This week's full length show takes us on a route through Scotland from Isle of Skye - Eilean Donan Castle - Rum - Egg - Mull - Iona - & Fort William - also taking in spectacular highland lochs and glens. Hope you enjoy it!
I am from South Africa and fell in love with Scotland during my solo tour of 17 days in May 2006! I traveled by bus from Glasgow to Oban, did a three island tour (Mull, Staffa and Iona) traveled by train from Oban to Fort William, went up Ben Nevis with the cable car. Traveled by the Steam train to Mallaig, took the ferry to Isle of Skye. Stayed in the Pink Guest house in Portree, rented a car and explored the Island. I left my heart in Isle of Skye!! Took a bus then a train to Inverness. Bus trip to Edinburgh (O what a city!) i went to Arran, rented a car and explored the island too. I wish I could go back again, but the finances are a problem. Thank you for your videos xx
I am a Scottish Canadian. I am obsessed with Scotland. Have hiked many a mile all over. The West Highland Way (7 times) is a world class trek. My mother was born in Glasgow (Dickson). When I’m in Scotland I feel as though I am home. I would agree that the narration could have been much more authentic had it been done either by a lad or a lass. The Anglo pronunciation detracts from the soulfulness of some of the magic that is Scotland. Otherwise.......magnificent. The views are stunning.
Haste ye back friend 🏴🤝🇨🇦
I am from Greece and used to admire the Mediterranean kind of beauty. This footage is a revelation of a very different, unique and inimitable concept of beauty possibly carved by a higher spirit. The landscape, the light, the colors, the bewildering calmness and the ambience of this video is an elevating experience. It comes as no surprise that Scotsmen have fought for so many centuries to protect the identity and freedom of this eerily beautiful, timeless land of theirs. Thank you very much for this upload.
Both parts of the world are beautiful, from a Greek-American.
Went to Skye for two days. Stayed three months. Only departed due to an illness in the family. The Skye people adopted us as locals and our hearts remain there. This was last year and we intend returning at the end of the present tourist season. The magic and history embrace you.

To all who helped created this wonderful, film, thank you.
I’m so proud to be from Scotland! What an amazing country.
And, despite all the banter between England and Scotland, always very friendly.
@@andrewh5457 That's all it is mate, banter. But some snowflakes can't take it.

Me too!
I am from Brazil and the first time I heard of the Isle of Skye was when I was a teenager by 1963... reading The Legend of the Spanish Gold as mentioned in the video. 35 years later - 1998 - I had the pleasure to spend one week in Skye... Fantastic...
Francisco Moraes I’m heading there on Saturday.
My dad's grandmother ,born in the mid 19th , according to my dad , launched out a can of Campbell's soup, into the street, having seen it in his mothers pantry. This happened probably sometime in the early 1930's . She shouted at his mother, never to have anything Campbell in the house. A childhood memory of my long gone dad ,who witnessed a form of living history. A family tale coming down the centuries from Glencoe.
I’ve been to Scotland twice now and your videos will be used by our family when planning our next visit. Thanks!
Been there and desperately want to return there. What a marvellous land with such an abundance of history, nature, culture and kitchen. Truely, Scotland and its people is one of earth's treasures.
It’s kind of beautiful that this comment section is filled with so many different languages. People all around the world are able to enjoy the same music, type wholesome comments, and have their days improved while lifting up others too

I am from Spain. I love Scotland
Thank you for creating this journey around Scotland. I pray I get to visit my ancestral homeland before I exit this earth. So much I want to see and do.
When you come to Scotland make sure to go the Highlands
Ah and in addition to what I said below, fell in love with the Scots, my Keltic cousins. Their women are all beauties and men, poets. Now, retired in Baltimore, recovering from a long illness, dream of those days, with a taste of good Scotch whiskey and a tear in me eye. Love to all the Sons and Daughters of St. Andrew! An Irish American Cousin
Thomas O'Donnell good scotch whisky? Is there any other Tam? Lol Hope recovery going well. Leith
'their women are all beauties and men, poets'...that cracked me up. Most scottish women look like wrestlers and the most poetic thing most Scottish men say is 'get tae fuk yae coont'.
A like this brother and XXX all the best wishes
Iam from Bavaria. Which Is a Part of "germany" we had the Time of our live in scotland. To See such a historical beautiful Country was Worth every Pound in the World. The weather was Not a Thing. The Landscapes were Stunning. The People Kind and wonderful. Thank god for scotland. If there Is a god Or any higher Force on Earth , Then scotland Is their work. Thank you scotland and scotsmen for a wonderful Time. We See each other soon !
@Huppe..Thanks for the compliment to Scotland,I am glad you were impressed and enjoyed your stay, Bavaria has beautiful landscapes too, I would love to have the time to visit the area..German people are one of the largest group of tourist to visit Scotland, along with the Netherlands, I sometimes meet and share conversation with Campers from both countries, and their love for Scotland is very much appreciated.. " Haste Ye Back!! " as they say!!
Scotland is a home country of God and his family members *smile and the celts have founded much more nations in Europe and the world .. By the way the bavarians are familiar .. the celtic tribe of the Boier - the younger ones *laugh . the older and first are the Czech ! It was an celtic rouler which built with his three daughters(Princesses) the Golden City Prague!
Rae loved that. I’m Scottish and from Shetland island but we love our history being Scottish and makes us feel very proud. Indeed if god did make Scotland he knew what he was doing as its beautiful
BlaVViax Vielen Dank für Ihre freundlichen Worte, aber sie waren nicht notwendig. Dass deine Zeit in Schottland angenehm war, danke dir genug für uns
Why do you put Germany in inverted commas?
Thank you. I have been researching my Scottish family tree. Love seeing the locations. Visited once in 2000, enjoyed very much. From Washington state, USA, currently in stay at home order due to Covid virus.
McAskill = Western Isles
Hi Linda. Just came across this video and noted your post. I too have been researching my Scottish family ancestry. My paternal MacIver and Morrison ancestors came from Isle of Lewis and Harris in the 1880's to settle in and around Lac Megantic, Que. I already had quite a bit of history of the ones who arrived but not of their ancestors. My best find for researching outside from Ancestry.com was the volumes of work done by Bill Lawson, and listed at hebridespeople.com. A cousin in Que put me on to this source and the few books I purchased took just a few weeks to clear U.S. customs but the wait for each one was well worth the effort. My maternal ancestors were of Lancaster and Spragues (English) and I had a family compendium that filled in the Lancaster side with complete families of many generations. Been working it for 4 years or so but interestingly you would think that staying at home as much as possible during this pandemic I would have plenty of time for my "hobby' but alas I have been slacking! Anyway, good luck with your family tree research.
Wow......really a beautiful country. I would love to see it for myself. Love from South Africa💕
ill take u for a pint
I'll hold your pint while you go out with him!
Anita Maree ZA is beautiful too.
Stunning, absolutely stunning! Would like to hop on the Jacobite right now and escape to this beautiful landscape!!
Was in Scotland at the end of April 2022 ! Enjoyed greatly !!! People were extremely kind !!! Edinburgh now is in my heart !
Scotland is one of the world's most beautiful countries !!! Amazing
I toured Scotland for seven consecutive years, and camped all the way. I often let the kids decide which route we took, so sometimes we zig-zagged up to the Cape Wrath region, or just hugged the West Coast all the way round to John O' Groats, with detours up The Great Glen. And of course Dunnet Head is the true most Northerly point of mainland UK. Which was my favourite part? why all of it; but especially the Highlands, and Islands of the Inner and Outer Hebrides. My only regret, is not 'taking the Gaelic' - yet.
I'm from Scotland. The Highlands are a photographers/video maker's paradise.
Of all the places in Scotland, the Isle of Mull is my favourite. My Mother used to say how she loved the Isle of Skye, as do I, “but wait ‘til you visit Mull”, I told her. So we took her there on holiday and visited Iona too. The weather was beautiful. Sunny, with a gentle breeze. At the end of our holiday she agreed with my opinion that Skye is a wonderful island, but Mull has something magical about it that we couldn’t put into words.

Love Scotland! Have been to many of these beautiful places over the past 3 years. Can't wait to go back!
I am from Dominican Republic, and I admire the beautiful castles, the relaxing calmed documentaries about the castles of Scotland, the Celtic Culture and other cultures of Medieval Europe, a beautiful time of beautiful castles and smart great warriors
Juan, I am John from Scotland and I have heard and seen many beautiful things about your country too. The Dominican people are lovely and so friendly. Amazing people
LEER FILOSOFIA ES LA UNICA SALVACION DE LA PATRIA I’ve been to DR a couple of times, Puerta Plata and Punta Cana. Lovely people and a beautiful country.
Do you believe the Donan Castle was built without power tools / electricity?
philyb3040 Yes. I believe that. I was there last week.
Delta November Impossible!
Every frame could be used as a photo to hang in a frame. So gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
I love your channel. As a geologist, I appreciate the geology content, as well as the geography and history. I spotted the caldera immediately, of course, and the basaltic cliffs of Skye, they have columnar jointing in places. Thanks from a new subscriber in San Francisco.
I swear I'll visit Scotland, such a beautiful place...
You will be more than welcome,Ben..let's hope its sometime soon.
Ben Skelly I swore the same thing. I saved for two years and went with 4 other ladies and I swear I'll go back. I have to, it's to beautiful not to see again.
My parents emigrated to Canada in the 50's, and I've been to Scotland twice. Very young, I don't recall much but the shipyards made a lasting impression in my memory. I actually wept at the magnificent beauty of the land in this video.
ITS MY DREAM TRIP
Daniel Hanney spoken by a non scot... go visit england...😀
I would love to live the rest of my life here, it's so beautiful in Scotland! 💞🌹
Then come!
Gotta love these drone shots! The Isle of Sky looks super epic. Nice job!
A FABULOUS video which brings back memories of two holidays in Scotland; the first just in Skye, the second - a short few years ago, visiting Skye again, plus Harris & Lewis, Mull and Iona via a total of eleven ferries! Wish I was back . . . on this New Year's Eve! "Should auld acquaintance be forgot . . . "
After watching this I am very very homesick.
I love Scotland. I wish I could move there.
I wish you would as well x
What a beautifully shot video. It's lovely to see a different angle on places that I know so well on the ground. Thank you.
I lived all these beautiful places in my camper car. Incredible journey, loved watching it again :)
My family, the Mackinnons once owned a large part of the island of Skye and Mishnish (including Tobhar Mairi/Tobermory) in Mull. We lost it all when the new British Parliament confiscated our estates after the Jacobite Rebellions in 1715 in which my family sided with the deposed Stuart dynasty, kings of Scotland, England , and Ireland. We managed to buy our estates back, but we could not afford the installments , so were forced to sell all of it. Today, the Mackinnons who once held 300 sq kilometers of estates in Skye and Mull with income from some fifteen villages, can only visit these wonderful places and admire the lands we once owned. Many other nationalist families suffered the same fate. Some of them were executed and imprisoned.
My gran was a Mackinnon, she was from Glasgow, she went to St Andrews uni and became a doctor. She loved her tartan and nature and wildlife, she was a true Gael. She used to tell me about Skye.
Beautiful work, brings back memories of my trip there! The highlands are so stunning and breath taking! It is truly worth visiting! The Jacobite train ride was great too!
Lovely. I’ve been to loads of the places featured. Love Scotland 🏴. I plan many more visits. Never tire of the place.
Most beautiful place I ever visited.
Love the aerial shots. As a professional photographer I spend a lot of time photographing Scotland's magnificent and dramatic scenery and castles.
The tour I recently did, covered a lot of these parts of Scotland. What a fantastic time i had.
Thank you for showing it , just wonderful this Island.
Just back from Inverness, visited Culloden Moor, Ullapool headed north to see the views of the Summer Isles, unfortunately couldn't see Harris and Lewis too cloudy but the view was stunning. Came home through Fort William, visited Glenfinnan, seen the monument and the viaduct, and down through Glencoe, God it was Stunningly beautiful. Will return. Been to Mull from Oban, Iona, Mallaig ferry to Skye. Next time taking the A87 from Fort Augustus to the Kyle of Lochalsh and further north. I am lucky to live in Scotland.
Fantastic! Adding this to more areas to visit and discover.
Tomorrow, I'm gonna watch this again ♥
Great and informative video. Scotland is on the list for sure.
BONNIE SCOTLAND ❤ STUNNING BEAUTY ❤
Beautiful Scotland.

"There can be only one" Here we are, born to be kings. We're the princes of the universe.
These documentery series are my best 👍
Loch is pronounced like the ch in Christmas. Loch Leven is Leeven. Eilean Donan Castle is Aylin Donan. Ardnamurchan (still ch in Christmas) is the most westerly point of the British mainland. Staffa, near Iona is a columnar basalt island whose cave inspired Mendelson's Hebrides Overture. Just south of Mull is Corryvreckan, the second largest whirlpool in Europe. You could make a dozen videos, but great shots of what was covered.
Magical Scotland, land of my ancestors. I'm dying to go and see it all.

Coming to Scotland in October. So very anxious to get there! Wonderful video!
Karen, Stick to the West coast area of Argyll and Bute, and Lochawe region for more breathtaking scenery like this, and Glencoe is a must. enjoy the visit..the weather is forecast to be not too bad for the rest of October, which helps to see the best of Scotland.

Great and Astonishing peace of land on the face of earth.
I am fortunate to have been to most of these places. Thanks for the video it brought back dreamy memories of my younger years. The Isle of Skye reminds me of a good friend who i lost nearly 12 years ago. We went camping on the mainland over looking skye. Some powerful memories. I want to go to Scotland again one day. Its such an amazing place.
love Scotland.
Thank you for the beauty!
One of the best teaching movies about Skye and the Isles. I have been twice on the Isle of Skye and in the Highlands. This is one of the best documentations took in HD on a video ever. The best way to enjoy this video, look it on your Smart TV with the youTube plugin available for the most newer Tv sets. If you´re planning an adventure in your holiday in Scotland this is a "have-to" before you´re go to plan a tour. 5 Stars to the Camera and the Cutter of that movie ! Very good work ! Go further on with such amazing movies of our Planet and - of course - Scotland. Yes for Scotland ! Thank you for this video! yours Jan
EXCELLENT!!! Highly Informative. Direct correlation to historical facts learned long ago! Exciting! Geologically fascinating! A land that has long fascinated my interest is now laid out like a platter! How I recall reading about the McDonald and the MacDougall clans! Now to see the land itself gives me the final perspective I've needed for soooooooo many years! Plus the Viking history! All, Totally Exhilarating! Completion of many books inclusive of encyclopedia books! Not only confirmed my mental images of the topical landscape but added even more! HUGE THANK YOU! 😃 TREMENDOUS THANK YOU! 🤗
Wow! such wonderful nature... Fantastic :)
It's amazing!
This is so awesome video Just reminding me of so many more places that I need to go still In Scotland 🏴
Wonderfull video and excellent narration of he area. I have visited Scotland over 50 times for holiday. No place or country can beat it
Awesome video. Beautiful. Liked.
I love Scotland, we climbed up to the Old Man of Stor (first clip), in wind and rain and mist. It was worth it even thouight we couldn't even see the top of the old man! We ended up at Durness, the very top of Scotland. Campervanning all the way.
Outstanding! Loved it!
Now at 88, been to and enjoyed almost every bit, plus St Kilda. Climbed Tower Ridge on the N. face of Nevis. Oh how I wish to set foot on it all again. May it be well kept for the future Generation
Great video! I cannot wait to get to Scotland some day. Definitely a dream of mine.
Very, very good doc. Makes me want to leave bland Nebraska and spend several months, at least, exploring Scotland.
Your video is amazing! Hope that oneday I can travel to Scotland.
We drove through Skye to catch a ferry to the outer hebrides to visit my family...it took my breath away!
31 years since I took the ferry to Skye (no bridge then). Bed and Breakfast with the Cummins Family in Portree. Hiked up high oved the Heather washed peaks. One sunny afternoon, actually saw steam rise up from the woolen rug in my room. That is how damp it was. The Scots are a hearty tribe. Best food I had in the UK was in Skye and the Highlands. Twas a bonny vacation!
Absolutely Brilliant Video Thanks for sharing....🏴
I love how positive people from foreign country’s describe Scotland 🏴
Scotland is a replica of serenity for its residents as well as the tourists. Almost every natured sight described here, uninhabited by the human civilization, is a sight to behold
So many beautiful places such as Govan Hill and The Gorbels.
