    • People underestimate children so much, I used to be so confused as a child on why people never really took in what I was saying and they still dont (I'm 13). I remember thinking if why people used to always smile at me but as soon as they looked away they'd be frowning and it made me sad to see them upset, so I always told myself that I'd be smiling all the time so if someone looked at me and saw me happy they'd be happy.. I try to smile alot and it can be hard sometimes but if we were all happy then we'd be able to hold each other up :) thanks for reading this, I didn't expect anyone to, have a great day/night. Love you

    • Im almost an adult and my parents still dont let me get a word in. It's nice to see someone being raised a world apart from how I was. I have issues speaking out, among emotional issues overall, cause in my opinion, if you dont let a kid feel out their emotions and say them, then it's difficult for them not to be emotionally guarded all the time. I learned to speak when I was 2 and it has been over a decade and I feel like they have never listened or even discussed issues with me without ignoring me because im "too young" or that its not in my place to express myself 🙃 Anyhow at least i know why i have/what problems i have to work on. Im a lot less emotionally guarded and i let myself feel things a lot more

    • @@TheFakeyCakeMaker people disagree, it's healthy to see a disagreement unfold and be resolved in a functional way. But fighting, yelling, name calling, blaming, using difinitives, etc. Are toxic for kids to witness. And it teaches them dysfunctional ways to handle their emotions and relationships. It also makes them insecure and creates issues with trust within them thst last a lifetime.. So if you are fighting in front of your kids, and from your response it sounds like you are, you need to stop it. Just some advice from a person who works with special needs and at risk (read "traumatized") children for 18+ years. DON'T FIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!! If you don't believe me, read a book on it. Amazon has tons of factual information from doctors, educators and various scientists that work with kids.
