    • @@JayJay-yy5xz im only 21 yet ive seen the 90's films theyre considered a must see by a lot of turtle heads (hardcore tmnt fans) and while this film was good the old films are always going to be the better ones. the first films in a franchise are almost always the best. the 2014 and 2016 films are considered reboors and while their graphics are better the story itself is kind of weak. its good but compared to the older films their weak. shredder had great plans in the old films like trying to weaponize the mutagen instead of just using it as a cure to rule the city. the plot hole with the 2014 film is that just cause you cure a city doesnt mean their going to bow down to you like shredder seems to believe. while in the secrets of the ooze he makes rahzar and Tokka as test subjects to see if he can make a mutant army. which is foiled by the turtles. the old movies make shredder less intimidating in appearance but much more of a threat in his plans. i feel this shredder is more like a egotistical child who got his hands on a new cool toy and now thinks the entire city belongs to him. thats kind of pathetic to me. since in other incarnations of the character he doesnt look scary but by his voice and plans you see him as a threat. i reccomend watching the old movies younghead. they may not look great visually but the story and characters are 10 times better than the reboots. again im not saying the reboots are bad they were a fun watch but i just prefer the 90's films since they were my introduction to tmnt

    • It just kind of has a similar issue to what I saw in the earlier Bayformers movies: The movies are really good when focused on the titular characters, but the other ones tend to bog it down even if they're necessary to the plot (Humans in TF play major roles often, but the Micheal Bay ones weren't on the strong side for the IP). Similarly her, the actions scenes and the typical characters like the Turtles/Splinter/Shredder were pretty solid, just didn't care much for the movie's original antagonist or Will Arnett's character by comparison.
