The extraordinary 1993 live show - conceived by Peter and Robert Lepage - was filmed across two nights (16 & 17 November) at the Palasport Nuovo in Modena, Italy.
The Secret World Live tour itself was in support of Peter’s sixth solo album, US.
The concert has been digitally restored and remastered from the original 16mm film stock and the audio remixed and remastered in Stereo, Dolby 5:1 and DTS Soundtracks.

Everything is perfect. A live performance that "sounds" like a record heard on an esoteric system... At this point we enter in a party. A celebration of music. 30 years have passed, it still remains the most beautiful concert seen live in my entire life (over 250 concerts of all kinds seen...) After 30 years hearing Paula Cole's crazy voice again and remembering her from under the stage, with her dress, Doc Martens boots and an enthusiastic face... An emotion that will accompany me forever. Thank you Peter. An evening engraved in the soul.

She was a last-minute substitute for Sinead O Connor who pulled out of the show. Paula literally had only a few days to learn the songs. I remember her interview where she said one day she was singing in small venues and the next day being flown to Paris to prepare for the tour.

This is always my feel good song so I play it after every chemo session when I get home. When I have the energy I try to (badly) dance to it as well. So glad people can’t see. It would take a poet a thousand years to fully describe such an amazing performance. This one song could be the soundtrack of everyone's life. The African influence is especially refreshing as well, it's amazing how one song can capture the essence of beauty, love, gratitude, pride, family in a manner of minutes. I was at a concert on this tour in 1993 with these artists performing alongside Peter Gabriel. To say it was amazing just isn’t enough. This was the final song performed after two encores. It brought the house down. I’m so glad it’s recorded to be enjoyed all these years later.

This goes out to my sister she recently lost her son my nephew in April 😢. She was on lake were her son loved to go, it was a beautiful lake with pink lilly pads. She told me has she sat on a paddel board in the pink lillies 2 Dragonflies landed on her arm 😥😥. This song came on & in that instant she felt her son was with her. I absolutely believe her this loss has been unbearable for our family. He was such a kind hearted young man just like his mother my sister. She said he loved the lake and the pink lilly pads. It broke my 💔 for her; but it gave me some hope for her and our family. It made her feel comforted in that moment and this song was playing she knew he was with her. In your eyes, pink lilly pads, 2 turquoise dragonflies on her arm.
This is the greatest, most uplifting live music peformance I've ever seen in my life...I literally watch this video almost every day. I'd also say that Manu Katché doesnt get NEARLY enough credit for his mind-boggling drumming throughout this song. His complex yet super-catchy polyrythms are the backbone to this performance, and I'd argue one of the key peices to what makes this performance so magical. JUST BRILLIANT, all around.

I bought a dvd of this recently, needing a nostalgia trip during a miserable lockdown. I am too young(at 53!)to remember Peter Gabriel in Genesis, but became a huge fan in the 80's and 90's. He has continued to evolve and change with the times brilliantly. He has worked with some wonderful and diverse talented people...totally without ego. I think this song has to be one of my favourites, as it evokes some personal memories every time I hear it. Wonderful performance!

The entire "Secret World" concert is probably the highpoint of his carrier, with the incredible Paula Cole, the always fantastic Tony Levin on bass, the likewise fantastic David Rhodes on guitar, and one of my favourite drummers, the hard hitting yet melodic Manu Katché.

I have just watched this for the 100th or 1000th time and burst into tears again. With joy, for it is the most joyful performance I have ever seen. I was lucky to see this concert in Sydney in 1994 just weeks before my first son was born. And lucky again this year to see I/O in Chicago. My favourite performer ❤️
It is a very rare thing when an artist does a song so well and the engineering of the studio production is so great that it turns out perfect. Peter Gabriel did it twice on one album. Red Rain and In Your Eyes were those two perfect songs. It is even a more rare occurrence to hit one of those perfect songs out of the park in a live performance, yet Peter did it with both of them in this concert. Well done Mr. Gabriel. Well done indeed.

I always loved this song but this performance is astounding! This is a ceremony of love, joy, and freedom. The choice to dance your own dance while enjoying others! The option to change your dance and still have the same love and spirit of the song IN YOUR EYE"S. We all have a choice to dance how we like to the same song with others Anyone who attended this joyous occasion was blessed!!!! Hats off to all artists and everyone involved with this video being preserved in the hallows of the TUBE !!

Listening through headphones - I have tears in my eyes - can't really explain why - the inclusion of the complete audience with such talent is uplifting and so incredibly moving. What a privilege it must have been to have attended such an incredible concert.

Some years ago, I listened to this song at home before I had my first date with this girl I really really liked and had known for a little while. When I got to her place to pick her up, she was listening to this same song after just taking a shower. The album had been out for several years already, so it wasn't that it just came out. Sometimes I think she thinks I just say that to make HER feel good, but it's true. I was the lucky one though, we've been married for twenty-one years this last May. I'm a lucky dog. I am not worthy, but I try to make up for it every day.

I've watched Secret World Live multiple times and now I got to experience the extreme pleasure and excitement that audience must've felt for myself. I saw this man rock it out in Montreal, alongside Manu Katché, David Rhodes, Tony Levin and a batch of newcomers, saving this one for the end, as usual. And I love it!

Quite simply, the greatest version of the greatest song I’ve ever heard.
This entire album is magical. Every piece of it is as if it was divinely planted. Every song, every performer, every movement, every person in the crowd, every lighter. It's so good, it's almost like everyone in that place was destined to be there at that spot at that time. It's almost as if life at that moment was scripted to the very breath. Cant wait to see him on his I/O tour.
And the ones that aren't jealous they laugh and giggle with you at their mistakes big life with you it sure makes it better
