More difficult for adults. 🤣
Being a child, I admit
For me, actually no, whatever my mother asked, i did it good, you just need to be teached early.

@@user-p7up8l4k You need to include a question mark at the end of your questions, but you have forgotten to do that. Also, your second sentence is an incomplete idea. "Not for me to have views _ _ _ _ _." There is a subject and a predicate in an English sentence. You're missing one of those. Can you tell me which one? Finally, your third sentence doesnt need the comma toward the end. That would be unnecessary. Best of luck as you continue learning basic English.

Actually the ability to abstain from immediate reward for another greater reward in the future is the greatest predictor of success, particularly in children.
He is intelligent knowing the KZhead video won’t work if he did the same thing like his sister. So he ate, which also made the video work.
@@dps8629 this is why we need to abstain our selves from earthly sinful pleasures of the flesh which are temporary. Turn from sin and repent and beleieve that Jesus Christ came and died in the flesh for our sins so that we would be saved through righteousness by faith. By surrendering Ourselves to Jesus Christ we are granted a greater reward which is eternal life with our heavenly father!

Men will be men😂
This is a psychological experiment, not just about patience, it is about how well a person control the urge of satisfying one's desire or relief of one's pain. A person's social value is proportional to one's ability to control his urge. Long trace experiments show, the more of this value, the higher the chance to be successful in adult career and life. I think this is second most important index of a person, to IQ. Of course I am not indicating this video saying anything about the girl and boy, the boy is much younger. Plus, girls mature earlier, it is not a fair comparison.
“Ohhh, that’s a lot.” Patience rewarded.
I was too impatient watching the video.. *Damn*

@@twdjt6245 girls are more mature, if you compare kids untill they are 15. Here we just see good education. There was a "order" or plan and she respected her dad. The other kid is too young. The original test is asking the kid to wait, so they can have double the candy. If there is a reward, you can test how kids think about the now and the latter.

@Not all antimasks are shallow hal Trump supporters there is actually no problem with calling for your mom or touching stuff is there?, plus people are different so..
All children have patience problems it's not at the snap of a finger they're born patient or do everything they're told. Of course she was moving them around tapping her hands because she was anxious and just wanted some candy. Yes she was like every child and moved around alot. My daughter and son both have adhd. I did this with them. They did the same thing. Moved around a bunch and touched them but didn't eat them. The little girl was like what 4 if that? All kids Don't fully understand absolutely everything at that age and of course are going to do what they are supposed to. But that's why we guide them and teach them. she listened. Above all I was extremely impressed with the little girl. I Don't know how this comment went from my opinion to her being so sweet and patient to someone saying.... Your the reason kids Don't listen and your what's wrong with this world. Jesus we all have opinions but life also isn't matilda where we use the rod beat the child either. My children are disciplined by grounding they've been spanked twice. Beat? No. Used anything but my hand? No. They listen get great grade and are extremely respectful. We all have our own methods. Parents putting other parents down is sad. Unless they're abusing their child or doing wrong Don't judge others. It's just ugly period.

@@iixzxvagaming8296 the fact that she said the baby who was stuffing candy in his mouth by 32 seconds was more patient than the baby girl that was able to resist the temptation over 4 minutes, tells you a lot. The girl in this video is to be admired. The attention span of children combined with temptation, but she remained honest and obedient. When given her reward, was she greedy? , quite the opposite. Her eyes lit up as she spoke about how much it was offering her dad to eat Ruth he. Better than most of us. We as adults failed temptation in the garden of Eden with one fruit when we could have any other.

This is modeled after an experiment called "The Marshmallow Test". The test measures the child's self control which is a major predictor of how successful they will become as adults. But, he did it wrong. Constantly reminding them not to eat any is cheating. Also your supposed to give them a small amount of candy and explain that if they don't eat any candy they will be rewarded with more candy. This gives them incentive to control the impulse to eat and wait instead.
"He did it wrong". Uh, or he just wasn't doing the marshmallow test? Like what?

I remember when my daughter was her age I don’t think she would have lasted 30 seconds. This little girl is patient and selfless. What a little princess.
This was based on the marshmallow test. A test like this for kids girls age then the tracked the kids for 30 years into adulthood to see how their success and happiness as adults compared to the results of test as kids. As kids they had a marshmallow placed in front of them and they left in empty room 20 min. If they didnt eat it before adult came back they got a 2nd 1 and could then eat both. If they are 1st 1 before adult got back they didn't get anymore. Those that waited were lots richer and happier 30 years later as adults. Those that couldn't wait were flipping burgers still at 35.
When his son started eating all i could hear was: DAMN IT FEELS GOOD TO BE A GANGSTER!!!
The research tells us that in the long term children who can delay gratification do better on all levels. Academically, socially, psychologically etc. Good job little princess.

I agree. It isn't so much about not having any patience, the boy is too young to understand. You sit a glass full of bright colored anything in front of a toddler, and its going right into their mouths.
You never too young to try it. Recent studies apparently just shown that kids can learn object permanence as early as 18 months, And that's a bigger skill than plain feed patience
@@RobeonMew this isn't about object permanence though, it's a test about self restraint
