is one hell of a vehicle. Love it 👍🏻
ITS A JOKE, there already sold, go buy a real Mustang that you can drive.
Jealousy, I'll get you nowhere.

I don’t want a car built in Canada
@@pablonosnothing.1952 - Not true Bruh, they won't be available for sale until late 2024 0r early 2025. Even then, there is no guarantee you will get one. Sale needs to be approved just like the 3rd gen. Ford GT. The new Mustang Darkhorse is 500 hp and is just as quick 0-60 as the Shelby GT 500, with 700 hp! The GT 500 will beat it in the 1/4 mile though, as expected.
Like any of us watching, can order one... Do we know if there gonna offer and XL version?

What an awesome Mustang
Do you know if the mustang GTD will be at the Detroit auto show ?
Will ford make a crate engine version of this GTD Mustang can buy the engine and drop it in my 2300 pound 2022 Mx-5
I think that Ford should have debuted it in Bright Red and called it the return of the Cobra R
The cobra r is nothing compared to this, the cobra r name would even degrade this car
The Cobra R would be about as much of a threat to this beast as a Pinto!
🤣🤣🤣@@Loulovesspeed
@@seancolon9890 For the record, I loved the Cobra R when it was released and still do. I saw one early (7:00 a.m.) at Watkins Glen dicing with of all things, an SVT Focus! Just the 2 vehicles on the track having fun. Believe it or not, the SVT Focus stayed right with him at the corners, but was obviously left well behind on the straights. While the Cobra R was a rocket with 385 hp, the GTD with over 800 and far superior suspension would embarrass it for sure!
What does it weigh?
5:22 Yeah let's see how that smoke does when you hold the wand lower...
great!...A vehicle no one can order or afford plus it's a gas powered. Hopefully some of this coolness will make it's way into the production vehicles!
@silvermaxd - You sound like the perfect customer for a used Pinto!
The list of goods on the GTD is long and legit! Ford is being serious here. Stop the silly comments about price being too high because its a Mustang. Stop being ignorant and take a real gander at whats being produced here. You may not like it but ...Ford isnt selling some exotic poser car.
Well said Sir! 👍
I would love to have one and have it painted in Champagne. 😍👍👍👍
Excellent presentation!! Thank you for not trying to be too funny. Only 1K units? That hurts.
1,000 - 2,000 at this time. Obviously could change.
Does the 4 cylinder 185hp version …come with the wing?
@realscience948 - Actually, the Eco Boost Mustang 4 cylinder for 2024 puts out 315 HP. Not too shabby for a 4 banger!
Amazing that Ford would do this...I am very impressed. BUT I heard they are also talking sub 7 min Nürburgring times...just as an FYI, you need to get down to 6:43/6:38 to get to the current record for a production car, which the 2018 Porsche GT2-RS still holds...and Porsche will probably be introducing the the new GT2 RS soon (a guy who owns a 2018 GT2 RS, which I paid $340K new in 2019.
They seem to be shooting for the likes of the 2RS and/or AMG GT Black. I'm currently doubting whether Ford can get a car - a car that's both heavier, and only has a 50/50 weight distribution - to beat either of them. But heck, even if they just get pretty close, I'd say that's impressive, especially if it's at a price point that's a little bit lower.
Tires. Nothing magical to run 6.40 They are running r compounds The GTD is using the same tire Literally look up Cup2R tires
@@WindyCity1992 You can't run a 6:40 without damn good tires. But the tires don't automatically make you run a 6:40 either. There IS something magical mixed into the equation.
@stevefowler2112 - Ford never said they will SET the record, just that they were using sub 7 second lap as a goal!
This beast in the Ford Liquid Blue would look so menacing just like the Ford GT and the Raptor look menacing in that color 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@christenn32 - Better yet, if you live within driving distance of any sports car road course like Laguna Seca, Road America, Watkins Glen or Like Rock Park, You will almost assuredly see one there. I saw my first 3rd gen. Ford GT at Lime Rock in 2017.
Two things, have you ever taken the GT to the Barber track in Leeds? And for Ford, then need to give you all an allocation so that you can take the GTD to Barber MSP
I’ve driven it past Barber Motorsports park. Does that count!? 😂 We don’t intend on tracking the Ford GT. But we ABSOLUTELY would track the Mustang GTD!
$300K? Sounds great! Where do I go to GetTotallyD’d?
I think it's funny that you even said "fuel economy" 🤣🤣🤣
If Mitchell gets one, you can guarantee that it will never see a hard enough turn to need a dry sump oiling system.
Wanna bet. 😂 I’d love to take your money! 🤣😂
Well they'll sell st least 1 GTD. Jay ( Leno ) needs to park something next to his 2023 Demon 170 he picked up this week.
Exactly these are the folks who will get one. Ford is NOT going to let dealers have any, so stop drooling.
this car will be faster than a Demon 170 because of the much lighter carbon fiber body & rear weight transaxle
Leno is a Ford guy. No way he's not gonna get one of these.
Jay Leno is about one person who I would have no shade to throw at for buying one. He's a through and through car guy. I can respect that and he's got the money, so... naturally, he'll be on the list, and he worked for it. Some other people, not so much.

This car looks like something you'd see in an anime cartoon.. but it's real
What is the GTD going to weigh?
Well, the GT500 weight is over 4100-lbs. So I'm just guessing the GTD will come in somewhere around 3700-lbs to 3800-lbs range. Ford hasn't said anything about it yet.
Cool car, for sure. Not a cool price tag for me, but definitely a cool price tag for the 1%
At first i was thinking its not worth 300k but your video is the only one I've seen. Go into this much detail, and after this video, i think it's priced, correct .
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

10:34 Kinda feel a missed opportunity to call this the Mustang Raptor GTD?
I put an order for four of these from my local Ford dealer. They made a market adjustment to 500k, forcing me to reduce my order to three cars instead. That just blows.

Step 1 - Find a job with a 7 figure salary... On a side note, love the styling & purpose of the car. It also gets people talking about the brand.
Only financially savvy and disciplined people try to buy a car that's under a third of their annual salary. With the national average income estimated to be about $55k, and the average new car price sitting at around $48k, it's safe to assume the vast majority of people who buy a new car pick one that's more than 80% of their salary. So if you're an average person, you only need a $375k salary to buy one of these. Now in my book that would make you insane. But that seems to be what a lot of people do.
@@xtnuser5338 That's probably a very accurate statement. It makes me wonder every day what people do to afford $60k+ trucks and $400k+ homes, there can't be that many doctors, lawyers and business execs. I make a good wage and choose to drive a truck with almost 400k miles because it's been paid off for a few years and runs just fine.
@@xtnuser5338- You could have stated that much more compactly - This is not a car for everyone!
@@Loulovesspeed A more succinct version would render several pertinent factors necessary for accurately explaining the correlation between annual incomes and societal levels of consumerism to the OP. He had already mathematically calculated the reasoning behind your redundant final statement of : “This is not a car for everyone” (i.e.) It’s specifically not for annual income earners of less than $375K. 🙄
@@Virvum_Juggernaut - Well congratulations Dr. Juggernaut! You contradicted yourself from the very first sentence! Do you even know the meaning of the word succinct? I doubt it as your version of, I guess, trying to explain your explanation, is anything but succinct. You try to come across as an Einstein, but only muster enough credibility to make you a Gomer. You are a real wiz bang Dude! P.S. - Don't take that as a compliment as it certainly is not intended to be.
This car just came out of nowhere lol. But I’m pretty sure it means a new corvette besides the eray is also about to come out.
It may have come out of nowhere, but it has been formulating for several years!
I wish Ford would tour the country with this and give Mustang fans a chance to see it. This is one of those cars that you could live your entire life without ever seeing one on the road.
@Bezos-cp9gk😅

Does a parachute come with this car
It probably needs one!

Can I trade my 2021 Bronco on it?
Thanks for the video. We all would like to see a detailed interior first. See the difference with the Dark Horse interior. But, really, $300K USD is insane as most people would spend that kind of money on a high-end Porsche Turbo or GT3 Coupe. As a current 2022 Mustang GT owner, I would opt for the new Dark Horse. Happy wife, happy life.
This a supercar/racecar built to be road legal, that means that the only vehicles compared in this price range are vehicles with the same goal in mind, make a list of cars like that which has a lower price range but can manage a sub 7 min lap run on the ring. Other than that I don't know where this notion comes from that 300k is too much, literally every race car that exists costs well above that.
Respectfully this car is gonna cream a lot of those high end cars
@trevorlewis24 Yes, it may be the case. I'm looking at it from a personal view as to which car I would buy for over $300K USD that is an all-rounder, track & road legal. The subject mentioned Porsche would be better in terms of build quality, including materials, qualified servicing, repairs, insurance & running costs. Why would anyone spend this much for a Ford? High end always.
@@konkombotis5549 That's ironic, Ford is actually better known than Porsche for their services, especially repair costs, insurance and running there cars in general, most high end cars only recently got reliable enough to daily drive, before than they were trash and would break often and would cost way too much to maintain. Also what exactly do you refer to when speaking of the build quality, and materials ? This Ford is build by many types of expensive, durable and high end , materials literally used in race cars, and it's being built by multimatic, one of the most well known companies in racing, so I don't see how it's any different or expected that Porsche is somehow better because it's simply Porsche when they weren't really known for such things before.
@@konkombotis5549if you paid $500k for a Ford GT a few years back, you'd be able to sell it now for over $1 million. That seems like an OK reason to pay that much for a Ford.
I would order it just like the one there like that but I know i can’t never afford one of them but you can dream
Can we all just appreciate how TC editors made the thumbnail? Not only did they make the wing comically large, they somehow got it to blend in perfectly with the car.
To the rest of us who can't afford this car.. , let's just appreciate the car and stop being jealous!
I can't wrap my brain cell around the $300,000 price tag ???
Can the wing be made larger….
Sure, just hold a magnifying glass up to it! LOL
I’m going to apply for one, i highly doubt they will accept me
Ford finally gets it. Applying technology to the Mustang that has been available on high end European cars for years. Looking forward seeing the GTD compete in the IMSA series.
So many of the super cars look like something from Star Trek to me. Amazing but not inspiring. Now the GTD on the other hand looks like a super car I can relate to. Of course I am a Mustang guy, 3 GT convertibles in a row, the latest fully specked with perf pack, magna ride, active exhaust, 10 speed, forged wheels, a GREAT car. I only wish I could afford to try and get an allocation. Maybe I can win the lottery soon. Lol.

✌️ peace mitch
Cyber Orange Metallic. Hmmm
Ok now I know how to order. So you haven’t told us how to get the 300k
When the GTD debuted I was in the “it’s too much for a mustang” crowd, 300k is well into the big boys club where you get into the ultra-exclusive cars. Then I started to really think about the overall picture. People pay over 300k for a GT2RS or GT3RS and no one says, “you played 300k for a 911 Carrera?!” what is an RS level 911, it is a heavily modified base 911 with very high-performance racing parts, a ton of R&D, and very low production numbers, this is the same receipt. While Porsche has a very impressive and lengthy racing pedigree, Ford has repeatedly shown us when they are willing to cut a blank check and burn a river of midnight oil, there isn’t really much they can’t do. If I remember correctly an Italian racing company laughed in their face years ago and got the surprise of their lives. Is this car going to be too much race car for the road, that remains to be seen as there is still a lot to learn since Ford has released very few details. Heck, we don’t even know what the inside looks like yet. I am hoping that this street legal race car has the amenities you would expect in a road car, yes, I hope they study the best ultra track focused road cars and soften the edge just enough to make the car enjoyable on the street. As far as the price is concerned, even though it isn’t finalized yet, it is about 25% more than a GT3RS. I hope that they can either bring it closer to 250K or make some of the supposed options, titanium exhaust, active aero, magnesium wheels, as standard equipment. No doubt that part of the price is exclusivity as this will not only be a very limited run given to a chosen few, but this may very well be the highest performance road legal ICE “Mustang” ever. I’m sure other brand loyalists will always dismiss this car as a “mustang” no matter how many records it beats or how capable it is but in reality, the GTD shares almost nothing with the mustang you buy from your local Ford dealer other than the name. I just hope Ford puts it in the hands of the right people.
Plenty of detail in the video that I have not seen elsewhere (really good on information)... but, you didn't actually say "How to order it " !!!!!!
